Why did Bioware restrict PVP on world map untill Level 24

I think i might have found the underlining problem that i have with this game and why it doesn't feel alive. I have heard people saying that the games atmosphere is lacking, or that there's not enough people in each of the cities, or the people in the cities don't feel alive, or that the design of the cities and surrounding are not detailed enough. I don't agree with those statements and feel that the worlds and cities are fine and alive. There not shock and awe or anything but they do at least meet most standards.

What i feel is the issue, was the trouble Bioware went to divide the two factions in this game. You really do not see any of the opposing faction until you arrive on Tatioone. For both factions that's right around Level 24. I am on a PvP server and did so with a purpose to interact with the opposing faction throughout my leveling experience within the game. Like i said you don't meet anyone of the opposing faction until level 24.

But it doesn't end there, there are maps that both factions visit for example Taris. A huge map that has quests for about 6 levels. However even though both factions visit this planet, Bioware has made it so neither of the factions interact. Actually what they did is made the map for republic level 20-24 and imperial level 34-38. Its the same exact map in design but completely different with respect to the level of creatures, therefore isolating any possibility for either factions interactions.

Speaking on Tatioone it gets even worse when you figure out that the two starting areas on that world are not able to be raided. An Example is if i am a sith and wanting to raid the city of anchorhead which is the starting area for the republic and the biggest city on the map, I can't. It situated so that if i try to travel to it, i cross an exhaustion zone.

So this leaves very little room to PvP. I really don't know how it is on the other planets but know that there are other planets that fall in the same category as Taris higher levels up where each faction go there at different levels. So besides Ilum which is a whole map dedicated to PvP and Raids and Warzone there very little to no places to battle.

This is sad and a flaw that unless fixed, might be my decision to cut my losses. I mean in Star Wars where there these forbidden zones that sith and jedi never battled out. Like Darth Vader saying "Well Luke is in Anchorhead so we can't send anybody there to kill him so i guess he is safe until he leaves". Its a fatal flaw and one that makes the world feel devoid of the very purpose of an MMO, the battle for good and evil or Sith and Jedi. WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Excellent post, I completely agree. I am level 40 atm on a pvp server and I have literally only ran across maybe a dozen republic open world in all the worlds I've been to combined. I would say it has to do with them having us quest on opposite sides of the map or whatever their system is. Edited by Darth-Rammstein

balmora is same. Theres lvl 20-24 Sith... and 32-36 Republicians, and they just in different phases i guess. Cant see anyone. On Tatooine i reach the imps outpost just with stealth, mind snaps, and blackout with my Shadow. But cant reach mos isla because of exhaustion areas... BUT WAY MUCH FUNNER is Alderaan there г could reach any of the imps outposts, and one of the outposts is zone where г could get by taxi, and this is imps quest zone... i have so much fun spoiling their quests there)) But then their teamed up and kicked my arse)) But that was fun as well)

so people like YOU cant go around ganking all the low levels and thinking your #1 for doing it..

I understand that, don't get me wrong there has to be a system in place to not allow that to happen or be exploited. I mean what would happen if level 50's always were ganking level 20's, the 20's would prolly quit and un sub. Obviously Bioware thought of that and did so in a manner that is so mainstream it hurts the overall feel of the game, they played it to safe to ensure success for the masses. Take the competitive edge from the game, and viola a game that is more for the casual then the hardcore.

WoW made no such concession and is doing just fine.

I can understand why on pve servers, but why bioware feels the need to restrict world pvp on pvp servers baffles me, they're essentially forfeiting potential subcribers to future MMOs with better wpvp systems.
