  1. The summed up amount of operation bosses and flashpoints would sound considerable if we weren't farming them for the past three years. For all my loyalty to the company and the game I'm genuinely perplexed. But then I imagine the amount of active players who never completed that content far exceeds the number of veterans who did. I can't see how this will improve the already crumbled endgame interest among my guild.
  2. I'm quite certain he will have a significant place in the story. Just hoping he won't die prior the KOTFE events (or afterwards). Ideally he'd be a companion option, but we are already getting a new confirmed Smuggler companion so unlikely... Everything he's been doing so far is the extreme opposite of cowardice. Not to mention the player character owes their life to him on several occasions.
  3. Very promising, eagerly looking forward to it all! Also this.
  4. Greetings, I'd like to expand on the Hard Mode progression recruitment - we currently can accommodate 1 Tank, 1(2) Healers, 2 DPS, see below for the details. We expect players with general awareness, knowledge of their class mechanics, ambition to always perform exceptionally and above all friendly, stable attitude and team spirit. The schedule for progression is Friday, Sunday and Monday starting at 19:00 CET, duration of 3 hours. Two 8m teams run simultaneously. Wednesday is a casual ops day when we go after classic content usually in 16m. We use Parsec during operations. We use a modified DKP system for loot distribution. We seek the following: One Tank - Any class. Optimized gear rating 192, defensive stats suited for the respective class, no Endurance bloating. Comfortable threat generation above 3k on Operations dummy sustained for 2 minutes without using taunts and ops debuffs on the dummy. One (two if exceptional) Healer - Mercenary or Sorcerer, Optimized gear rating 192, stats suited for the respective class. Able to deliver 3.5k HPS of which 80%+ effective. Two DPS - Any class with the condition that for you "fun" constitutes in maximizing the potential of your class and do not play specs which are generally underperforming. Gear rating of 192 optimized for your spec. Able to sustain 3k DPS on ops dummy for 2min without applying ops debuffs on it. Please note that the above values are minimums, you may be delivering above 4k dps, for example. That is to be expected and will be preferred instead of a 3k dps value. Candidates will be welcomed on a trial. If interested or if you have any questions, please contact our officers: Haderach, Atara, Agvar, Azula, Raiko, Ixalia, Zerianna, Beckert. Alternatively you are welcome to apply directly on our website at http://www.Nestinar.eu Of course regular members are always welcome, the above requirements only concern the HM progression teams.
  5. It feels to me another production took Star Wars models and put them into its scenes. They apparently forgot the lightsabers, however. I'm still looking forward to the movie, but the teaser gave me bad hints, can't avoid comparing it to the Revenge of the Sith teaser, which is light years ahead in my opinion. Or comparing it to something closer - the SWTOR cinematics feel more Star Wars than The Force Awakens teaser. Just because they inserted the Millenium Falcon, TIE Fighters and X-Wings doesn't give it the soul. I am not sure how much merit the new film will have on its own, other than using nostalgia icons in every possible scene it can.
  6. I don't see how PvP players being able to infinitely gather conquest points through repeatable warzone objectives is fair. PvP guilds already have massive advantage for doing what they are normally doing anyway - PvP. An endgame raiding guild doesn't even get recognition for completing Hard and Nightmare mode operations. And let's not even start to compare the organization and preparation effort and the time required to actually complete such an operation to being rewarded for a 15 minutes warzone even if you lose it and have performed abysmally. Unless I am misunderstanding the Conquest events and in fact they are a PvP centric feature with some side elements.
  7. Ow, I demand a for subscriber since day 1 too! Been in the first wave of Early Access and in Beta before that.
  8. Just joining the crowd that likes the zoomed out version. Would be best if it is optional view that you switch to via a button or make it completely free to zoom in and out as desired.
  9. Being one of the affected initially I can now finely access the website and the game.
  10. Updated the original post mainly with changes to our recruitment process. All classes are welcome. As a side note I'd mention Nestinar is prepared for the coming of guild capital ships with a massive amount of credits spread among few bankers and the guild bank. Just in case you are wondering whether or not we will have the best possible ship money can buy on day 1 - we will.
  11. We are currently in high demand for TANKS. We can offer positions for two tanks, at least one of them must have extensive experience in that role, preferably in TOR, if not then experience from similar games is also welcome. --~#~-- Greetings and thank you for your interest. Participation in RP and operations is not obligatory, we expect, however, that a member would be interested to get involved in guild activities to their liking. The choices include heavy/casual RP, progression/training operations, crafting, groups for flashpoints/starfighter/pvp/heroics, socialising on our forum or in-game - discussing the game/guild, offering insight, etc. An example of a person not meeting these expectations is someone who logs, interacts with nobody and later logs out and neither does he/she check our forum. If you're not that type of player, you should have no concerns. If you have further questions you're welcome to ask, additional contact information you can find in the first post.
  12. Updated the original post. Officer names, operation days and progress information in particular. You can check the details of our operations progress here: http://www.nestinar.eu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=1687 We have cleared Dread Fortress and Dread Palace in hard mode and are preparing to tackle the Nightmare Modes when they are released. New members are welcome! - If you're interested in the highest mode difficulty right away, we'll be expecting that you come prepared regarding gear, experience and attitude. - If you don't have such a rich experience or haven't gathered the top gear yet, we'll help you learn and collect items via our training teams. Currently we have spots for DPS and Healers. Exceptional tank applications will not be declined.
  13. Korriban has been established in the lore for many years and a great amount of books, comics, card games, video games and other products refer to it as the Sith homeworld. In my opinion such a massive retcon would need a very serious reason to justify it otherwise it is an unnecessary compromising of heavily established canon.
  14. *turns on a portable fan to blow in his face* The heat here...
  15. It's this time of the year again, our festive rancors have arrived! Make sure to check our website, they may grant you a gift (although it's not likely, they are quite angry with those hats they got to wear).
  16. Hats down for Alexander Freed. I remember him from the pre-launch events. He has that genius weirdness aura. If I could make a choice I'd have him write all future content for the game.
  17. Customization like colours and number display aside... I need a UI that differentiates my ability procs from all the other buffs I have, at the very least have them always on the top or bottom row. Optimal would be to "free up" the proc icons so I can reposition them anywhere and increase their size. Furthermore, a way to differentiate my dots/debuffs on enemies from the dots/debuffs of other players. Possibly again to be able to move them elsewhere. Of anything else this is the only thing that I feel will significantly improve my experience and smooth the gameplay - being able to watch the fight instead of staring at a large number of icons.
  18. If guild stability and establishment interest you, I kindly invite you to have a look here: Nestinar
  19. I'd personally prefer a redesign of the starports so they feel more dynamic, different from each other and with several hangar bays. Combine that with heavy customization options for our starships. In my opinion better than player housing and would eventually cost less. However, I support the sentiment below:
  20. While I am glad to see the issues with spike damage being addressed, as an Assassin tank I feel very sad to learn self healing is going to be removed. I play that class and spec because it is most distinctive among the tanks, self healing is a major part of that distinction. There is already the tanks with passive damage reduction and if I wanted that playstyle I would play them. A simple way around, the way I see it, is to change the self healing not to arrive at random but rather something like: "If you're to take an attack that would bring you below --% health, you receive a shield that absorbs --% of the damage and heals you for --% of the absorbed amount" or "If you're to take an attack that would bring you below --% health, you're first healed for --% of the impending damage" The percentages can be adjusted and coordinated with a passive cooldown, thus when the self heal is not ready you compensate with other abilities. Both the self healing and shielding flavours of the Shadow/Assassin are preserved. Of course a focused developer attention could bring a more elegant solution. My suggestion is just an example of dealing with the issue without compromising with one of the main attributes of the class. Removing self heals and simply adding passive mitigation feels like a shortcut to me at the expense of the class' uniqueness.
