  1. People are referring to the dailies available at level 50 and beyond - I'm not aware of any daily missions below that level save for any repeatable heroic missions on questing planets. At level 50, you gain access to Corellia's Black Hole, Belsavis (Section X and regular zones), and Ilum. At level 55, you gain access to CZ-198 and Makeb's various daily missions. You also have available GSI dailies, unique terminals found on Alderaan, Tatooine, Hoth, and Makeb. I can't remember off-hand if these are level 55 dailies or if the missions correspond to the level of the planet. I tend to lean towards thinking they are level 55 dailies. You also have a level 50 daily space mission you can do. As well as daily PvP and group finder mission rewards.
  2. I've noticed that town ganking/camping is pretty discouraged by Bioware, even on PvP servers. If you can even physically get to an enemy town in the first place, it takes a full group just to tank the guards. Seems a tad excessive. But on the other hand, these new events (such as the tauntaun mount) have led to some wonderful organic world PvP on my server. So those are nice...but I do wish they allowed faction's paths to cross more during questing. I rarely see an enemy player when questing.
  3. If you're willing to spend the credits to max out a few XP boosts from the legacy tab (increases amount of XP gained from certain game activities, such as flashpoints or warzones), those really can help. Combined with a cartel market XP boost and any guild bonuses you can manage - you can level up pretty quickly with warzones and flashpoints. I've been leveling a healer scoundrel this way and I only visit a planet for my class missions. As long as I don't barrel through too many planets in a day (getting frequent queue pops mid-questing helps slow you down enough so you don't get too far ahead in your class story), I don't get to behind level wise.
  4. So, the translation for anyone confused: He wants an out-of-game webpage that displays some of the achievements/reputations, etc. of your character, similar to the "armory" pages of the MMO-that-shall-not-be-named so that it is easier to compare with friends, rivals, etc. without having to be right next to them in-game. It'd be nice, but I wonder how technically difficult such a feature would be.
  5. I think Phase Walk can be a really useful tool for those who learn how to use it effectively. However, a barrier to that happening certainly is certainly the whole "determining 60m range" aspect of it. The ability could use some polishing in how the ability reacts when you try and use it out of range (either not letting you or some indication), or how it functions when you try to remove the buff icon. I think it still has a lot of potential though. Maybe a high skill curve.
  6. For the poster above: Yes, it makes you drop the huttball too. I personally like it. I enjoy how you can use it in stealth and still teleport and arrive stealthed. It's really nice for defending objectives because you can sit far enough away that you aren't detected and instantly close a 60m gap to defend. As a tank, I always plop it down for my healer when doing Flashpoints for its healing buff. I've definitely found it to be a useful escape and I like the planning it requires you to make before engaging. Things I don't like include the fact that instead of getting an "Out of Range" error, it simply removes your marker and starts the CD if you're outside the 60m range. I also don't like how right-clicking the buff teleports you instead of removing it (if you're within range). Sometimes I want to get that CD started early so I can place it somewhere else. Has anyone worked out a good way to gauge how far away 60m is yet? Judging how far away I can go seems to be my weakness so far.
  7. I would suggest a Jedi Shadow. You won't get the best DPS there is, but you'll still get good DPS, you'll have a fair amount of health, you'll have stealth, you'll have mid-to-close range abilities and you'll have a nice amount of survivability. Some people complain that the Jedi Consular story is terrible. I thought it was alright. But I think the Jedi Shadow is going to come closest to having all of the things you want. I love playing on my Shadow. Very versatile and powerful.
  8. They told us that you would be able to go to Makeb straight off of Corellia. Basically, whatever you have from leveling will be fine. The game will still flow naturally. However, level 50 players who have spent all this time accumulating high-end gear will have a gear advantage for about half of Makeb before it starts getting replaced by quest rewards and such.
  9. So, what do you guys know about the Gree? The game has really been using them for story elements recently, as you can obviously see, but I don't know much about their backstory. Questions I think of include: How old are the Gree? Are they Rakata-old? Why are they so advanced? What has kept them from using such advanced technology to their own military advantage? Are they a numerous or extensive people? Or small and reclusive living in the Unknown Regions? Are the Gree found elsewhere in Star Wars literature and canon? What interest do the Gree have in the peoples of the known galaxy? They seem to have helped construct Coruscant's core systems or something of the sort, based on interactions in quests on Coruscant. Just curious and wondering if anyone knows more.
  10. The Imperial Agent has the best story I've played so far. I doubt any others are going to be able to touch it. It's the kind of story that will keep you up until 2AM doing your class mission quests. It's that compelling.
  11. Force Vanish (the insta-cloak for shadows) doesn't always work perfectly. There are times where I remain in combat even though there are no DoTs present on myself or companion, nor any channeled abilities being used by the enemy NPCs. I've noticed this a lot in Section X. Telekinetic Throw (used by Consular) often glitches out a bit too. Client side, at least, I can cast it and no cast bar appears. It's hard to tell if the ability actually executed. Sometimes it does and my stacks of Harnassed Shadows are used up, and sometimes it isn't. Sometimes I cast it twice - the first time only executes the animation and cast bar and the second time actually executes the ability. It'd be nice to be able to search a lot more generally on the GTM. For example, if I select "Cartel Market Items" from the drop-down menu, I have to then insert at least 3-4 characters of text before I'm allowed to search. What if I don't know what all the cartel market items are and want to look at all of them on the GTM?
  12. I only really solo warzone queue on my republic characters and I find we often win. More so during prime times than in the morning, where it's more of a 50/50 in my experience.
  13. Yeah, I can't even log into the Bastion. Sometimes my server select screen is empty.
  14. I got one unlock after doing all but two of the new missions (the most I could do with only grade 5 purples). Once I finished it, the next day I had two new ones. Unfortunately, they were the two I can't accomplish with my grade 5 purple ship parts. So yeah. We're supposed to play the "old" level 50 space missions, get the comms, and then be able to afford the level 7 ones for the new ones. Just like regular progression.
  15. Not if your enemy is bearing down on you.
  16. I believe the carbonite chamber regenerates at the same speed that the Life Day orb does; both being slower than the regular regen abilities. The Carbonite chamber is much more expensive than the Life Day orb is. Even if this isn't a bug, it would nice to have them even across the board. I do not see why it would be a bad thing to pay for a different regen animation.
  17. This is about Imperial pug bads, right? Continue on as is, Imperial pug bads.
  18. These are the combinations I would shoot for: Sage and Assassin Sentinel and Juggernaut Vanguard and Mercenary Scoundrel and Sniper I suggest Sentinel for your Knight because the Knight story is very "gun-ho" and heroic. The armor looks fairly similar between Guardian and Sentinel (in my opinion). I do think the heavy-armor single-saber Juggernaut would fit a Sith Warrior more. I suggested a Mercenary for your Bounty Hunter because the dual-weilding pistols is very Bounty-Hunter like. I currently am leveling a Powertech and I had to force myself to use all my up-close melee abilities even though shooting felt more natural with that character. The heavy-armor vanguard melee abilities make a bit more sense, considering the giant gun the trooper carries around.
  19. I mean really, if these things are going to cost cartel coins and simultaneously advertise that it regenerates your class' health and energy pools, you'd expect it to be going at the same rate as the abilities you currently have. This should either be clarified or tweaked to be on equal footing.
  20. Yeah, I think this game is going great. You will always be able to point to bugs, but overall, this is a solid game. The leveling experience is amazing, the endgame experience is broad and inclusive if you want to be a part of it, PvP warzones are fun and varied, and all of it has nowhere to go but up. Each Operation/Flashpoint/Warzone they create gets them more experience in what works and doesn't. They've got their major game systems in, and more are on the way. A F2P option that allows you to play the best part of the game free (leveling) is pretty generous.
  21. True, and I'm not. However, I still want to be able to use it and I'd rather not have two regen abilities using up quickbar space. A small problem, yes, but those are 60 Cartel Coins for an item I thought I'd be using more. Should be a quick fix though, right? It just needs attention and to get noticed.
  22. Guys. The point is that the Life Day Orb regen rate is slower than any of the other regen rates. This poses an issue in time-sensitive environments, such as PvP warzones. Yes, it also has a lower channel time, but the important part is that it does not regenerate your health and energy pool as quickly as other options out there. It'd be nice to be able to use the item, but if the abilities that came with my class work better....it's not going to happen.
  23. It's likely that the PvP server will have a higher population and thus be more fun to play on. It's always nice having the option to interact with players, when you choose. Ultimately though, I think it would depend on which level 50 you like to play more.
  24. That inquisitor/investigator one likely is popular. I'm personally gunning for the Destroyer set for my knight. Those are the two I would venture with.
  25. I've got 3 50s and a 4th on his way; I've played since the first day. I agree, this game is an amazing leveling experience. I personally also enjoy a lot of the endgame stuff. It's really epic the first time you see it all, but like all games, there needs to be a personal drive to beat everything they've got if you want to last in the endgame. No game is going to be able to feed you motivation to keep playing endgame without some pretty negative tradeoffs. Luckily for us, leveling in this game is amazing and there are 8 ENTIRELY UNIQUE classes. Whenever my drive to beat the latest hardmode falters, I go level an alt for a week or so and enjoy it. Then, when I return to my 50s, it's refreshing. You just need to learn how to balance your gameplay. Anything will get stale if you ONLY do that.
