socialwaif
i have read a few interviews that the devs have given with various sites regarding the Legacy system. while most of it sounds really good, there were a few comments made in regards to "added customizations during character creation." i am both curious and worried about what these may turn out to be. in all honesty, right now i am leery of rolling a new alt, only to find out later that if i had waited until the Legacy system was fully out and unlocked, that i would have had more options to choose from in creating my character. it is rare that an online game release more character creation options post-launch. i can understand this, as you dont want to have existing characters nearing max level thinking of rerolling a new toon, simply to tweak an aesthetic choice that was not present when they started playing. however, many games have released something, post-launch, that allow character appearance tweaking - like a dressing room, barber shop, or appearance/wardrobe tab - which the devs have indicated that they would like to add in at some point. some of these simple let us change how our gear looks; others let us tweak our character model itself. very very few of them are free, and i for one dont mind paying a small fee for such a change ( though i would much prefer to pay using ingame credits rather than cash). i would love it if the devs could give us more details regarding this aspect of the upcoming Legacy system, such as concrete examples. i think it would serve them well. and it is prolly easier to talk about things that dont really impact any gameplay changes, and are only appearance-based. simply put, are we talking about adding more hair, eye, etc colours that are not currently available, or are we somehow making the new characters we create after we unlock our Legacy look more alike? i really just want to know about what new flavors of Eye Candy that the Legacy system will give us.
