Would you support a Team Deathmatch style Warzone?

As the title says. I'm not talking about arena, I'm talking about a Warzone where the goal is solely to kill other players. I see a lot of this in Aderaan and Huttball, where people just give up and wail on each other, regardless of objectives or goals.

 

So, this type of Warzone would appease the twitchy kids who get used to playing MW3. They can just charge at each other, gank away, and then instantly respawn 5 seconds later. After 15 minutes, the winner is the team with the most kills.

Deathmatch isn't really an objective, it's like your bonus mission. The only way this isn't boring is if you don't allow teams and throw 15 people into a ring/arena for last man standing, with no respawns.

 

This is what world pvp is for so that the numbers on any side are always shifting along with the setting.

I would be up for this + 4v4 death matches or something.

A TDM warzone is basically just an 8v8 arena minus the coordination a smaller organized team brings. Allowing premades into this is opening the door for the same kinds of things that make arenas problematic with teams organizing comps based on what is considered imbalanced or "cheesey". In the end it will come down to whoever has the better gear or if they have a healer when you're pugging.

 

This is not to say that a large TDM or "arena", with or without respawns wouldn't probably be extremely interesting and dynamic based on what Bioware has given us so far. There are just a number of items that have plagued the mode in the MMO scene in years past and I would hate to see the PvP in the game get downgraded because the hivemind thought of the masses is upset with the poor balance of one match type.

I love objectives, but being 1-2 going for objectives gets old :p So a tdm like option would hopefully give them somewhere to brawl, and a nice breathing room for one self. But thing dont think itd sort the none objective players out of obj matches. After all the easiest target to kill is a objective player, as thier more focused on completing objectives. And people like thier kills cheap and easy..

I have to say YES and agree with the OP. All i do is pvp (grinding VL65 after CL 50) a not one time have i say teamwork in a pug pvp WZ. its either premade or bust. SO since ppl wont work together either 1. give us a deathmatch WZ or 2. only reward the victor.

Team Deathmatch would be great to have for a Warzone , just to change it up from the usual Objective based Warzone.

 

Some good slaughter fests would be nice to have lol.

 

Indeed, and Objective being to slaughter would hold the hands of the people who never do objectives anyway, thus not hindering us.

 

It's a win/win for PuGs.

I would, but I think they need to allow queuing for specific warzones first. They could make some incentive to queue for random once in a while, but I really, really, really get tired of playing huttball.
