Basically we now have "Please leave your skills at the door in favor if burst dmg and dmg reduction, oh and the mediocre heal boost. all known as expertise " Long story short Expertise should be static for all PVP gear(IE the same on recruit as it is on WH), VALOR rank should do something THAT IS SKILL based USEFUL, increased value of non dmg bonus secondary stats, or a Temp Heal ie act like a delayed dmg reduction cd(take dmg shrug it off then have it come back to you at end of CD). These are just ideas. Basically the other stats: def sheild absorb accuracy power etc should be how players tweak their gear JUST LIKE PVE. If players TTK is too quick then the solution is to increase EXPERTISE on all armor(again maintaining same amount across all gears) TO SLOW THE FIGHTS DOWN. This would give skill and proper play a chance in the game rather then press these 4 buttons in order on the squishiest target while having expertise over 90 0 and you can kill someone easily. I remember in Beta we expressed a massive dislike of the expertise stat, it inclusion in the game and the fact that PVP was going to be based on who was wearing more the pvp stat it was true pre 1.2 it's even more true post 1.2 which GZ's post absolutely confirms. I quit wow pvp 1/2 way through BC because it was all about LOS and Resilience stacking, and who could burst whose healer down before heals could land and well that has been recreated perfectly with the current expertise system. anyways that is my 2cp.

Glad to hear you have a reasonable point of view on macros, there was another game where i had 65 different macros to make a character playable to it's full potential because the interface was so terrible and the mechanics were convoluted behind shifting forms. In terms of automating combat i would agree chain ability macros are bad for the game period. Would you consider tedious things like having 2 key-binds for 1 type of ability that is the same just with 1 target being friendly and 1 being enemy. Those are the type of macros i prefer to use in other games. For example macroing force charge and intervene on the same button would be nice. I know when I press the button i will leap to whoever i have targeted friend or foe.
  3. Also you can't learn type B mods vendor purchased from REing either. (wasted a lot of credits and coms trying that)
  4. Why does a PVE geared player who just starts to pvp get destroyed due to a lack of expertise but a PVP geared player has 0 difficulty completing PVE content in pvp gear? Can we expect PVP gear to actually be regulated to pvp via significantly increased damage taken and less dmg done to NPC's or will it continue to dominate pve gear for all aspects of the game including ease of gain?

  6. this is a better version of what i was thinking and hadn't quite had time to write up. I like it.

Seriously, i dont get credit for more then half the kills i help with, so i spend time standing around in center farming armaments that spawn at a pathetically slow pace(over 2 hours(sorry adults have lives). Here is my suggestion place armaments at each node, center and bases have the fewest, and only North and South have the most, increase the spawn rate if it has recently traded sides. Something anything so ilum isn't the boring lag infested, i don't get kills done in a reasonable time frame(1 hour or less) event that it is currently, at least for me.
  8. This is normal. also Mako + 10k affection != standard returns, neither does a jk with t7 and his +2 crit. As a SW Juggernaut(with 4/5 companions at 10k and the last at 9k) i have 0 bonus to slicing crit or efficiency(the only class to not get a slicing bonus of some kind from crew skills i might add) and i get maybe 1-3 mission crits in an 8 hour period and the majority of them are worthless investigation and diplomacy missions.
  9. A PVE geared player gets ROFLstomped in PVP yet a PVP geared player can easily do PVE content in PVP gear. Why doesnt Expertise cause a massive dps loss and increased dmg taken vs NPC's in pve conent?
  10. nope, you can only learn the patterns that are on the trainer or ear pieces that drop as schematics.

  12. unlike biochem, synthweaving, armormech. Our lvl 50 ear piece schematics only drop in Hard and Nightmare mode Operations, and they are BOP. so you cant even sell ear pieces to other classes or on the GTN.
  13. lvl 50 scavenging, cybertech, slicer - most of my money comes from dailies(including space) and the cash i send to my 25 alt for UT missioning with 2 companions 2.3m cash 3-5m in mats depending on the day and gtn prices for metals, compounds and UT mats lvl 25 char - underworld trading, scavenging, archeology - takes cash from main turns into UT mats, mailed back to Main to sell/use, oh and runs 3 space dailies per day. 200k cash
  14. Limited Friend or Foe macros yes, anthing beyond vanity ui changes no.
  15. Make expertise increase dmg taken from NPC's, this will make sure that people do not farm pvp and wear the gear into pve. ie each % expertise increases dmg from npc's by the same amount that it decreses dmg taken from players. pvp gear for pvp, pve gear for pve.

If they had done what they initially where going to do with changing trade skills I might consider going biochem, But I also can't bear drop the cybertech thanks to the number of purples i have ground out in it. (the plan when initially announced as you could unlearn a trade skill and when you relearned you where to know all the old patterns you just had to regrind the lvl to craft em)
  17. That's teh Wizbang granades, those are your perk. The speeders being BOP not having any bonus speed, or true unique look are a terrible perk just like Engineerings only mounts in WoW, was bad then is bad now.
  18. i love the people that say they get crits every 1 or 2 missions. I have 4/5 companions at 10k affection and the last at 7k atm (i am SW so i get 0 slicing bonus instead i get armstech crit *** over). i get around 6 crits in an 8 hour period only sending out on Rich/bountiful(3/4/5) missions and the abundant 6(just to get 340 procs) and most of the crits return useless diplomacy or investigation missions.
  19. Not cratable by Cybetech, they are only obtainable from 1 4+ dailies on belsavas at lvl 50.

  21. I leveled through every planet with 2 friends(nearly every quest including classquest zones), and did every flashpoint so far, and at 50 i am only social 8.
  22. best implementation of this idea i have seen yet, meaning it's not abuseable(well mostly) it's not for just bounty hunters hunting jedi it's not designed to be a method to corpse camp someone.
  23. if by fixed you mean removed from the game, then yes. If by fixed you mean removed from artificing and placed on the Cybertech trainer where they belonged then, no it wasn't fixed.
  24. not possible to learn them at all currently, the only source is the daily or pulling them from Tionese or Columni raid gear.
