Bunnyboxx
Sorry to say, i am a machine that can play almost everything on ultra settings, Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Dues Ex etc to name a few, with no FPS problems at all. But this HERO ENGINE, obviously has flaws. It appears to me, that the problem will be around during the FREE month, and miraculously be fixed the day after your subscription of $15 comes out of your bank. Actually we paid $60 + to play a unplayable game, surely more testing had to be done, but i am sure EA had nothing to with a Xmas release (yeah right). So after the Patch on Jan 4th, if FPS issue is still abound in Warzones, and indoors, then my money will be used elsewhere. We will wait and see. WHO ELSE SHARES MY VIEWS? No offense but mmo's are usually more taxing on a rig than single player games or even most (note I don't say all) FPS. What's your computer's stats? Unless you're running it on yourself. You did say you're a machine. I kid I kid.

First, can the mods move this back to the general discussion where it belongs. This has nothing to do with Star Wars. Second, why does every person who claims they will quite ask "who else thinks like this" or some other equally dumb way of asking. It's like you are screaming for reassurance. "Hello... hello... anyone else need reassurance. Let's commiserate together in grief."

brandonspikes
Gtx 560 Ti, + 2500k, gets 110 FPS on max settings, 45 fps on the fleet, 100 in warzones.
Jedi-mitch
No problems for me at all no lag no fps issues nothing runs smooth loads fast... There is nothing wrong from bioware's side... Think you should check you rig over....

Mannic
Not sure what you mean.. My machine isn't anything super special but I get 70-90 frames anywhere. I'm betting you don't. Keep that ctrl+shift+F on all the time and you'll see the wonderful times when you drop to 25 FPS for no apparent reason after running at 80+. BothanFourTwenty
Kill some of those 300+ apps and processes you have running in the background. I bet you will see a fps increase then.

What's your computer's stats? Unless you're running it on yourself. You did say you're a machine. I kid I kid. That not even close to being accurate. Most fps games are far more taxing then mmo's (with the few mmos that try to push the boundaries). And of course why would they when they have to try and get and keep a good portion of the player base while as a fps game is more of look it's shiny I'll buy type of mentality. With that said.. Sounds like the op just needs to work out some stuff as it should easily be playable specially if you already got shadows turned off.
Masterdeathh
You're talking like the game has been live for months now and everything should run flawlessly for some reason? The game hasn't even been live for 2 weeks now and i see so many people complaining about how it's not perfect when it had by far the best mmo launch i have ever seen even with it's faults. Come back after 2-3 major content patches which going by biowares schedule there will be a major patch every month, if whatever "perfection" problem you have with the game still exists after the first few content patches which i can guarantee any technical problem will be by then then maybe mmos aren't for you and you along with all the other whiners can go back to WOW doing absolutely nothing but sit in trade all day. Kaercha
The difference is, MMO's are more intensive to different systems. The games you mentioned are all pretty much spiked into the GPU category, so if you have a decent videocard, you're good to go. I play at a steady 60 fps everywhere I go, questing, fleet, Fp's, warzones, etc, and I have a 9800GTX 1Gb video card I bought when it came out. (A long time ago.) MMO's in general stress your MB and CPU, along with your NIC/network hardware (router/switches/etc). I have the new sabertooth board with a 4 GHz processor, 120GB SSD, and all the usual gaming perifphereals. (I'm a Razer customer, by and large.) These aren't stock cars we've got here. Don't blame the game if you show up in a VW and everyone else has a Porche.

Jamus_Divinus
Lowest FPS I get is in Warzones (35-45). Haven't had under 35 ingame (I keep the FPS meter on all the time...habit). I get 45-95 ingame (35-50 or so in Warzones). I have no problem with my FPS rate. P.S. I have every setting maxed out. Haven't tried lowering a few as, again, 35-50 in warzones suits me fine. Sorry for your experience.

Sznur
To all saying there is no problem with fps:http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=114363 That's 4th incarnation of that thread, with thousands of post, hundreds thousands of views and developers admitting that there is a problem. Game runs on badly optimised engine causing huge problems for many people, even with powerful rigs, while looking like an average 2008 title. boothek
Actually Bioware has come out and admitted they have an issue with FPS and are working on a fix so the people complaining about a FPS issue are not imagining it.
