  1. To possibly answer 5, what I saw of the Beta indicated that Class quests give you equipment, xp, cash, and also lead you to new companions, unlocking your ship, and other such goodies. At least by around level 30 there were no specific skills. Those all come from a Skill Trainer when you level up.
  2. 11th Nov for me. I'm crossing my fingers for the second wave, and setting my alarm for the first
  3. While this is a nice idea, it would be rather difficult to bring into practice with the current rather soft age verification process. Beyond asking for some sort of physical ID, what's to stop people lying? That said, if it could be done, I'd definitely be interested.
  4. Could the OP please correct the spelling of the title if we're going to be herded in here to talk about the EGA? I am picky and it upsets my poor sensitive feelings.
  5. I will not be satisfied until I can be the ancestor of Lt Ketch.
  6. Agreed. Nice to read a proper sentence now and again.
  7. I'm going to have to disagree. For your analogy to be accurate, BW would have had to have actually done something intentional to aggravate the community. As it is, they delivered what was promised all along, if not more than that. To use your analogy, they went down prepared with a shark cage. Their only real mistake that I can see is that inside the cage was the loveliest piece of raw meat a shark could imagine. That said, they would do well to learn from this experience, and be extra-communicative in the future, lest the overentitled and unwashed masses fail to read once again.
  8. The main issue is that people are demanding something that they think is owed to them, but never was. While BW could have been more forthcoming with details, then again maybe they couldn't have been. None of us know what is going on behind their doors. Perhaps they didn't even know how many they would get in each wave. Either way, it boils down to people jumping to conclusions, then other people treating those conclusions as fact. People are stupid, haters gonna hate. Such is life.
  9. Also isn't ingoreing what bulls do to people in Spain?
  10. It was a joke. I shall next time suggest that they install a spell-checker and learn how to use it. Is that prosaic enough?
  11. +5 Light Side Points Good to see someone manning up and being big enough to admit what a lot of the complainers will be thinking come invite time.
  12. Public service announcement: It is spelt 'queue'. Please adjust your brains accordingly.
  13. Curse your semantics sir! True enough, they would seem to be within their rights to do so. Somehow, though, considering the endless nerdrage spawned by this fairly sensible process, I doubt they'd shoot themselves so obviously in the foot.
  14. Upto five days means at most five days. They never promised everyone a full five days. So no, it was not hype. Next thread please.
  15. Many Bothans? Q: Who was controlling the firing of the Death Star laser at the Battle of Endor?
  16. Admittedly it is a chore that I won't be definitely able to hook up with my friends and start at the same time, but surely the fact that you get early access at all should be considered a plus? Also, if you were that concerned about playing with friends from the start, you could have co-ordinated your pre-orders. It's not like they ever said they would tell us exactly when we would get in. I'm not saying that they shouldn't tell us, or even that we shouldn't have already been told (obviously that would be preferable), but the information we have been given should be enough for any rational person to be able to go by. People just need to be patient and less self-centred.
  17. I appreciate your point, but the issue here is as much your own assumption regarding the implementation of the EGA as it is any perceived mistake by Bioware. And if it was such a bad decision, people have had many months to register their complaints. Bit late now, don't you think? Hey playa. Indeed they do not. However, as another thread has pointed out, the more important ones generally don't work the night shift. So the people making it possible to support new waves of invites have gone home for the night. Unless you want people being invited all day round, and the severs crashing every few hours due to a lack of dedicated staff. Admittedly I am making many assumptions here, but they are fairly sound in my opinion (but then they would be ). Also, fool's a bit rude...
  18. This. My apologies that I don't have my finger on the pulse of the community on a moment to moment basis. I shall refrain from posting topics that are behind the zeitgeist in the future.
  19. Happy I could help! And indeed, I only posted this because I felt sickened by the childishness abounding today.
  20. Fair enough. Just thought it was a piece of information that had been lost in the landslide of silliness. And Metsuro, unless I'm being dense, my post explains that there has been information about it. Preorder earlier = get in earlier. Is it that complex that you need so much more detail?
  21. I would like to draw your attention to the email sent out by Bioware on the 21st July 2011. In other words, since the moment they said you were allowed to preorder, the staggered entry into EGA has been on the table. So grow the **** up, stop whining like spoiled children, and be pleased that some time soon, in the next few days, you'll be immersed in this awesome game. And you'll be in before John McNotafanboi. Take some solace in that, even if you can't show your epic purple lutes to all the noobs come the 20th. Additionally, give the poor bastards a break. They've been working on the game for years, it's not even come out yet, and already you're acting like they are evil just for going home at the end of the day. Hardly seems fair. Would you rather they just didn't come in tomorrow?
