Dustranamus
My question to Bioware is why they thought making easily accessible PVP gear far superior than T1 or even T2 gear that takes twice the amount of time to acquire? Seriously they need to remove aim/accuracy from PvP so they can also remove it from the gear. People who grind warzones all day easily out gear me trying to acquire my Tionese commendations slowwwwwlly through the daily system. I just don't get why they messed this up so badly why even bother doing any hard modes other than the biometric crystal alloy drops off the last boss? Will this be looked into? Blakefay
You realize you can run HMs and pug normal mode raids to get straight up tier gear right? its really about the same difficulty to gear up.
Dustranamus
How is it the same difficulty? Champion set i have gotten 5 pieces in 4 days. Tionese 1, Columi 1.

Dustranamus
Well to be able to do something you should have to go through the steps for that particular area of the game IMO. If they don't feel there should be a gap in PVE between the PVE Gear in PVP gear then why even bother with PVE Gear at all same stats or better with a added bonus of expertise.. PvP gear isn't missing any essential PvE stat and does more damage to players, how is it balanced?

NasherUK
PVP gear isn't better, it has stat allowance put in to expertise which is useless in pve. Also the set bonuses only work in pvp.

fuseku
PvP T2 is easier to get than PvE T1 PvP T2 > PvE T1 Why bother with PvE T1 (HMs) and to the guy that asked if they only do PvE for gear? yeah... i've done 4 of the HMs and they were the exact same as when i did them at low level (excl. esseles) so what else would i be doing it for *edit: not that i was allowed to watch the new story from esseles, "skip or kick" etc etc Edited January 14, 2012 by fuseku

Dustranamus
PVP T2 Far easier to acquire... It's not even a close contest.
DarthPegleg
its not intended to be balanced, its a carrot they dangle in front of the casual players to get their money.
Jiav
Basically you do BGs until you have some champion epics, 3-4 are enough. Do normal mode raids, get some pve stuff and then do hard modes. Since normal mode is basically free loot and drops TONS of items, you will have your full set in about 2 ids. Do hard modes and you pretty much are in full pve epics in a month. Awesome progress. Dustranamus
Why is grinding warzones an acceptable stepping stone to hard mode raiding? That just seems wrong.

Dustranamus
thing is theres no grind......you grab your daily, do it in less then 5 min and get a bag with random phat loot. Lol yeah, if you are lucky. A guildy of mine hit 50 and was completely champion geared in under 5 days with the luck of the draw. I just can't see how this is working as intended. I just can't see how this is working as intended. it's not working as intended, clearly.. if this was an approved gearing system from Bioware then it's a clear indication to jump off ship before you invest any more time/money into it. It would be a horrible decision! imo this is a placeholder, the game is rushed in many aspects but this is the one that i have stumbled upon with my playstyle, and by the looks of it others too just look at mercenary commendations, they're a joke you can't even obtain them in the game (bar some long spawning chests) it's an incomplete system, and again, a 3:1 conversion as the only way to get them is horrible and if it was a concious decision then again.. run from this game Edited January 14, 2012 by fuseku

Veluthurk
This problem is starting to sound like that "other" game's gear issue. All that's left is for BW to change up some gear stats to further separate PvE and PvP. Then we will end up with complaint threads asking why the 'bads' are wearing PvP gear in PvE raiding...or how 'easy' it is to get the other guy's gear where your gear is so hard. rofl Deja vu. Dustranamus
expectations for an MMO to have a reasonable difference between PVE and PVP content geared players? That "other game" I know what you are referring to but there are many MMO's who have got the PVE/PVP gear right. Not just that "other game"

But by all means pve in your pvp gear if you insist. Edited January 14, 2012 by Shammus
