AtotheG
Hello guys Here goes my briefly msg summarizing my briefly experience with swtor, but before I say it , let me clear out that I'm a hardcore Star wars fan. 1- Ordered Fan edition 2- Waited for the game to arrive, dreaming about my Jedi knight toon. 3- Install and created a Jedi Knight. 4- 3 hours later, beating myself up to start liking the Jedi story. 5- 5 hours in, delete Jedi Knight, create a Jedi Consular. 6- 1 hour playing the consular, "I give up". Jedi s are a bunch of babies in this game. 7- Try the dark force, Sith inquisitor, bah not my style. 8- Let me go with a bounty hunter..... 9- 5 days in.... so far, so ok 10- 7 days in.... man im lvl 17 and it feels like im still in starting zone, same quest, same NPCs, 11- bored outta my brains 12- post this thread 13- cancel subscription.... this game can not be subscription based.... ps: this was my first experience with a mmo

TradewindNQ
You actually didn't play the game at all.
WowWasBetter
Be more specific if you want to see the game not suck. What was wrong with the jedi and sith? When you say "same quests, same npcs" are you saying there isn't enough variety in the questing/ voice acting? If you can be specific things might be able to improve. Zgabu
Sorry to hear that MMOs are not for you. Have fun gaming whichever style you prefer. And out of curiosity, what style of PC gaming do you prefer? Edited January 16, 2012 by Zgabu
AtotheG
You actually didn't play the game at all. the little I play gave me nothing to look forward to. I play call of duty, gears of war, halo, all this series and they keep you in the edge of your seat while you "quest", I understand this is a mmo, but there was no emotion or action, which is what we expect from SW. When I created my avatar (toon, character w.e its called) I was thinking to myself "I'm going to listen to every single dialog and pay close attention to detail, but after a while I was in 4 different stories not connected to each other, talking to NPCs that almost look the same, telling me to do almost the same thing on every story..... Sounds to me that this kind of game just isn't something you like. Nothing wrong with that. I don't like Call of Duty, Gears of War or Halo. (and I'm in the freakin' army). I'm not much of a PC guy, I use my laptop for school only, I'M a freshman at FSU, so I have little time to Game, when I can me and my roommates enjoy 360 games like halo, CoDs, GoW, BF , racing RpGs and whatnot

Zgabu
FPS's are a lot different than MMOs. Sorry this game couldn't turn you.

Stick with those games. An MMO is a long term investment and takes a long time to master (unless you're a hardcorelol)

Landara
Then this game isn't for you. Action, adventure, a jedi craves not these things. You're kidding right? Action and Adventure are the only 2 valid reasons to log into any game. And this game is sadly deficient in both.
DevonLoy
But wait.... Your problem isn't with this game, it's with the genre.
