  1. I just started leveling my Second toon. I reserved this name on the first hour of Early access. My Operative is Agent Bourne.
  2. We can talk about this ad naseum, but isn't it obvious grouping isn't important to Bioware? If it was, then it would have been in at launch. Now, all we get from Bioware is lip service. Taking three hours for finding a group to run hardmodes is a real game breaker.
  3. Yeah, its ridiculous. one night I was lucky enough to get some guilding together, we had 6 ppl for the eight man EV normal. Needed two more DPS (DPS!) and couldnt find any. THis is definitely a game breaker. Its like BioWare really doesent care if they make us waste our time. Makes me kind of angry actually, that they would leave this out(LFG TOOL), like it was unimportant to them.
  4. I have. Figured it couldn't hurt to gripe here as well. SOmetime they do read this drivel.
  5. A LFG tool being left out of the game was pure incompetence. WHile leveling sometimes it would take some time to find a group for heroics, that was fine. But at 50, when there as nothing else to do BUT group for FP AND OPS, its unbearable. If the stars are aligned, you can get a group together in 30 minutes, most of the time you're lucky if you can get one in 1 hour. Ive tried several times for 3+ hours to get a group for Hard Modes, with no luck....AND IM A HEALER. I dont know about you all, but I have better things to do than log into a game and stand around in fleet and spam for hours on end. The average player does not have hours to waste before then can "play" the game. Half of the 50's on my FL don't even log on anymore, many of them had complained that grouping was screwed up. Yeah, I know BW said they are working on a LFG tool, but have been very vague. Could come out in a month, could be three months, who knows with bioware. Ive logged in at 6pm on a saturday, stayed on until 2 am and only have gotten do do one FP. Is that the best use of my time? Then, sometimes your lucky enough to get a group, but maybe they are not geared, so that you keep wiping, but are too nervous to leave because you know this may be your only chance at running something, so you end up trying to persevere and the FP ends up costing you 100k, even if you do not finish it. I love this game, but I cannot continue to waste my time. If this is not rectified soon, I feel that bioware will lose many subs because of this issue. The health of the game will suffer. (this thread is more for Bioware, than the flamers)
  6. Yeah, cause of I guess the only think that is supossed to go in the General Discussion forum of the game are whine and quit threads.
  7. We don't know he didn't die, or if he did. I just did Foundry and he does disappear. THis needs to be explained, and not in some half azz way, if he did live. It does not negate my opinion that his character should have been given more respect than he was given. An operation would have been a fitting setting for a character of his stature, or even a longer flashpoint, more epic. rather than the 40 minutes which this one takes. Its also nice how the moderators moved this thread to the thread graveyard. this is where threads go to die.
  8. So apparently your okay with BioWare killing off these characters so early and in a ho hum fashion, just because people who don't want to raid got to see them? It would be like Darth Vader getting picked off by a rebel sniper during the battle of Hoth.
  9. Revan is such an integral figure in the Star Wars Expanded Universe. Drew K (one of the BW Writers) even wrote a novel called "Revan" (very good btw). But yet, in foundry he is reduced to a boss fight. Defeated in a couple minutes, he was. Darth Malgus....one day he's telling me to go to Flashpoints and defeat enemies for the empire, the next, he is a traitor to the Empire in the False Emperor flashpoint. Reduced to a boss fight. Is this the best they could do to these landmark characters? Malgus was such as bad as in the "decieved" novel. These character should have at least been given their own Operation, yeah?
  10. I also remember that in one of the trailers (the sacking of the jedi temple) it showed a bounty hunter using her jet pack to get up to the second floor ledge.
  11. The reason I ask is because I was in a WZ recently and I said we should take mid and left. I was immediately called an idiot and said sides are easier to defend. Seems like the entire pug wanted to take the sides. My reasoning for the mid and left is that those two are the closest from the imp drop in point at the beginning of the match. At the beginning speed is most important and whomever holds a turret first will most likely hold on to it the rest of the game (most of the time, in my experience if it is defended right). But getting the turret is the hardest part. Again, getting to the mid and left are the quickest. What advantage is there of getting the sides? The only one I can think of is sight. From the sides you can see them coming, but if your a defender on mid, you call out as soon as you see them, so not much of an advantage, imo. Maybe 5 seconds. What do you guys think is best, SIDE AND SIDE or SIDE AND MID?
  12. I only wonder why? It seems so obvious we should be able to do this. THis really becomes noticeable while playing huttball. I get the ball and slowly run up the ramp etc...meanwhile next time some force user gets the ball he is sprinting then jumps. Then if he falls off the ramp, he can just jump back up...meanwhile we can't do anything except slowly run the ball and hope we dont get knocked off....AND WE HAVE JET PACKS!!! Not a QQ, just an observation.
  13. Im sorry to hear this. I loved your Novels. I just finished reading Revan. That book was awesome. I hope you're not letting the haters get to you, these people barely have a sixth grade level comprehension of english. They would not know quality writing from chicken scratch.
  14. What is so evil about Guantanamo? I dont see the comparison.
  15. Yeah, the EMpire would be awesome if it werent so evil. It is a well oiled machine. and they have cool ships. Just take out the back stabbing and indiscriminate killing and overall evil, I would then would want to live there.
  16. Yes, he was crazy from the get go. The emperor Killed his dad when he was six, then tortured his mother for months before he killed her. Then took over the planet town by town. After the great hyperspace war, which he did not participate in, the Sith were running for their lives. He invited them to Nathema for a summit of sorts. Once there he overtook their minds and....
  17. They want to destroy the Jedi because they want to dominate the light side of the force. The dark side guides them and manipulates them into corruption. Basically, every SIth is the real life equivalent of Joseph Stalin.
  18. I would say that the Republic Mirrors any democratic form of government. I am actually beginning to believe IRL that a democratic form a government is not the way to go, depending on who the Autocratic Authority is. If you get a good one then everyhtigs fine. If you get someone like Stalin, then you're screwed. The Soviet Union was the closest thing we have had to the Empire. I know someone who grew up in the Soviet Union, the stories they tell....For one of the lighter examples is that if they were building a new apartment building, and you were assigned a unit by the GOvernment inside that building then you left your job to go help build that building.....basically slave labor. If it werent sad It would be funny
  19. The Empire tried to wipe out the Sith because every sith is a force user. And they all belong to the dark side. THe republic was trying to wipe out the dark side because it knew the sith woulf invade in the future.
  20. NIce response. I see some flaws though. THe Sith think of Imperials as nothing more than tools that serve their will. If you read the Novel "Revan" (Written by lead writer for TOR) , you'll find out that the Emperor has been planning his invasion of the republic for hundreds of years. He will not only stop wtih defeating the republic, he want to defeat the entire galaxy and destroy everything. He has no issues with killing billions of his own people. He has already done it in order to become Emperer. In addition to every living thing on his planet, he killed and ate all the sith of his time. So its not a question of getting back the the republic, it is his desire to have power. The Germans began bombing London in 1939, after years of suffering bombing the allies decided to fight fire with fire. Nothing wrong with that. There is no moral equivalence here, as the germans did it for years. Dresden would not have been bombed if the germans did not use this tactic in the first place. THe Sith EMpire always does bad things first. There is nothing wrong with responding in kind (if the sith do it, they should expect the favor to be returned). Its not as if the Republic all of a sudden one day decided to slaughter millions of civillians for for the sake of power. The people have been manipulated into wanting to fight the republic because that is the propaganda they are told. What else are they to believe. Any disinters are harshly dealt with. The average Imperial Citizen is nothing more than a second class citizen there to serve the will of the various sith and ultimately the Emperor. Not to say that there aren't good people in the Empire, I've run across quite a few while playing my BH, its just that overall it is evil. People do not know the whole story. Do you think the average citizen knows that the Emperor killed billions of people on his planet in order to become immortal? In fact, in the book "Revan", some of the Sith were afraid that he was going to do the same thing to Dromund Kaas.
  21. im light 5. as I watch the evils that are perpetrated by the empire, it makes me a bit queasy. also, the stuff I wrote about in my OP really makes me detest them. How can you feel comfortable following a leader like the emperor?
  22. and that pertains to the topic how. lets not let this veer of to another hate thread. buh bye.
  23. Drew Karphysan is the lead writer at BioWare, he has also written many Star Wars Novels. He wrote the Novel "Revan", among many others. I just think that the Jedi in question had no idea what she was talking about.
  24. I like sci fi, so yes I would be playing. I am actually enjoying the game.
