  1. if you don't care much about the story or selections, use space bar to get through the dialogue of quests. that will cut alot of time.
  2. I agree, the GCD animations are a bit tough to tell when they are actually over.
  3. no lag here. i did notice a difference tho. how the items stick to the mouse cursor.
  4. they do it for the best time that suits them. they are not going to have someone in the middle of the night go out just to suit you, or have separate maintenance scheduled just to suit you.
  5. i will roll what i want to roll on. if you are lucky enough to get it, good for you, but don't bash me if i get the luck of the draw.
  6. here we go again, boys and girls (notice i did not put ladies and gents.....)
  7. this has been done many times. apples and oranges.
  8. u blame bioware for most going sith/imp? pathetic.
  9. if your quitting, then quit. we don't need to hear your whiny b*******.
  10. profanity block and ignore are wonderful tools.
  11. it ain't an ATI issue. i have nvidia and my issues are the same (haven't been in warzones yet, but on the fleet, horrid FPS). it has to be the graphics engine they are using that is screwing this up for people.
  12. my graphic woes were fixed for my laptop by simply turning the graphic settings to high, then back to low. seems like the game (on at least some systems from what i have read) is installed with high graphic settings, even though it shows as low in preferences. not sure if this had been fixed, is being looked at, or was just a funky rare glitch for some.
  13. I have not heard of the game not liking any card(s) in particular. what may have been referenced is onboard graphic adapters (built onto the motherboard). MMO's seem to not like those too much, since the power to run the game's graphics comes from the CPU as well instead of just the GPU (since the main system memory is shared between the system and the graphics).
  14. figured as much. i would just think that if they put something in game that is this much a part of it, it would give you the ability to get a bit of a better reward. ah, well. live and learn.
  15. check your key bindings (preferences, bottom tab of window, not sure which section on left). also, be sure you are not accidentally pressing the windows key on your keyboard.
  16. the only thing i can see is the condition of your equipped items (i.e. armor, weapons, etc) is diminished. now by how much, i am not sure, but once the condition reaches zero (condition goes down anyway from being used in combat) the item is useless, until it gets repaired (at any vendor) and it can always be repaired back to it's full, original condition (number/number listed on the item) as long as you have enough credits to repair the item.
  17. and, from what i am seeing, the stuff you can get for either light or dark (atleast in the 20's) does not realy seem to be any better than other stuff you can get (from drops, or missions)
  18. a ranged damage dealer (Imperial Agent, and when advanced class comes up, then go Sniper) is probably the easiest to get into since, when your doing instances (flashpoints) and Raids, then all you have to do is stand back and mash buttons, pretty much. and your away from the action, so as not to accidentally get targeted by the enemy. all you have to do is watch around you periodically for what people call pats (patrols) where mobs walk in a certain pattern in a given area. if your feeling risky and what to give it a go, a melee DPS (damage per second) class may be a fit. marauder for Sith warrior would be ok. or an assasin, as you have both melee and ranged attacks and could shuffle between the 2 to see which one you like. another is sorcerer (sith inquisitor's advanced class, one of em anyway) where you can heal yourself, you can try healing a go if you wanted, and it has a ranged skill tree, if you didn't want to go full on melee ranged. hopefully i did not confuse you too badly....
  19. when your at the minimum (especially the required, not recommended), then you will have to run things on the lower end of the graphical spectrum (I have to have my laptop set all graphics at low, still looks pretty good). also, from what your description of your graphics adapter (does not sound like a card, sound like it's shared memory with the system memory) it does not seem your computer may not be up to snuff (on board graphics are notorious for working badly when it comes to games, especially MMO's). if your running a desktop, then you will need to get a graphics card (if your computer takes one, a PCIe x16 slot available is what graphics cards run in now a-days) and your power supply will more than likely need to be upgraded for a more powerful one (most pre-built desktops today come with a 300W power supply. I would recommend at least an upgrade to a 500W PS). if your on a laptop, unfortunately your stuck with what you have (unless, if it is indeed a laptop, you have a swappable graphics adapter, and there are not very many, if any) and the only way to work with that is a new one (recommend one with a dedicated graphics card/adapter, not onboard).

    SWG: Lowca

EVILJUDE from lowca here. was in too many guilds to count (DJK (during CU) and MPI (during NGE, yes, i stomached that for a bit) just to name a couple). also had toons named Garwick (been so long, not sure if that is the right spelling, lol) and Kree'chell.
  21. they probably say it because it's not their type of game. the cinematics that always come out before games release (they call them "trailers") always hype up the game, then when it comes out and it looks nothing like the "trailers" there is rage, disappointment, and hatred, causing people to lash out. in the strictest sense, yes, it is an MMO. is it a great game? no. was it what i expected, no, but i did not hold my breath for it to be so, since most popular MMO's are modeled after WoW, because they are made for the casual player and those that say it's not an MMO say so because they are hardcore players (those that need a real challenge in the game, which I can only think of one game that has ever been like that. but I do enjoy playing this game, because it gives me a chance to play a star wars MMO again.
  22. there never was an alpha profession. many a player proved that. just most wanted to be catered to and they got their wish (the CU, then the NGE because people still were not happy), and the eventual downfall of the best MMO ever to date. the game company did not provide the content because that was the point. even said it on the box. it was a sandbox game, which people either can't understand the concept, need direction in a game, or just want the infamous "I win" button. as i have stated before (here and on other forums). you play games. you experience SWG.
  23. both TOR and SWG (pre-cu) do/did well with what they do. i too agree that this is an apples to oranges comparison. sandbox vs story line. freedom vs direction. hardcore player vs casual player. player content vs game content.
  24. I played. was the first game that truly introduced me to online/multiplayer. was in a guild for a year or 2 for it. I still keep in touch with the friends i met from that guild. the guild I am in for TOR is made up of mostly people from an online community i met about 7-8 years ago and still keep in contact with today (gaming community site and Facebook)
