Shanerion
What if switching specs had a long cooldown? People who are against Dual Spec seem to be very much against the idea of switching back and forth willy nilly, say between every boss fight. What if it was on a 3 hour cooldown. Long enough to choose your spec for the duration of a Raid Night, but short enough to be able to queue up for some Warzones in your PvP spec afterwards? To me this sounds like a reasonable compromise.

Schnerf
Dual specs are already confirmed addition for the future, nobody really cares about people that don't support them, because they never have anything but "immersion" as their argument, which is as pointless as they come. They're not confirmed. The first really good post about them was something like "They'd like to add them soon after launch", and then later there was a nother statement that backtracked slightly. I would say that's very very far from confirmed. And I'm very worried about putting lots of time into this game if Dual Spec isn't coming to this game. And I don't mean 6 months from now. Actually the first thing they said the wanted to add it Soon aswell as saying that they wanted aswell doing all Pve abilities for tanks to be good in PvP The latest we heard is from the Q/A with Reid where he said that ofcourse they talked about Dual Specc but that was all nothing else. And from this people take the assumption that Bioware promised Dual Specc Bioware havent said that Dual Specc will be or will not not be implemented into the game. Wish soon and talked doesnt mean it will

They are actually far from confirmed. If you read redit at all you would know this. Stephen Reid- "I want a player who is comfortable with their class to be able to play around with different builds. But at the same time I don't want players to be switching builds in the middle of combat or in between defeats in a warzone. If the cost of respec becomes to much of a deterrence we will work on lowering the cost." Every word is not exact cause I couldn't find the post but that is what his 2 cents were on dual specs. BUT he has stated recently. Q: do you think that alternative specs will be allowed at some stage in the future? Also, legacy system, any further insight you are willing to share with us at this point in time? Stephen Reid- Dual specs could well come at some point in the future - it's been discussed for sure. Legacy System... will be cool? . So it neither confirmed or denied on if this will happen or not. Right now tho most people will be happy with the lowered cost of respecing. It will allow for the tweaking of different builds with out having a deterrence of doing so. The major reason why people have an outcry thus far about respecs is the fact of the cost is more than you generally make in a day and people don't wanna farm to play the game. If farming to play the game is what we are all into we would just go play EVE online.
nix_crash
so... why they dont give us the option to fully spec and play as our companions when our main pg isnt suited for the task?we already are investing in equipping them, just let us play as them at least for group pve content. Dual specs are not warranted in this game and are not needed by anyone other than FTOM wow-bies.

Englefield
I just want to be able to level normally and heal in warzones inbetween... Then level as a healer. That's what I'm doing and really enjoying it, teaching me how to best use my healing spec along the way.

Too bad that, as has been seen time and again, most people have trouble mastering more then 1 role and end up being average in them...

I'm sorry man. Maybe you have some kind of ultra fortitude, but to normal people leveling as a healer is painful. And for 15 dollars a month we should be able to solo how we want and group how we want. It doesn't hurt anybody. The person who uses it gains, the people who don't use it gain cause now you have a healer/tank where you once had a DPS. So everyone gains and no one loses. I don't see the problem.
