Next you'll be asking people that use MMO peripherals be banned. Ohh no some guy has every single ability keybound to his mouse UNFAIR!!! If you find Expertise is so OP then go get some rediculously easy to aquire gear from the trainwreck that is SWTORs PvP gear distribution.

So the next time your PvP'ing and using your keyboard to turn or clicking your skills off the bar think again about crying about a stat that precludes you from being anything more than a speed bump to people who put in the time and effort to aquire the appropriate gear for PvP.

After over 600 Warzones I can honestly say that when I pwn someone it's definately not because of the expertise stat. Call it skill, situational awareness and proper cooldown timing. What this game needs for PvP is another bracket for bads and cry babies. And like the warning says on the box "Game Experience May Change During Online Play" so get over it!

How can u spend so much money on a game and violate every single premise of bad PvP set before you.

1) No Dr- Any game without DR sucks dick enough said.

2)Overwhelming CC- Death of WoW arenas= overwhelming CC with 1-2 CC breakers

3) Buffing underleveled players and including them in the same WZ- has it every worked? Nope

4)Welfare gear- As it ever worked? Nope

5)Ilum- Did u ever see Wintergrasp- It failed and there were actual objectives to the game, so you throw Ilum into the game that has abs no objectives and expect it 2 work??

It really is sad when u think about it

The thing is: What is your definition of "work"?

WoW, the game you are referring to obviously, "works" for the company that is producing it.

There probably are many other definitions of "working", of course - but your answers can definitely be answered with a "Yes" depending on view.

Even if that leaves oneself with a bitter taste in the mouth.

Appeal to the masses beats everything else, unfortunately. But that's the way it works.

Bloodline Champions is the prime example for it. It is a great game imho and I spent the majority of my gaming time in 2011 with it.

It featured superb gameplay and there were no stats and no grind - but was it balanced?

No, because it featured a still growing number of different classes of different archetypes (close to 30 atm)!

Then everything of the "balanced and no grind required"-philosophy (they used it in their trailers and front page as main feature) went out of the window.

They implemented char progression and a huuuge grind to get to a competitive level statwise.

"Why?" You might ask.

They had a rapidly declining playerbase despite of a superb gameplay. It grew old fast and people left, thus the grind.

If you want perfect balance - go play Quake. It is still played - virtually unchanged - for over a decade...with a playerbase of maybe a thousand...

THAT is an e-sport game, totally balanced, but they kicked it from the major e-sport events because people do not enjoy competitive games anymore.

The notable exception being SC2 and CS 1.6. There doesn't seem to be more room for others.

Edit: typos

Edit2: You could demand to change the gameplay to suit your personal playstyle of course, at least you do, but you seem to be oblivious to the fact, that your taste does not necessarily have to align with the majority's.

If they follow your demands, others will arise and voice their complaints, probably opposite to yours.

The solution is to find a lowest denominator. That's what devs try to do. And this is why Bloodline Champion's original concept was dismissed. It is the reason for WoW's success.

This is an mmorpg - the first 'm' standing for massive - it doesn't succeed by catering to minorities, be it yours or mine - it has to appeal to the masses to succeed.

On a side note - I am looking forward to the release of GW2. Because so many people on every other game's pvp forums (e.g. BLC, WoW, SW:TOR) tend to think it will be the pinnacle of pvp.

What game will they use on GW2's forum to complain...?

Edit3: There is a dr on cc in the game, if that's what you are referring to (on stats, too, but you probably don't mean that). Resolve actually does work in my opinion. I guess it's more of a murphy's law thing (i.e. You get stunlocked to death opposed to the enemy ball carrier always is cc immune when he's near your goal line).

so many idiots in this thread, combat in an FPS isn't the same as combat in an MMO. "Go to an FPS" doesn't solve anything. Being an MMO with supported PvP and being a game with gear progression are not one in the same.
