Barn
So i'm almost full Sharpshooter, and got to thinking. At least 80%+ of my attacks are ranged attacks. Am I wasting their potential by stacking cunning instead of Aim? Cunning I can see as useful for things like the grenades. Would be the stat i'm after on a Scoundrel for healing etc. But for a ranged smuggler?
Doxik
Cunning is the main stat for smuggler period. Aim is for Troopers only. Mouse over aim and cunning, you'll understand why.
Barn
Cheers. /facepalm I was actually looking at my companions Aim, not mine. Its annoying that the stats have different description based on who your looking at :/
heybarn
Man, weird to see "Barn" as a posting name as it's my name irl Anyway, Cunning (plan) is the way fwd. I started off thinking about Aim as well (was confused), but have gone mainly Cunning and Accuracy now (plus Crit and Tech Power). CupieFoxtail
Aim is not ideal, but it is pretty good Look for cunning over it, but aim has all the same non-tech damage effects as cunning

"Not Ideal" is basically the same as "Completely Worthless."
CupieFoxtail
This is an MMO. "Not Ideal" is basically the same as "Completely Worthless." I should elaborate It's not ideal if you ever plan on respeccing to saboteur and wearing the same gear If you plan on only playing a sharpshooter, it is 99.999% ideal The only thing it wouldn't effect that you might use would be just damage on trash mobs. If you can get 100 aim or 99 cunning, get the aim. If you can get 100 aim or 100 cunning, get the cunning

I figured you were talking about gear choices in this case, so, no. Edited January 17, 2012 by Balanque

Bartes
I pick cunning over aim always but it hasn't stop me from hunting Aim datacrons. Would like to know one thing tho. Are cunning and aim benefits cumulative or not?
Cenntril
Not that i would take Aim as a Agent but i have been thinking this also but more in consideration to holocrons. I would like to know if Aim has in influence to the damage to agents... is it worth me collecting the Aim holocrons? danarchist
From what I can tell each class has a primary stat that basically recievs a class "multiplier". E.g. if cunning is your primary stat 1 point of cunning gives you say 4 points of power, whereas 1 point of aim only gives you 1 point of power. These are obviously strait out of the booty numbers but you get the point. Whatever your primary stat is will increase your actual pow pow by a multiplier instead of a direct 1 for 1 (or whatever) value. Aim still gives you a modest amount of extra pew pew, but is of far less weight than the pow pow a single point of cunning gives you. Somehow in that explanation I even confused myself. Back to writing my implementation guide lol

It'll provide you a small boost and it's not like you're missing anything by getting it.
