Kaladorei Posted January 17, 2012 Share Posted January 17, 2012 seriously bioware did you intend to gear this game to ranged...i mean lets look at an example, the 4th boss in battle for ilum, he has like 4 abilities, 1. a single shot that does moderate damage, 2. spawn adds, 3. immune to damage by 100% and finally 4. ALL MELEE DAMAGE IS REFLECTED BACK AT THE ATTACKER FOR 12 SECONDS. now im a tank, but why the hell are you forcing me to take ranged over melee, i should be able to do any hard mode and group composition. how did this crap get left in this game really. Check the final boss in EV Soa, another ranged favoured fight, the distance between mind spikes and the boss when u drop a pyrmaid on his head is dumb, take ranged all fixed, take melee and it takes so long to get to boss its wipe. Bonethrasher: not tankable, chases random targets, does a swipe (which is buggy has hell and has a tendancy to hit behind him) itsbasically a cleave. does a stop knocks everyone back, so if yall just ranged its a kite fight, if ya got melee theres a large chance that he will bug cleave the wrong side of his body, and kill one or 2 melee who clearly were miles from him as he has such a massive hit box. these are jsut a few examples the list goes on, some mechanics need a big change i think.
