Do you get any kind of error message or does it just crash straight to desktop with no announcement other than the game disappearing?

Do you have issues with any other games/programs?

I ask because while your machine isn't a powerhouse it is enough to handle it fine at lower settings (may get the occasional sub-20 fps in a crowded area).

So it barring some kind of actual hardware failure (which would start to reflect itself in more then just this game) your setup should not be having issue.

Part of it could be with the download/game file itself. Can try running the repair utility that is tied to the launcher, and if it finds nothing even uninstall the game and re-download it.

May also want to check your display drivers make sure they are fully up to date and check what version of directx you have installed.

If you can tab out while the game is up, check your cpu and RAM usage-- it won't be a complete view since you aren't exactly at taxing points yet but if they are spiked high that tells you something right there.

I had this problem happen to me. I installed from the disks, and apparently it's a faulty launcher problem, resulting in a faulty patcher problem. You can verify this by looking for the fixlauncher.exe in your x86 folder in your program files (if it's not there, you need to reinstall the launcher)

If you download the launcher from the website, it'll install clean and you'll fix your problem.

Hope that helps!
