Biometric Crystal Alloy

Is there a way to get this item outside of PVE? I don't play this game to raid. I prefer PVP. I heard that you can only get these from Hard mode flashpoints and Operations, and was very disappointed. It'd be nice if there were some other way to get these items so that people who spend their time pvping and gearing for pvp can also utilize their crew skills to craft and use the highest trainable items.

Do crafting mats drop from PvP? No. Are schematics a reward for PvP? No. Can you get the alloys needed from Champion bags or dailies? No.

We have known for a long time that schematics, and other crafting materials would drop from raids and other PvE encounters, this should not be anything new. If you want to be a master crafter, you will need to raid to get those schematics (A good majority are BoP items though, so they are not worth having).

Unless it has been changed, this is how WoW works as well. You do not get crafting recipes from Arenas or Battlegrounds, and you need to get them from other means.

This is done on purpose, if you want to get the materials needed, you have to experience more of the game. You may not like it, but that is how it is designed. Some alloys do not even drop until hard/nightmare Soa, and they are all BoP. That means you either start raiding/PuG or face the fact that you will not be able to get everything just from playing one aspect of the game.

The same argument holds true for those that only want to solo content. You will get to a certain point that you need to go out of your comfort zone if you want X, Y, Z. That means playing parts of the game you may not enjoy to get what is required.

If you only want to PvP, there is nothing wrong with that. You do have to remember though that you will not be able to get everything you want. Now if you raid, pvp, craft, and do everything that you can, you will get the most out of this game and you will be rewarding for it.

Once a day.

with 4 people rolling need on it.

And you usually need multiple to make the item/items you want.

Run it with your guild and ask them if they don't mind letting you get one. My guild does 2-3 HMs per day the rest is PvP exclusively. We switch off on who gets an alloy, its not that hard.

And my guild is a small guild, and only 1 other level 50.

I don't understand why well over a month after release we can't all have free full spectrum rakata biochems, reusable rockets, bottomless bags, and flying mounts. Make it happen, BW, or we're all unsubbing tomorrow.

Well you do have until the 20th ;)

It has almost been a month, anyone who is not 50 by now must really be taking their time or not skipping through the cut-scenes (Non-class story of course). It takes about 5-6 days played to get to 50, any longer and you are really milking the story or making alts.

I used to agree until I realized BT HM is piss-easy and so is ninjaing. I have never ninja'd in my 4years of wow but **** this lol. When they make an item only obtainable by PvE and it's BoP and it's needed to craft my permanent consumables, I dont give a ****. I just made a BT HM group 3 days in a row and got 3 crystal alloys. Hated by half the server? Yes. Ever going to PvE again? No.

anyone not rolling need on the alloy is an idiot, since every crafting proff will use it.

You can get these by doing Hard Mode BT.. 1 run literally takes like 20 minutes tops.... I got 2 of my alloys from this and one from 18 man EV.

Been running BT for it every day and lost all rolls but one against people who want it to craft horrible things :/

I wouldn't mind if I could run the foundry, but revan is horrible bugged. Last boss in Boarding party is doable but you can easily wipe and not receive loot, emperor drops something else, Ilum I don't know, but probably also drops something else and just takes too damn long.

Are you blind? I said i ninjaed it. Put master looter on when last boss is on 5% health, take the bio crystal>???>profit.

You wipe the floor against a team of 8 other human players in a 15 minute game, but fighting scripts for almost as long is somehow too much work?

Oh, no. I have to roll for an item which means I might not get it... /sigh. Well, time to open my 500th champion bag.

So i misunderstood, you didnt not state how you were ninjaing so i figured the other people were idiots.

So because you're just a *******, that makes it easy to get the alloy? No.

meh if all you want to do is pvp, then you dont get any of the benefits of pve only items. Either run flashpoints/ops or just do without. IF you were a true hardcore pvp player you would have already gotten your biometrics, they are incredibly easy to get.

The crafted items are not PVE only items. Crafting is a separate part of the game that makes your character more customizable.
