Give the healers some more rewards (Assassin POV)

Hello, as a Assassin player i tend to MVP the healers, in my eyes they get way to little awards for beeing healers in the warzones, i get 11-12 medals every game as a assassin doing my job correctly, a healer on the other hand is really lucky if he hits the 7 mark with extreme healing see the wrong in this? i do, so on the behalf of all healers (because let's be honest why would the healers stay healers atleast in pick up groups with randoms if they are rewarded way less than what they would be if they were dps specc) i say to bioware, fix equal medals for everyone that do their job!

 

On the otherhand, im probably not the only one but this PVP "loot" system is ridicolus i have opened 80+ champion bags now (almost battlemaster) and i have 3 pieces of the set gear and the weapon, i see on the other hand people on my server with valor 27 (full set and weapon), this would not be such a big issue if the expertise and pvp gear didnt play such a big role in the pvp, but let's be honest it does, people saying this is a "Fair" system should go back to the pve, people that dinged 50 do the daily's + weeklies and cash in more gear than the ones that has allready played Huttball so much that they can quote the commentator even tho they muted the ingame sound due beeing tired of hearing it.

 

These 2 are the biggest issue's i got with PVP comming from a wide range of mmo experience this is by far the most dumb way to do it, if you on life and death need a token system make it 3 diffrent ones like 1 token for weapons, 1 for armor and 1 last for accessories this way people wont end up with 5 offhands , 3 gloves + more duplicates like i have basing gearing in pvp on luck is just dumb.

I always give MVP to my healer, although I close to never get more then him, and I am ALWAYS top damage and kills pretty much.

 

People somehow think that because I do the most damage and have to most kills, I must be skipping the objectives, although my mate always follows me around..

 

Anyway, one more thing, they have to nerf Assassins, only class that can get 12+ medals every game with ease..

I truly agree with you, healers dont get enogh mvp compare to someone just dealing dps and racking in kills (using there medpack to get that 2,5k medal also). And the random gear from bags are killing me, i truly hate the way it is. I dont want to base gear "farming" on freaking luck.

Yeah it's a pain, are you from the same SUN, that was on the age of conan server Fury back in the days?

Finally more people are realizing this. If there were more rewards for healing more people would heal, simple as that.

In Warhammer and DAoC healers always received a little more realm points for healing. They say the PvP people from mythic (I mean WAR was terrible, but what have they done here? oO) worked on this game makes me laugh, maybe they recruited 1 intern who was working on quest texts in WAR or DAoC.

 

When not playing with my mates I'm the only healer 99% of the time and the enemy knows this, so pretty much the whole game I have to tank the enemy team and heal stupid people who jump into acid pools ect.

And at the end you get jack **** for it.

 

It's not even worth healing these people in the first place, there are so many bads it's mind blowing.

And then you don't even get rewarded properly.

I'm starting to see a lot more outstanding healers in my WZs, who make a BIG difference in my ability to OM NOM NOM opponents as an Assassin. So afterwards, I always sort the score board list by heals and give my MVP vote to the most worthy healer. As well as saying thank you to them in chat.

 

I do try to also spread the love to the tanks providing Guard/protection. But it would be nice if we could give 3 types of MVP awards.

 

1) Top Damage/Kills

2) Healing

3) Guarding/Protection.

So you have 240 tokens. Cry less and buy some gear, that's what they're for.

Yes same SUN guild, we play on republic fotn server (lots of empire targets) truly miss some of those aoc fight over areas

What about dps? Tanks are the ones who get most medals because they get the tanking ones while doing just fine dps for the dps medals. People don't deserve more because they heal. I don't get anything for peeling for them.

that would be fine if we didnt recive duplicates (which contains no tokens or 1 not sure which atm been so many) that's useless too uss (dont give me the comment "use them for companion" as you can use assassin tokens to get gear to forexample medium armor geared companions, im not crying by any means i just think it's a retarded system

guards also can eaasily obtain 3 medals alone which is extra comms and valor I'm not sure what the ratio is

 

as a healer that just heals if I do not hit any target what so ever I can hit 280k heals.. and have maybe 4 medals.. that's on an average in huttball.

 

I can get 5 maybe 6 in alderaan.

Almost every dps class has the ability to either heal or guard (im dps specced assassin i get my tanking medal's easier by guarding healers or other players) but mercs can still pretty easily get the healing ones for 2,5k heal and 75k heal forexample

I always said there is a fine fix for this, easy and not gamebreaking.

Make that a healer who heals someone and that someone kills an enemy within 10 seconds or so gets a kill as well, that would make it easier to achieve the medals for 10 and 25 kills, instead of having to random tag people hoping they get killed.

Healers way of assisting on a kill is by healing the damagers, that should count.

And you would only obtain the paladin mark if a healer keeps you and your protected one up.

The way rewards currently work pushes a lot of healing classes into playing the system. Heal until you got the healing medals and then dps to get the damage/kill medals.

 

Poor design imo and some adjustments are needed.

 

( While we're at it, those DPS classes that can't heal or tank deserve another look as well. )
