Killertree Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 I have a Macbook Air and was thinking of just downloading the free beta of Windows 8 instead of buying Windows 7.
Marmerus Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 You probably can. Question is if you can play games on Macbook air, the specs is that of a washing machine.
carthedani Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 (edited) I'm sure it will work. Edited January 10, 2012 by carthedani

I doubt you would get anywhere close to smooth FPS since nobody on youtube has ever managed to do that with a macbook air with any decent game released 2011. Just look at this video or even better TRY it yourself. It can't even run SC2 on low settings smooth!

I know my Air ran WoW at max settings fine.
yogarth Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 i have have mini and run this game on bootcamp. little laggy though
Brutus Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Why would you want to play any game in a beta version of an OS? IMO, just having the confirmation of support would be enough reason to buy Win7.
shotif Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 I'm running TOR on Windows 8 without issues, but on a regular PC, so I can't tell if it'll run on an Air
Hvidhajen Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Whos stupid enough to install windows 8 for gaming purposes >.> (Atleast install it on a vmware)

Jett-Rinn Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 I run win 8 exclusively even in beta it is a hell of a lot better than 7 All my games all my apps all my programs zero problems.
