Samborino
Or at least take them with a grain of salt. Id say in regards to all the people playing the game, its quite a minority that actually use the forums. Most people are actually playing the game and enjoying it, but if you base the populations perception of the game off of these forums, then this game seems like a piece of trash. Not to mention all the nitpicking that happens can really suck you in and make you hate the game from all the mistakes and bugs and problems that get pointed out. If your are reading these forums and you havent picked up the game and are planning on playing it, just dont. Go watch a review from IGN or Gamespot but dont read these forums thinking youll get an honest or reasonable oppinion from fans of the game. Most of the people (the ones who complain about everything) are horrible little trolls , who really just wanted wow in space (they wanted the game to be as polished as a game that has technically been in development for 11 years bascially) You go to the forums of any mmo (especially new ones or wow) and its the same thing, its just full of people complaining or announcing that "thats it this is my last straw im quitting" etc. Sometimes all this negative attitude can cause a mass exodus as people who generally enjoyed the game start realizing all the things that are wrong with it that didnt bug them before. So if you enjoy the game ignore the forums and go back and start or continue playing your epic star wars trilogy. I for one think this has been one of the smoothest mmo launches i havent noticed too many bugs and even the ones i have their are common sense ways to work around them and none of them have been game breaking. Not to mention the pure amount of content this game shipped with , between the voice acting and the epic 3 chapter class storylines i wouldnt have it any other way. If you didnt come to this game for the bioware storyline , then it may not be the right game for you, but give it a try either way and try to get sucked into the epic star wars trilogy that entails! Tiaa
I agree. If you didn't come for the story this game isn't for you. However, if you came for tons of bugs, broken content, paid months in advance, and have no other game to play then you are right at home.

I dont agree, im not 50 yet (im 43) but i havent noticed a single bug or broken content that has stopped me from playing the game , not once. not to mention ive lvled a sith inquisitor to lvl 20, and a bounty hunter to lvl 20 during the last beta event and i didnt notice any game breaking bugs either. If you did get one you were probably unlucky, or logged off during the middle of a story quest (thats acutally the only time ive noticed bugs, and ill i had to do was reset the quest, not game breaking) Edited January 8, 2012 by Samborino
TexWyngarde
Truth, spoken above. I've been a participant in MMO and their forums for over a decade, and I have to say, without a doubt, this forum is the Mos Eisley Spaceport of MMO forums. There are plenty of good folks here, but the level of toxicity and contempt for this beautiful game is just overwhelming. Bugs? Sure. Things need a little tweaking, sure. But nothing ... I mean NOTHING deserving of the level of hate and vitriol spewed forth here.

Deadcake
Agree 100%. From past experience, I can say the trolls and haters can slowly poison your perception of a game. Forget that this game has a forum feature and suddenly your enjoyment factor rises.

RealaY
The game is awesome. Yes, I've noticed some issues, but it's nothing that won't be fixed in the future.

Drakinor
OP you are 100% right. Sadly most of the minority on the forums are the trolls or crybabies that are NEVER satisfied lol. Saw it in WoW, RIFT, EVE, LOTRO, DDO, and others before these.
Yescek
Or at least take them with a grain of salt. [Clipped for brevity] Thanks Quoted for emphasis. This guy is bang on the money. The loud-mouthed little *********** here on the forums nearly never log in. We KNOW this, because if you log in for longer than five seconds you'll find out they're about 80% wrong. Granted, I DO believe that there are issues that NEED to be addressed. Ability Delay, a LITTLE bit of class balance, and certain armors for certain classes being reversed (*cough*MarauderRobes*cough*). However, if you take the ten minutes required to read over the patch notes you'll see that most of it is slowly being addressed. I for one actually feel GOOD about the fact that there's a whole PLETHORA of stuff being fixed that I didn't even know was broken in the first place. Cause now it's like, well cool, now I KNOW I won't have that issue (Cross fingers!!!). The OP is also right about people expecting perfection out of a FIRST VERSION. You can NOT base your opinion of a game that hasn't even been out ONE month on your opinion of a game that's been out for NINETY-SIX times as long. I pray the trolls read this. I really do. Even though there's no reaching any of them, I still hope they troll this thread and post. It means they KNOW we're right and they're trying to beat it down. Yvin
Greetings! We ask that threads made in General Discussion center on Star Wars™: The Old Republic™. Since this thread focuses on the community and not the game, we're closing it for being off-topic. Thanks for understanding!
