Should we blame Bioware or the Community?

So ya, Bioware many people love this game, many hate it. I'm sure people going to come in here and spoon feed me this "more love it" crap, but lets be real here. Both sides don't know if it is true or not.

So with that being said, I'm upset with you bioware. I'm upset that you would company wow, down to the very class we play. I tried two classes that I wanted, and both of them are mimics of wow classes down to the core talents. Why? Did you think the players would not notice? Would you think that playing a star wars version of a wow class would make us happy?

We left wow because we spent a long time in it. We was bored of it. SO WHY THE HELL DO YOU FEEL THE NEED TO COPY THE CLASSES FROM WOW? If you don't understand what I mean look at my sig, go compare sith inquis talents.

I don't blame you fully bioware, I blame the people who are sticking around more so. The ones that bash wow, and say this is not a wow clone. This is better, the ones that is willing to pay you monthly for this easier version of wow. Yes I said it, easier.

The reason why companies throw out trash like this is because we the consumers are suckers for it. I can only hope the kids of tomorrow won't turn out like the kids of today.

I play a Bounty Hunter, it is no where near the Paladin, Mage, Warlock or Druid I had in WoW. I fail to see your point.

Ok, I'm sorry that some of the classes are not a copy.

I've always played a warrior. I love the class, I wanted a new way to play the class after playing wow for years.

I come to this game for a fresh new start, and I'm playing wow warrior.

and don't give me this other mmos does the same. EQ warrior was not like wow. Warhammer (ugh bring that up) is not like wow. UO warriors not like wow. Let's see..i could go on.

So basically you saw "some" similarities between a Warrior class and a Warrior class and you assumed that the entire game is a copy in regards to classes? You're playing a class that throughout gaming history has been an "in your face, hack and slash type" class. What did you expect?

Honest question.

Some? SOME? did you look at my link? Did you compare talents to the wow class?

How about sith inquis? They are a copy also. It would not be a matter of some, I could forgive some. Like you said it's a hacking style. However, what they did is a insult to not only to the player base, but to wow.

First, I dont understand why people think people play only one mmo. MMO's are not highlanders there is not just one.

Second, I have not left WoW, my sub is active, I am just taking a break from playing tell the next patch (which might be MoP since blizzard said there is no more large content patch until 5.0 [the pre MoP patch])

Third, WoW as learned a lot over the 7 years, which Bioware should of did its research on what makes an mmo successful and sadly, Swtor is wow with a star wars skin on it but missing many of the standard features. so yea I want the features with my star war skin.

fourth, A different lore is enough for most to play star wars and the voice acting but it still needs the standard features to make a playable.

Hey folks,

While we do appreciate and read feedback, both positive and negative, we do ask that said feedback is constructive and respectful. We do understand that frustration with game elements does happen, but feedback regarding these should be posted in a way that does not incite flames or non-productive dialogue.

If you need some guidelines for posting constructive threads, we do have a post here via our Dev Tracker that explains it:

In addition there is a thread which has a compilation of feedback you may want to read and post in here:

We'll be closing this thread, but do encourage folks to post constructive feedback about the game in future threads. Thanks for your understanding!
