Argoan
From Reverse Engineering, I have learned all Armoring and Mod epic recipes (Grade 22 max). However, raid equipment already have grade 24 Mods and Armoring in them already. My question is this, how do Cybertech learn to make grade 24 Mods and Armoring? Are the schematics raid drops (All I have seen are earpiece schematic drops)? Mass reverse engineering of Grade 22 Epics (I hope not, it already cost over a million just to learn them - and then to find out they are pretty useless when people are raiding)? Something else I have overlooked? If anyone has any insight into this, post it here please. I would love to know if we can in fact make better or if 90% of our recipes become out-dated and worthless the second people start raiding. DarkenDragon
as a previous wow player, its always been the trend that raid gear is always thee best gear you can get. or raid drop schematics or schematics that require raid dropped materials. the reason being is that you have a large amount of people there, and only 2-3 items drop per boss, that means only 2-3 people will get 1 upgrade in most situations per boss. what crafting usually allows is that it'll give you the best gear you can get before you enter these high ranked level content but currently that doesnt seem to be the case, commendations seem to have filled that role thus leaving most of the crafting stuff pointless unless you level it as you level and replace your gear with that gear as you level, but this I find is very inefficient and not required. hope this helps
Argoan
I can see on TorHead that there are crafted grade 24 Armorings - http://www.torhead.com/item/aV1GcFO. There are even higher grade armorings that are supposed to be crafted. Maybe we just have to RE mods that are in the raid gear to learn it or it's an ultra rare drop or something? I know it is possible to make raid level Mods and Armoring, the schematics are there. I just don't know how to get them. Argoan
Torhead is not the final authority of what is or isn't or will or won't be available to players. I understand that, but the fact remains that the schematic is there, along with mats needed to craft it. Isn't that a good sign that it is actually in the game somewhere? The final authority (Being Bioware) is rather quiet on the whole Crafting front, so who are we supposed to go to?

The data is from beta. rank 22 purple mods are the highest currently that is craftable.
