Bosefus_
I am looking for one specific item so I can construct some colored crystals. What I need is a Pristine Yellow Crystal (I think, can't remember exactly), which is a grade 4 gemstone. It seems like my companions are bringing me back every grade 4 gemstone EXCEPT the one I need. I have hundreds of everything else. It is costing me a fortune, and I doubt I could possibly make my money back now. Anyway, I was wondering if there was any way to know ahead of time what specific item I will be getting from a mission. Thanks in advance for anyone who can save me this headache. Half-Deranged
I am looking for one specific item so I can construct some colored crystals. What I need is a Pristine Yellow Crystal (I think, can't remember exactly), which is a grade 4 gemstone. Hey there. As far as I know, the crew skill mission descriptions are fairly accurate: In Archaeology you can only get green-quality materials. Color crystal missions yield a random mix of red, green, and/or blue color gemstones (used for making saber/blaster color crystals);Power Crystal missions yield the colourless gems (used for making all sorts of artifice and synthweaving items). Then you have Treasure Hunting, which is the crew skill that produces blue (and better) quality materials. Gemstone missions yield a random mix of yellow color gemstones (used for making yellow saber/blaster color crystals), and blue-quality colourless gems (which are needed for all other blue-quality artifice recipes). Critical success on these missions, when it happens, also grants purple-quality colourless gems (which are necessary for purple-quality artifice recipes). With that in mind, you will want to run Grade 4 Treasure Hunting "gemstone" missions for your specific yellow gems. If all else fails, you can always check the Galactic Trade Network (auction house) for those same yellow gems, under "Crafting Materials" > "Treasure Hunting". Hope this helps!
