Chancimus
:| What the force are they? I hear people talking about they're in weird places, getting groups for them, and i just read a guide that says to get them. Wut? I'm at a total loss, aside from hearing about it, no clue what it does, where to find them, or whats the deal with them. Any ... anything would be useful on them. (Even if its redirected to another thread) Thanks in advance
blindxsecrets
There are several datacrons on each planet. The starter zones generally have 3 while the others have more. They are usually in hard to reach places. They give off a sort of bright glow so they can be fairly easy to spot in most cases. They basically give you...say...one datacron says +2 Endurance (they can go up to +10 I believe). Which means when you collect it, it gives you +2 Endurance permanently. While most give stat increases, there are some that say "Red Matrix Shards" etc. Not entirely sure what those do yet, but I know you can assemble several of them into a Matrix Cube. BTW You also get a codex entry for each datacron. Hope that helps.
blindxsecrets
Grr edit doesn't seem to be working. Everytime I try, my entire post goes blank. So I apologize for the double post. But this is basically what a datacron looks like (yay for google) here
Chancimus
Dont worry, its not blank at all. And i'm gonna check tha tlink out to see what they are. I think i might have stumbled onto a green shard, now that you mention it, i just shrugged and kept going (it was like 3am i was trying to bangout that last quest) I'm gonna check my codex for it now, see if i can figure out what that thing it'll turn into does. Is there a cap for how much they are? like you said 10max, so if i get some aim, does that take away from how many i can get for endurance or?... blindxsecrets
Don't quote me on this but I think you can assemble the shards into a cube that makes some sort of equipment. I think the cubes go in your characters Relic slots. I was reading up a while back and that seems right to me...but I haven't gotten that far yet so I can't say for sure! Amdramnar
Even if they give you +30, you will notice that by the time you are L50, this will be somewhere from 5-10% boost to you primary stats. Nice but hardly game changing. It is more geared for those who like exploring, achievments, and pokemon (must collect them all) mentality. Unless you are a min-max kinda person, you will probably not notice the difference unless high end raiding. As far as the shards, combinations of three shards makes something at someplace. That is all I know.
