LazeRender Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 When marking targets, are the companion's behaviors affected? Do target markers have any actual significance? Example: If I mark a target with a gold star, because I want it CC'd, is the companion programmed to avoid it, or burn it, or is it not affected?
lithruin Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I'm pretty new to swtor so I have no idea if companions take notice of target marks, normally though in other mmo's they get used in groups so the leader can quickly assign tasks etc.
Buckmoth Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Target marks have no effect on companion behavior (nor, in many cases, on groupmate behavior...). Companions won't attack CC'd targets, however, unless specifically directed, and will change targets if their target is CC'd (though they're not programmed to be careful with AoE attacks, and will happily break CC with them).
Zorpen Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Nope they are just for your group mates. Companions are kinda stupid, they wont for example attack cc'ed mob with their single target skill, but they often use some aoe skill on other mob just to "wake" cc'ed one :/
