Quests that require one ot click 3 things that spawn at very low frequencies, so as that 20+people are running around the same area for 20 minutes looking for,and ninja-ing quest spawn items is poor design. Nobody wants to get stuck on a qust forever becaus other poeple jsut happen to be doing the same quest.

You must be new to MMOs. You get this sometimes. The devs usually try to "tune" the spawn rate to the frequency of players dropping by, but it sometimes takes a while for spawn timing to settle down, especially when the MMO is new.

Having said that, I've only noticed it happen to me occasionally when the server's busy. Happened quite a bit on Coruscant and Nar Shadda a couple of weeks ago to me, but not much since then (but then again as you go higher level there's obviously less population).

Bottom line: yes, it's something that can be a problem in MMOs, but it's vanishingly unlikely that the devs aren't monitoring the situation and ready to tweak it if it gets too bad.

20 minutes does not = forever.

Waiting for a little bit is hard i know, but eventually you will get used to the concept as you get older in life.

in this game the respawn of those clickable items are fast enough

if u ever played other MMOs ull see that this is the best so far

The only time I kind of take issue is that when grouped it cannot be applied to each player. Only came across this once in a heroic towards the end of Nar Shadda, and really it was a minor inconvenience at the end of the day, but I feel it would have been a befitting to not have the group have to wait single-file for each person to click on said item as it re-spawned.

I've found I've been able to click the item to start opening/collecting/etc it while a party member is already doing so, and, if timed right, will let them collect their quest item while mine is still in progress, then reset and allow me to get mine.

Doesn't happen all the time (if the item despawns) but haven't had any issues lately (other than Wounded Republic Soldiers which were all single treatment only).

I think Blizzard actually overdid their spawnrates a couple of years ago. I'd kill a mob only to have another one INSTANTLY spawn right where it used to be. Seems to have gotten better, but at the time I was using lots of cooldowns just to catch a breather.

WoW's spawn rates are based on the number of people in the area so they are quicker when they are more people around. Sometimes too quick ;)

Yep. This game is waaaay better the other MMOs in this regard. I've only come across a handful of cases where I have had to wait, and that is almost always a named boss on a bonus quest. 5 minutes is the longest I have had to wait though. And if there are several of us waiting.... WE GROUP UP....kill the target, degroup and go our separate ways.

oh sorry, i love it.

love to see other people, love to see how they act and how they are.

imagine, if there would be noone to see, noone to get angry about, no disturbance of the force ... wouldnt it be totally boring ?

There are some that are beyond ridiculous. I believe it is on Voss where you have to click on 2 doors on a ship to blow them up and after they've been clicked it takes 5 to 10 minutes for it to become clickable for anyone else again. Discovered this as me and someone else each clicked on one of the doors separately and then had to wait the ~10 minutes or something for the doors to be clickable again. And it's for no reason. There's no grand plan why it is so, nothing changes when you click it, it just goes from "glowing" to "not glowing" and that's it.

Whole-heartedly agree. This was one of the first things wrong with the game that I noticed when I got into beta, and I brought it up SEVERAL times.

Quest objects need to be shared/sharable with other people in the area on the same quest. Additionally, Quest mobs need to be shareable as well. Either that, or drastically reduce the respawn time on several quest objects and quest mobs.

This is something that Rift did really well. If there's a quest mob you need to kill, but someone else already tagged it, as long as you do some damage to it you get credit. The loot, of course, goes to the first person to tag it.

I had a tough one on Tatooine. Big deal. It actually reminded me of why I'm here.

MMORPG's do not ever ship complete. Out of the gate, its fine.
