First of all, thanks for the feedback. Appreciate it.
I'm just gonna put it out there: my playstyle/spec may or may not be a showcase of an optimal PvP sniper.
Why?
Because I'm a pretty unorthodox player is almost every game I play in the sense that I value personal preference and enjoyment over effectiveness. Unlike most snipers, I leveled as a Lethality sniper and actually switched to MM at lvl 42 because it actually feels great while playing the spec.
On a side note, I actually copy/pasted my current spec from http://swtorsniper.blogspot.com (credits to him) because I'm just too lazy to consume the plethora of MM information around.
Yes, sometimes I fool around, sometimes I make mistakes, sometimes I only want to kill troopers because they are annoying, sometimes I don't try too hard - who doesn't? My videos aren't meant to show people how a sniper should be played, but rather how a sniper is played from my point of view and hopefully, people can take away something useful. That said, I don't use EP or invest in the Engineering tree because those abilities don't fit my vision of a real sniper.
Regarding Huttball, moving around on top is the the best way to play as a sniper imo. You always want to maintain range as a sniper and getting to higher ground is just common sense. When people are starting to target you, you are doing your job right. Remember, any heat you take is heat taken away from the ball carrier/turret slicer/bomb planter and defuser.
And, I don't see the big deal with charge because I always deal with those easily with Leg Shot, Debilitate and Flash Bang. If you position your Ambush well while they are CCed, you could even push them onto the fire traps or out of the platforms. Snipers can also deal with operatives really well if you have those 3 CCs available + your defensive CDs.
Lastly, just because someone is playing differently from you doesn't mean he's bad. I have always been a very good player in almost every game I play and I'm sure my guildies would agree with me.
