  1. I still don't get why stats go down when upscaling. I'm pretty much into the stories now but I still love some occasional PVP and cannot comprehend why crit, alacrity and accuracy go down. Losing 2.9% of alacrity despite the actual stat number is higher 1509 vs 1590, while accuracy remains almost the same in numbers but actually -3.4% and crit just goes gown. THIS IN NOT AN UPSCALE. https://i.imgur.com/8mMKm94.png I don't see the point of doing anything upscaled or downscaled at this point in the game. The only option is to get asap to lvl80 and then do only lvl 80 content.
  2. https://i.imgur.com/1Jmd51S.png When the stats go down it's called upscaling? Stats just go out of the window unless it's level 80 in level 80 content. Quite funny that scaled down stats might be better than scaled up for the same character/equip. Veteran chapters(story ones are still super easy)? Upscaling from level 75 to 80 while doing flashpoint with friends? Flashpoints downscaling? Pvp upscaling? i.e. stats are just a non-factor for everything apart level 80 character in level 80 content and that is slightly a larger problem rather than 10s for a planet. It's not about a planet or 10 seconds there. It's about a system as a whole.
  3. As of 7.0.2 presence, accuracy and alacrity are still getting scaled down and level sync is marked as under investigation, but I'd like to and my two cents on the topic. I'm not sure if devs are monitoring this kind of threads but I'd like to add my feedback as a returning player and a general feeling of confusion about this. I've played the game around release and recall times when level 50 character could run through low level flashpoints with ease while solo content was quite challenging while level upping. I've got back to the game into 6.3.2 and really liked level sync idea, sure old origin stories were fairly easy as well as chapters on veteran mode, yet it was feeling okay-ish. Tertiary stats not scaling gave some options for customization and optimization even in low-level content. Now in 7.0.x it feel weird: 1. Upscaling to level 80 in flashpoints from level 75 (and not only, but let's take level75 character as a starting point) messes the stats up and actually downscales everything apart of Mastery, this is a mess and is counter intuitive. This kind of upscale doesn't feel like upscale at all. At least stats are untouched if level 80 player goes into level 80 content. 2. Downscaling feels random since sometimes stats are higher for a downscaled to level 50 content character than upscaled to level 80 the same character. In general now it feels like there no point in doing anything apart level 80 content by level 80 character. I don't see an option to post an image, so a written example: Leve 75 character in upscaled to level 80 flashpoint gains Mastery (11,843 > 13,459) and hence a bit of extra bonus damage and loses everything else: Endurance (16,525 > 16,424) Power (9,380 > 8,396) Accuracy (110.04% > 106.22%) Crit Chance (40.42% > 29.45%) Alacrity (8.62% > 5.29%) This doesn't feel like and upscale to level 80. Downscale to Ilum level 50: Accuracy (110.05 > 106.72) // please note, that it is actually higher than the same character in scaled up to level 80 content Crit chance (40.42 > 26.66) // okay, let it be Alacrity (8.62% > 5.8%) // yet again higher that in upscale to level 80 And I'm not even touching PVP scaling here. Summary: current level sync system feels counter-intuitive and messy and pushes away from playing anything apart level 80 content by level 80 player. At least for me as a returning player who wants to catch up on stories (and try different paths) with occasional PVP activities.
  4. I'm doing that, and I already wrote: AB+HS - AB+BS on sage = abosrbed -> absorbed +400 damage. Or 2.6k HS on sniper, and 1.5k BS. With only one pvp item I have absolutely nothing to do in WZs... hm, not entirely true, coz at least I still can get 6-7 medals.
  5. The problem was in combining pvp gear and high burst damage of the operatives. Without pvp gear burst damage isn't so high. And after the nerf it is inferior. To get back at normal dps we need to work really hard to get pvp gear.
  6. Wait until you get to 50. There you'll be either constantly owned or hiding and preying on weak and being unable to do much damage.
  7. I have only one champ implant and no other pvp gear. It is now a hell in WZs. I even got owned by a sniper (never ever happened before), coz he shoots me for 2.5-3k. I hit him with ab+bs 1600 max. Okay, he had full resolve, coz I forgot to strip points from Jarring Strike. Even better. Attacking sage - AB+HS -> absorbed -> AB+BS -> absorbed -> 400 dmg -> AWESOME! Nerfing AB was a very bad move. Of cause every operative who have full pvp gear doesn't care about nerf. But fresh 50s suck hard now.
  8. All classes are OP, coz PVP gear makes them OP.
  9. I think it'll be hard to implement. A lot of checks needs to be done when someone enters a queue to WZ. And the waiting time will increase dramatically (at least for Empire side).
  10. He is right to some point, that getting some items must be hard, but on the other hand - if he is so damn right, then he and you are the whiners that are crying for class nerfs. In other words, you (btw, BW too) fail to see that expertise is causing some stupid nerfs to classes, operatives are only a start, cause the problem scales more with them than any other class.
  11. Of cause everybody thinks that classes need nerfs, but in fact the only thing that needs nerf is Expertise.
  12. I'm not rerolling. I'll play my agent even after the nerf, cause I wanted to play agent since the class was announced. Yes, it will be hard until I get to at least champion gear and biochem to 400 (for now I have a stupid armstech), but then it will be good.
  13. But I agree, Expertise and Biochem makes to much difference even between the same classes. About upcoming nerf to operatives: level 50 fully geared crits me 6k, same specced, but w/o pvp gear, I can crit him max 3.6. Also the same problem is with other classes, but in case of ops it is more scaled.
  14. Hahaha, say this to agents and smugglers Hahaha, say this to agents and smugglers [2]
  15. Sorry man, but this video proves nothing. Better try to zoom in on your buffs and gear rather than damage. But wait, you already have all the gear need and probably biochem, so you doesn't give a fck about someone who just got to 50 or leveling up. Nobody wants to look at the roots of the problem.
  16. Good post and ideas, but I think a slight nerf to a Jarring Strike needed. Also, I think the problem is more in pvp gear and buffs rather than a crit damage, AP, etc.
  17. I bet you got to 50 before 1.1 and now you are in full champion/battlemaster.... It seems that BW has the same policy - screw everyone who isn't in champion/battlemaster gear. I agree with Jarring Strike stun nerf, but nerf to AB and HS - that is constant shagging every concealment operative until they get to 50 and pvp gear.
  18. Please nerf the storyline it so damn good, comparing to inquisitors one!!!
  19. nice video, comment about the gear in the start says it all. As I've said, problem not in the class, but in idiotic pvp gear system.
  20. NERF the damn pvp gear and biochem. Operative in pvp gear and stims lands HS for 4.7k on me. I'm the same operative but without pvp gear (just hit level 50) - max crit on him 3k. After the nerf it will be like his 4k crits and mine 2k - it will be freaking awesome. This game has nothing to do with the classes being unbalanced main problems are PVP gear and BIOCHEM. It was most unfortunate idea to clone idiotic pvp gear system.
  21. Of cause BW can gather statistics, but it looks like they are gathering and implementing fixes without deep analysis. Nobody cares what will happen to operatives in level 50 bracket, especially ones who just got to 50 and without pvp gear. Nerfing classes instead of nerfing expertise and that damn pvp gear - that's awesome idea. BTW, I've wanted to play IA since the calsses were revealed, so not everyone is rolling operative to kick some asses. Wait until that bunch who want to kick asses get to 50 and get disappointed there and they'll return to their previous classes.
