  1. Look who uploaded some gameplay vids of their own. Keep up the great work!
  2. This. I swear I was in match where EVERY warrior had a blue shield and trooper a red shield - I didn't know who to target. If they remove defense, we can tear through them easily. With defense, we might as well don't bother attacking. No idea how they are gonna fix this.
  3. I can see your point on ball carriers charging to snipers. Your server probably have a lot more smarter players because the only people who comes charging towards me are single opponents who just want to kill me. I can only remember ball carriers who charged to me only occurring around a couple of times in my entire PvP career. But yeah, if I see a pattern like the one you're facing, I would definitely adjust my positioning accordingly. My current spec is actually a pure MM build with FT :X The channeled ability I use is SoS, not Cull. I took the build this entry: http://swtorsniper.blogspot.com/2012/01/warzone-damage.html Direct link for talent tree: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#400bsrbdMsRtzZbc0MZh.1 You probably browsed my vids too fast lol. My earlier vids had standard rotations which I developed that always kept my energy at 60 or more (unless I used special abilities like Orbital Strike). However, I realized that I needed faster burst in the 50s-only bracket so I refined them with a bit more energy usage in the later vids. Anyhow, thanks for the feedback on the vids. I'll omit the music in my future uploads.
  4. Of course I don't mean spamming those CCs in an attempt to stunlock them, that'd be ridiculous. In a 1v1 situation, 1. Deb -> SoS rotation (Deb stun doesn't break from damage) 3. Leg Shot/Flash Bang -> Ambush rotation After this, they would probably have 1/2 to 1/3 health left or dead if you strung those crits continuously. At this time, they would probably try to escape. The only time this doesn't work is when those heavy armor opponents activate their defensive CDs. I usually use Target Acquired/Rapid Fire/relic/adrenals against those really beefy opponents. Lastly, CC + knockback from Ambush DOES work - I know because I've used it a ton of times. Of course, cover pulse after CC doesn't work.
  5. First of all, thanks for the feedback. Appreciate it. I'm just gonna put it out there: my playstyle/spec may or may not be a showcase of an optimal PvP sniper. Why? Because I'm a pretty unorthodox player is almost every game I play in the sense that I value personal preference and enjoyment over effectiveness. Unlike most snipers, I leveled as a Lethality sniper and actually switched to MM at lvl 42 because it actually feels great while playing the spec. On a side note, I actually copy/pasted my current spec from http://swtorsniper.blogspot.com (credits to him) because I'm just too lazy to consume the plethora of MM information around. Yes, sometimes I fool around, sometimes I make mistakes, sometimes I only want to kill troopers because they are annoying, sometimes I don't try too hard - who doesn't? My videos aren't meant to show people how a sniper should be played, but rather how a sniper is played from my point of view and hopefully, people can take away something useful. That said, I don't use EP or invest in the Engineering tree because those abilities don't fit my vision of a real sniper. Regarding Huttball, moving around on top is the the best way to play as a sniper imo. You always want to maintain range as a sniper and getting to higher ground is just common sense. When people are starting to target you, you are doing your job right. Remember, any heat you take is heat taken away from the ball carrier/turret slicer/bomb planter and defuser. And, I don't see the big deal with charge because I always deal with those easily with Leg Shot, Debilitate and Flash Bang. If you position your Ambush well while they are CCed, you could even push them onto the fire traps or out of the platforms. Snipers can also deal with operatives really well if you have those 3 CCs available + your defensive CDs. Lastly, just because someone is playing differently from you doesn't mean he's bad. I have always been a very good player in almost every game I play and I'm sure my guildies would agree with me.
  6. You couldn't be more wrong. My story is different from others - I was a Lethality sniper myself till I hit 40. Like you, I thought MM sniping don't require skill as you just spam skills when they are off CD - I was wrong. IMO, there are two ways to play a MM sniper: 1. Spam your best skills available and using fillers in between CDs 2. Use your procs to get the best out of your skills. Now I wouldn't know which style gives the highest overall numbers but I'm all for the procs.
  7. The red portable cover is more conspicuous than the red nameplate imo.
  8. Slice Droid is amazing in PvE. My friend and I could clear H4 instances with droid mobs easily with this skill. Best thing about it? It's usable in combat.

  10. Biochem but I'm trying to proc implants.
  11. Thanks, I am crafting implants (biochem) and it should follow the complex system. I can craft 3 different blue types but I can't seem to proc more than 1 purple type.
  12. Helps with the team's overall damage tho. Your teammates who are attacking the target also enjoy the debuff on him. And since Cull has a long CD, I always use Sniper/Rifle shots on my poisoned targets to wait for the next Cull. So with Cull's weapon dmg, Snipe, Rifle Shots taken into consideration, it takes up quite a bit of direct damage. When I'm not engaging anyone, I always try to pop scatter shot on targets who are too far for me to use my rotation - 45 secs is a long time in pvp and the target is bound to get attacked within that time.
  13. Can I only proc 1 purple schematic? I have been trying to proc over 30 blue ones with no results after already proccing 1 purple schematic, it's really frustrating.
