  1. Still this is an mmo, ie a social game...so yes you will have less benefits unless you are social a bit, have a guild etc. thats the game idea pretty much. I do agree with you on the FPs but still you could get someone to buff your party, it is a conveniance. What i would like to see thou is that they made it avaliable as an unlock for cash, that could solve the problems for solo ppl, like they did with other stuff (races for instance). If the amount of cash is high enough then its up to the person to decide, grind or reroll alts.
  2. Tbh, as long as you have an active guild, you shouldnt have to waste time on searching for members to do stuff. It may not be for everyone but thats actually one of the best ways to solve the problem in the meantime, guildruns. This game has tons of content that has to be coordinated (hardmodes etc) so without teamspeak or whatever, well i can say i would never pug some of the hardmodes/ops. Its just a guild focused game at the moment, and for me coming from games like wow its kind of nice to do content that at the same time requires you to be a bit social once in a while instead of just going into an instance with a pug barely speaking to eachother just to farm loot. MMOs are supposed to be a social experience as well, there are plenty of good single player games out there for ppl who do not want the social bit. Having said that, they are working on a lfg tool for heroic missions and FPs so give em time and suggestions to develop it first and take if from there. Since they have their mind set on serverwide only, is there a point at the moment to argue around crosserver queues?
  3. I would suggest next time, just one of you releases and runs back to revive the rest. Its no biggie, as long as you have 1 person in the instance (even if dead) you can run back in get ppl up and loot.
  4. Probably been already posted, but the search engine on the forums is so horrid i gave up after half an hour browsing. I would really like to craft something useful at lvl 50 so that others that dont run Ops can get weaker lvl 50 purples (with 51 mods), so they can get quicker into doing hardmodes if they wish at some point. But i cannot because they are mostly bop (apart from belt and bracers) I have armormech and what im talking about are the recepies i get in Ops. When you actually get these recepies you probably already have columni or rataka gear, or atleast tionese ones that are on par with the ones you can craft. Not to mention that the required materials come from the last bosses in Ops and are bound to you. Therefore preventing you from trading those materials. That means that i need to gear up, to go through the whole Ops to get a crafting component for something that i at that point really have no use of (neither my companions to really). I just feel like armormech is a HUGE waste of time apart from the 2 rataka pieces that i justily can craft for myself only, that is fine and how it should be with every crafting skillset. Please make these craftable armor pieces with 51 mods in them boe so that there is actually a point to craft them, instead of having the recepies there for the heck of it. or Atleast make the crafting recepies and the crafting components that drop in Ops tradeable.
  5. Please do that for commandos I think almost all if not all autocannon designs are pretty awful, i want to use one of those nice shiney rifles.
  6. I mean we have star killers, we have enormous spaceships etc. so a not possible ingamereality angle wont work here. I bet you can make any speeder shell go as fast as you want. The issue here is that i want to use my rank 1 speeder cause it looks nicer with rank 3 speed that i bought, and into that can be incorporated all the necessary payments to upgrade all your speeders to spec. That would be an rp, design, or whatever you want to call it solution. Your argument has no ground whatsoever.
  7. To me it is kinda strange they put in a flirt option in a game like this, where it fills almost no role whatsoever in the development of the questline but creates alot(?) of controversy. Perhaps creating controversy was the whole point. We have profanity filters in games, that i think are completly unnecessary perhaps in an effort to hold on to old victorianesque values, but i digress. Since i can turn my profanity filter off and not be bothered with it for the rest of the game, its all cool. The question gamewise is then, what if alot of people get bothered with another type of dialogue, or for that matter with large parts of the dialogue, should they make that part of the dialogue toggable? Because then it can become a gamewise interfering solution where you miss out on loot or exp etc because the dialogue options you can choose become very limited. The dialogue mind you isnt having a huge impact on the outcome of your missions anyway, but lets pretend it does. On the other hand, making dialogue completly pointless (the outcome stays the same whatever you say) is in my opinion an option that would bring back fastscroll to the quest texts. So not a bright looking option for this game. What people tend to forget since it becomes a big part of their lives (for some strange reason ) is that this is a GAME. This game is not about the real world out there (you know behind your curtains), its about this world in game. Dont take it, and for that part yourself to seriously or you will get easily offended all your life. You will not change any aspects of our culture through this game, it was not ment for that. If you want to change your culture, or the world culture, then there are way better mediums to do it in then this game. Use the game experience to perhaps explore something you wouldnt do in your everyday life, because thats what its there for, i mean how often do you get to try and shoot up some pesky imperials? Also how else will you get to have new experiences if not through media that actually have no other impact on the physical world more then perhaps spreading an idea and your wallet? I think people are smart enough to see through dialogue choices as something thats only there, while holding on to their own values. I just hope that everyone learns to question their own values, but i digress again. Please thou, dont make the devs into morality/politically correctness/etc. cops more then they already need to be because of most of our societies. Leave some creative freedom. Also the old money rules argument...
  8. Ditto, please let us atlease remove the vocal unit on that one... Perhaps being able to change that droid for some other one can be an idea for future sip upgrades, considering it has no story or affection rating.
  9. Bump Its a very nice idea already in other mmo's, it should so much be here too.
  10. I think the green/purple colours are there pretty much to visually distinguish healing from damage. Even if the animations vary a bit, its nice to know when someone is throwing a heal or a damage skill in pvp (its then easier to single out and take down pesky healers). Granted that for example sorcs have a really less visible animation then the yellow glow of the sages. I play a commando and if i even dare to hammershot once withing the sightrange of the opposing team, i get allout jumped. The difference being with the bountyhunter is that their hammer shot equivalent is pretty much invisible compared to my ultrabeam ala ghostbusters, but going into the disparity between sith and republic side graphics wise is a completly different thread
  11. I have always wondered why there is a limit on those things anyway. What i would do in your case is look up your ignore list and remove the people, whos names you cant recall, from the list to free up some space for the new and active ones. Id imagine thats what the devs thought you should do be doing, but if imo its not a very good solution The trolls are usually not very longlived on servers with inserver only pop for pvp and instancing, or they actually stop being offensive. Now if there are really alot of them (that you cant ignore all the active ones at once), well id make some reports to the gm's or whathaveyou so they get their eyes up and start moderating the chats. Hydian Way, rep side (europe server) has a pretty nice community =)
  12. I would love that to, considering im sitting on a nice machine with everything maxed out atm. Althou in world pvp (granted its not alot of it going on now), wouldnt it be giving some players an advantage at spotting the enemy? What i mean is if the max setting would require a really huge leap in hardware from what is the 50% (the current one that we have). Having a set max distance that most ppl can handle would be more fair, on the other hand having a lower setting for those that cant should really be there. Or am i missing the point terrain vs. player spawn distance?
  13. Just let this thread die out ppl (says me posting on here and bumping it up ) This person wont get that its all about paying or not thats the only real option. Hope you find some more cashwise worthwhile game out there, i havent tbh.
  14. I agree that a set guild tax for the whole guild is a pretty bad option due to the guilds only taking on members to swell their bank account. What i propose is instead a volountary system where each guildmember can toggle tax on and off by themselves (perhaps then also set the rate). I do not really have problems with money in this game so perhaps donating would be ok, but tbh i would like the option for the game to automatically put away part of my income to the guildbank instead of me doing it on a semi regular basis. That way there will be a steady trickle to the bank without forcing anyone to contribute and without the bank running suddenly dry because someone forgot to donate. Also that has the resemblance of paying your bills on time, that i really suck at. This should anyways never exclude an option of being able to donate larger sums when needed, this would be a way to say cover repair costs for guildies but perhaps not to finance a battleship. I am really just one of those lazy ppl that do not wanna have to remember to give away chunks of my credits regularly, i want the game to do it for me Just tick on and go.
  15. Great work with all the suggestions, the GTN is pretty useless in its current form. What im hoping thou is that the GTN becomes more viable endgame. I think its not only unused because of the horrid interface, but because there is nothing really interesting to buy when you hit 50. I get that is a content issue, so another thread probably, but just wanted to make an extra bump because i hate the interface with a vengance.
