Haristo Posted January 14, 2012 Share Posted January 14, 2012 Besides the fact that I almost play Huttball thanks to the lack of 'Pubs on my server, I think this game should have more same faction Warzones. I mean yeah, besides the fact that I have a Huttball overdose, it is a good idea storywise and gameplay wise. it makes queues shorter. if there's two Imp team ready but no 'Pubs to compete with them, well these two can fight each other. and considering we're in a COLD WAR agains't each other, it is normal to send our good men licking some Hutt or some Cartel or crime lords butts to support our war effort. exactly Huttball's Setting. I've played RIFT, and the very first Warzone you can do, Fang of Regulos, was by far my favourite of the 4. considering my actual experience of SWTOR, I think this game mode could fit. it is simple : there's one flag in the middle of a small map, which gives points. your team must capture it the longest as possible, to reach the required amount of points to win. however the flag hurts you, the damage intensifies themselves and it'll kill its carrier after a certain moment. making this type of game always in movement. one of the issues I've seen in SWTOR is that peoples in my server (and my faction) doesn't seem to give a crap about complicated strategies and tactics. they just want to jump on the enemy and wipe his butt. while something like Voidstar allows it quite a bit (it only requires 2 peoples AoEing the doors to properly defend the zone while the rest push back the attackers), Alderaan does not. when you have two cannons, you must keep them and defend them but everybody rushes on the third one (by default the middle) in order to have a good fight, then the enemy pushes on a side canon and bam, you just losed the game because no one cares. that trophy system DOESN'T HELP AT ALL. and I'm not talking about Huttball which is much more a ''who has the best Knockback'' than everything else. Martyrdom is friendly with the actual trophy system, with the players' envy to fight in the middle of the map 'till death, allowing interresting and epic North VS South PvP battles. it also requires only a few players and no strategy at all to win/lose the game. a very small map, a simple premice and surely a great Warzone for 8vs8 battles. so, to recap. 1. it allows players to simply kill each other. 2. it's a very small and easy to make map. only requires 2 spawn zone and a flag spawn. the rest is plain. 3. it can have any kind of premice that would allow same faction PvP 4. it's Trophies friendly and that is why Martyrdom should be IMO part of Star Wars the Old Republic. thanks for reading Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Not a bad idea at all. Edit: Oh and they have said that more same faction warzones (or at least one) are in the works already I believe.
