Frostbird
So - which style of game updates would you prefer? WoW - Slow and steady, only massive content updates are payed for, big patches every six months or so. But Devs keep clear 'pet classes' and you aren't likely to see a balance fix for months. Rift - Super frequent balance updates, your class may go from super OP to gimped to balanced back to gimped back to OP in the space of a month. New content arrives at a trickle though. DCUO - Ambitious, but devs basically do their own thing. Lots of content but mostly bought in microtransactions. Devs focus on balance and new content, but game stays horribly buggy for a long tie. Warhammer - Devs focus almost totally on content/bug fixes and let balance go to hell. Everquest - "Were looking into it" for the next 3 years, but frequent under-the-hood fixes and updates. Bioware so far seems to be very eager to release new content as opposed to fixing the various issues with existing content. I am not sure how I feel about this. Personally, I'd rather rescources are pumped into polishing this very promising but flawed game before additional content is worked on. TL/DR What do you think is the best thing to focus on? Balance, Bugs or New Content?
Frostbird
Personally, I am in favour of much more polish, bugfixing, addition of a group finder and balancing classes and professions (no, this does not mean 'make them all awful'). Then focus on new content, when sufficient people are done with the old stuff.
Serpenttt
There are people screaming for more content, people screaming for bug fixes, and then people actually playing. Can't make everyone happy. Me, I'd like some optimization in the fleet and warzone so I can have more than 20 fps which makes my skills take forever to activate. I don't think this is true. It's more that the people writing the content (ie: artists, writers, quest scripters, voice actors, etc) can't actually contribute to the bug fixing so they continue to work on their components. There's no reason to stop those people from working just because the rest of the dev team are madly bug fixing now.
Toweleeeie
High res textures, but apparently to get those back Bioware needs to optimize the engine. So i guess an optimized engine 1st and high res textures 2nd. Oh and did i mention high res textures.

The high res textures already exist, we're waiting on the coders to fix their engine so they can display them.
Izorii
I like the DCUO idea. Keep throwing content at us
Rahemo
Considering the game has only been out such a short time and still isnt available to buy in stores in some countries, i really think they need to work on polishing the game up and fixing alot of the bugs they currently have. I dont see the point in adding more content when the game you currently have has so many bugs and flaws already existing.
michaelfavaro
I'd prefer a game that was ready to be released.

How can a story writer fix the lasershow bug? Let BW do their work for at least a few months. Then we will see which dev cycle they will settle on. Their goal seems to be: Frequent bug fixes, small but necessary balance fixes, quite frequent content updates. That is what they will have done once 1.1 is out. I hope they will keep up the pace.
