To possibly answer 5, what I saw of the Beta indicated that Class quests give you equipment, xp, cash, and also lead you to new companions, unlocking your ship, and other such goodies. At least by around level 30 there were no specific skills. Those all come from a Skill Trainer when you level up.

I'm going to have to disagree. For your analogy to be accurate, BW would have had to have actually done something intentional to aggravate the community. As it is, they delivered what was promised all along, if not more than that. To use your analogy, they went down prepared with a shark cage. Their only real mistake that I can see is that inside the cage was the loveliest piece of raw meat a shark could imagine. That said, they would do well to learn from this experience, and be extra-communicative in the future, lest the overentitled and unwashed masses fail to read once again.

The main issue is that people are demanding something that they think is owed to them, but never was. While BW could have been more forthcoming with details, then again maybe they couldn't have been. None of us know what is going on behind their doors. Perhaps they didn't even know how many they would get in each wave. Either way, it boils down to people jumping to conclusions, then other people treating those conclusions as fact. People are stupid, haters gonna hate. Such is life.

Admittedly it is a chore that I won't be definitely able to hook up with my friends and start at the same time, but surely the fact that you get early access at all should be considered a plus? Also, if you were that concerned about playing with friends from the start, you could have co-ordinated your pre-orders. It's not like they ever said they would tell us exactly when we would get in. I'm not saying that they shouldn't tell us, or even that we shouldn't have already been told (obviously that would be preferable), but the information we have been given should be enough for any rational person to be able to go by. People just need to be patient and less self-centred.

So the people making it possible to support new waves of invites have gone home for the night. I would like to draw your attention to the email sent out by Bioware on the 21st July 2011. In other words, since the moment they said you were allowed to preorder, the staggered entry into EGA has been on the table. So grow the **** up, stop whining like spoiled children, and be pleased that some time soon, in the next few days, you'll be immersed in this awesome game. And you'll be in before John McNotafanboi. Take some solace in that, even if you can't show your epic purple lutes to all the noobs come the 20th. Additionally, give the poor bastards a break. They've been working on the game for years, it's not even come out yet, and already you're acting like they are evil just for going home at the end of the day. Hardly seems fair.
