DarthCuddly
If your here to flame move on. This is for customer service. Thanks The first reason why I am no longer playing this game is because my 2011 ASUS laptop with a 9600 gets FPS lag due to Fog and weather effects that I am unable to turn off. This in turn causes casting and ability lag. That leads to my second reason. I cast a heal and it goes off on my screen but the person still dies. That tells me that what is happening on my screen is not what is happening on the server. Or I cast a heal and it gets all the way to .0000005 seconds and then it starts casting again without healing anything. My internet connection is 15 Mbytes per second. I should not have an issue with casting. These may because by the extra bits being transferred from client to server from the ability queue. To me this is dumb. I turned it off by putting it to 0.0 but it still acts the exact same. If I click while the global cool down is on then just give me an error or something. I just have never played a game with a queue. Jumping and moving sometimes will not even cancel. I go to click on a heal after I see the 1 second global cool down go away and click but nothing happens. I have to wait an addition second. These cause my game play in PvP and PvE to be annoying. I do not play a game after work to become annoyed. I may be back since what I have played so far is somewhat fun when everything works. I think I would be able to play if I had to ability to turn down or off more effects. Thank you. Edited January 11, 2012 by DarthCuddly

dynamostia
The graphics engine in this game is in need of optimisation. When I hit alderan I had an awful time with poor performance; many of the issues have been alleviated by not being in that area and didnt seem resolved by reducing the graphics settings. One area that would help all these people with performance issues requires greater options on gfx settings. Draw distances, etc.. Im running a q6600 and an 8800gt with 3 gig of ram and I should be able to run the game with no issues but I do encounter them. That said, I am patient and while some elements of the game are frustrating at the moment if it came to the point where it was unplayable I would un sub too. Best advice if you cant find a positive fix is to unsub and try again in future when they have had time to resolve and improve these issues. Its still a great game.. probably why we are sticking with it warts and all.

XDrcaul
Should have created a ticket and sent an official support request instead of posting a thread, were you know your going to get flamed.
Keta
I've played on a several year old Asus laptop without a single problem once I turned shadows off. Oh and just because no one else has said it yet ... "Can I have your stuff?" good luck.
Jacen_Starsolo
What model ASUS? And just to maybe let you know something, ASUS laptops have been known to get lag issues because of heat. I would suggest if you haven't tried already to get HWMonitor and try to play until you get lag. Then HWMonitor will show what your video temps high and low. Then report what you get. I have a family member with an Asus and had to get a laptop cooler and blow out all the dust. And it was happening in more than just this game too. His temps were very high and he said when he searched for answers that others reported Asus laptops doing this. HWMonitor is free and easily found by searching. Also try playing other MMO's on your laptop and say which ones and if they lag or not. Edited January 11, 2012 by Jacen_Starsolo

Clearly Bioware's fault... right?

Jabatheruss
It is home to trolls. They realized that all posters in customer service are already upset, so lets go poke them some more. Pathetic.
DarthCuddly
This all said.. post dxdiag.. update your drivers etc.. I am a Support Technician and have done all those things. I do not want help fixing an issue that I know my computer can not handle. Once I upgrade to an Alienware laptop then I may come back to play. The main issue is fog and weather effects. Fog being the major one. Until that can be turned off then my system will lag in those areas. Which happens to be a lot of areas. Like I said this is not for help this is a message for Bioware's customer service. l2r please
