Champion Bags so annoying.

Hello there.

I have been PvP'ing and I have had no luck with the Champion bags.

I have gotten 60 Champion Bags and only two of those has given me any Champion Gear.

I know Bioware is trying to do something different here. But rewarding people for their "Luck" is not the way to go when they have been working hard for it. I am annoyed that people with lesser rank and have been PvP'ing less then me are going fully dressed in their Champion set, while people like me with no luck, gets stuck with a lower Tier armor.

So please Bioware, we should be rewarded for our hard work and not work hard and hope to be lucky.

Y U NO MAKE SENSE?

TLDR:

Reward hard work in PvP. Out with the lucky draw system.

Rewarded for what hard work? you mean the 10 min you need to spend on ilum watching other ppl shot turrets and for that you get 4 bags? stop complaining and be happy about the free credits you get. PVP is so broken in this game so free reward is the last you should complain about.

Read slowly and few times:

Champion is Tier 2 PVP gear. You are not supposed to have it guaranteed, but you will get it eventually.

Centurion is Tier 1 PVP gear. You are guaranteed to have it after some time period, the more you pvp the faster you will get it.

Battlemaster is Tier 3 and same deal as Champion.

To sum it up:

Centurion gear from tokens is the only thing you are guaranteed to get, rest is a bonus you will get given enough time and luck.

And now, DEAL WITH IT.

I've only opened 15 bags. I had a streak of 10 with no gear, then 3 tokens in the last 4 bags. I feel like we're fighting RNG more than other players.

Exactly.

And if your lucky enough to get a Champion piece, it might be something you already have. Someone is gonna suggest give it to companion. Then I am gonna say go smoke your socks, how is gearing my companions gonna help me in PvP?

Clearly this person has gotten his champion gear.

And what about the rest of the day after Ilum?

That would be fine if the prices for for gear was reflected well in terms of how much currency you earn. You can earn what 9 battlemaster chests a week at 3 comms a piece if the RNG doesn't give you a piece that's 27 comms. So about 4 weeks to get your T2 primary weapon. That seems a bit unreasonable for a single piece of gear. Even the centurion price for gear that is truely awful is between 12 bags and 24 bags per piece. If you win every game with about 7 medals you can expect around 100 tokens so it takes 8 wins per bag so 96 wins for gloves and 192 wins for a centurion weapon. by the same token you will gain about 1000 valor a win so to get a weapon you will earn 192000 valor. Can you see the problem here

Luck should never be the sole determent factor in gear gain, effort and time spent should be where you receive your rewards.

28 Battlemaster boxes opened, 1 Relic. Rest commendations. Every other Imperial BM on our server has a minimum of 3-4 pieces and one of them is 3/4 opened right now. Brilliant system.

Ive given up pvp till the patch, sitting at rank 65 with no Battlemaster gear other than the Earpiece and Implants I can guy with coms.

I'll admit the system doesn't work that well. I don't really know anyone using the Centurion stuff because of how many commendations you need. By the time you got a full set of Centurion gear you would likely have a couple of sets of Champion already. They need to have Centurion bags that can be opened without a valor req which drop centurion commendations and possibly Centurion gear pieces, Champion bags should require rank 30+ valor to open and drop champion commendations and pieces etc. That makes much more sense imo and means people would actually use the Tier 1 PvP gear instead of jumping straight into Tier 2.
