Topheridles
I picked up an epic schematic for medium armor gloves from a heroic flashpoint and was excited to start making them for guildies and GTN sales. Little did I realize the gloves are bind on pickup after creation, making them untradable. Please tell me this is a mistake. As a Sage any non light armor schematics I find I'm supposed to not learn them? How am I supposed to turn a profit on my trade skill if the best items cant even be sold? Isnt that the whole purpose of crew skills? Any incentive to be an armor/weapon trade skill is completely gone if you cant even sell the best items the profession has to offer. With the other professions already having better utilities the little reason I had to stay a synthweaver is now gone. Please don't make armor crafting trade skills useless once again. pryt
Isnt that the whole purpose of crew skills?. You name it, 'crew' skills. Not 'community' skills. Go figure, it's a selfish crew. Yeah, and you're not the only one annoyed with all that 'Bind on Pickup' crap, that's so late 50's.
Topheridles
Crew as in the crew makes them, not the crew uses them. Nice troll though.
Corlantis
Isnt that the whole purpose of crew skills? No. I think only one of the possible purposes is to sell it/give it to others. Clearly, another purpose of crew skills is for making things only you can use. This exists in all crew skills, including biochem medpacks, cybertech grenades and a several BOP purple recipes in each crafting skill. This is all just from what you learn from the trainer. In other games I have played, there are some BOP and BOE recipes. In fact, the drop recipes are more often BOP than vendor recipes in these games. For this game having been in development for so long there are some really "dumb" things I keep stumbling on. I too, can make beautiful BOP heavy armor gloves for my clothie healer.....I guess they assume I can make them for my companion (the whole companion idea is actually quite stupid), but to be honest, I hope that this game has more to offer me at max level then running around doing 2-4 man dungeons with my stupid minions. Terwilliger
Crew as in the crew makes them, not the crew uses them. Nice troll though. Given the multiple ways crafting profitability is hindered (the BoP thing you're unhappy with, commendation vendors, etc.,) why do you believe crafting is intended to be a profitable endeavor? I could tell you the BoP thing is a mistake, but I wouldn't be sincere when I did.
