  1. Yes, but had Bioware had any experience with MMOs, or even well enough managed to learn from the developement of almost EVERY other MMO released in the last few years, they would have prevented this from happening. This could have been done either by merging the low pop servers, or offering targeted transfers from low pop servers onto medium pop servers. I can promise you that this would have saved quite a few people from unsubbing. I would definitely consider it a reasonable reaction if you had rerolled twice already due to low server population, to roll on one with too large a population because you don't want to make the same mistake again.
  2. This is starting to remind me more and more of WAR
  3. They decided to nerf contribution of Expertise. I'm gonna guess this is what's causing it. Expertise now contributes inequally to DPS, Dmg. Reduction and Healing then before the patch. Dps being almost twice as much as healing I think, and Dmg. Reduction in between. I find this really odd, because I'm pretty sure in all the posts in the PTS claiming how healers would become useless with these nerfs,(in pvp) devs responded that "under the hood" or changes to game mechanic would correct this. Seems like someone didn't read the memo, or mixed up > with <.
  4. Any game that does OPvP without 3 factions is just setting itself up to fail. I seriously have a hard time understanding why designers do this when it's such an elegant, basic solution to a reoccuring problem. I guess I can kinda understand it for SWTOR because they had a hard time designing 3 factions. This was also obviously tacked on, because it seems to be becoming a standard for AAA+ MMO's these days to have some worthless OPvP that doesn't work rather then none at all.
  5. Nerf singularity instead of everything around it when this is clearly what is causing the high damage of the spec. Move down Unremitting into T2 of vigilance. This would make the build more even in its performance against players of varying proficiency. Tbh I think Focus build already has a clear profile as the "Force and mobility" tree. If they were to nerf singularity and possibly buff the damage of the other force attacks with a high tier talent slightly, I think this would help in defineing it further.
  6. The lava boss (Gharj) should not be AoE intensive. The melee can avoid his AoE attack and should do so if the healer is having trouble keeping them up. Adds should be AoE'd down fast and they don't do any noticeable damage. As far as I remember his enrage timer is quite generous. You don't need to be super fast going down the plattforms on SoA. Also, everyone able to heal himself should do so in this phase. AoE heals are not smart, so standing in one with full HP might deny someone else who needs it the heal. The only unavoidable damage on Karagga is the tunneling drill and the initial damage on those vortexes. The vortexes only hit ranged though, so if you are mostly melee, there shouldn't be more then 2 people hit by the initial tick and than the 2 people rooted when the vortexes "explode". The mouse droid needs to be killed before they reach their targets. This damage is supposed to be prevented. If your raid is dying to the mouse droids then it's your DPS fault. Partially I guess Bioware is to blame for making all encounters favour ranged, some extremely much.
  7. Levelling a BH (lvl47) atm I definitely do not agree. I thought the Guardian story felt extremely cheesy with all the "you are the chosen one" crap. Also everyone around you is seemingly completely incompetent, although I think this is a general Republic issue. Apart from this I think your posts contain many valid points. Guardians are definitely viable for tanking in Ops, where single target tanking is generally where things can go wrong. Both of the Defensive CD's are really strong for PvE in comparison to what the other tanks get.
  8. Keep in mind that the original post was made about 2 weeks after launch. The majority were just getting to 50 by this time.
  9. Even if this is true, it's still bad design. Bad design that makes no sense, other than that the classes were originally not designed to be mirrors and then they forgot to change this to.
  10. Yup and then Blizzard discovered that they could make more money catering to a larger crowd. And "hardcore" became the minority in MMO's. OT: Think it largely depends on server. On my server there is a large amounts of Jedi Guardians rep side and therefore a lot of potential tanks. Healers are usually the most wanted.
  11. Those shouldn't be high temps for a GPU. Or it wouldn't be for a nVidia one. I'll have to check for the AMD he has. The temp for the CPU seems rather high though having taken a look at AMDs official homepage. If it's not OC'd you may want to make sure that the heatsink is correctly attached. Edit: Temps for GPU are not high.
  12. In the SS from the fleet the temp is at 62 and GPU useage at 36%. In the SS from the WZ, the temp is at 54. If his GPU useage had been high during the WZ and he then tabbed out, even if the displayed GPU useage was low, the temp would still be high. Obviously temperature also depends on how long it's been running and ventilation of chassi, etc. Point still stands, graph displays GPU useage over time, which is way to low if he's getting poor FPS. I still recommend he checks out the two threads I linked two posts up.
  13. Which is why he is displaying GPU usage over time. Also, looking at the screen from the WZ, he has just finnished it and tabbed out. If the GPU was working properly it would not be down to a temp of 54 so quickly.
  14. I think your CPU temp is a bit high, (Not sure about temps for Bulldozer though) but I don't think it's high enough to throttle the system. Definitely look into the threads I linked in my previous post. Like I said, known issue with some systems that BW doesn't seem to give a **** about/denies exists. If you don't wanna try the workaround suggested, I don't think there is much you can do. Since you do have 16gigs of RAM, setting up a RAM drive shouldn't be a problem.
  15. If it does you could always turn it off in the audio options. I don't really have audio on anyway tbh, since I mostly listen to music or talk in TS/vent.
  16. Lol. Your CPU is not responsible for your poor performance. Bulldozer should handle it no probs. You could check temps, but my bet is that you are having the same issues people wrote about in the customer support threads that BW still ignores. Some people solved it by creating a RAM-drive. Some people can't solve it. I'll see if I can find the thread about it. Edit: 2 Links to threads containing more information. Thread 1 and Thread 2 Check Temps foir your GPU and CPU first. If they are normal, check those threads.
  17. Technically seen he did say "easy to see coming". To be fair though, MS does have a longer range than Force sweep and it is therefore easier to move out of its range.
  18. I guess you are referring to PT's then? I can't speak for them since mine is only level 43 and I don't really pvp with it, but all of the listed specs are probably the least dangerous DPS classes for the JK as well.
  19. Which is why I don't really care to much about the 4% HP of the protector buff.
  20. Most people seem to love the IA one. I find teh BH one to be good to, although it gets a bit boring in the middle for a few levels.
  21. Resolve. Learning about the game and your own abilities is generally a good idea. Especially before PvPing.
  22. He dsoes make a good point tbh. I think it would greatly add to the enjoyment you get out of this class if you hear a "Weeeeee" when you use guardian leap. Also they should change the animation so it looks more like a ragdoll getting pulled to your target. That would look hillarious.
