  2. Well, we need to work on our questions now, it seems. I like the Vigi changes, but I think the tree needs some cleaning up. There are way too many skill points that you have to dump into it, for both pvp and pve. I still feel a little too squishy in pvp... especially against other dps classes. If I'm in melee range, I should be able to wail on a ranged dps, but I'm not. PvE, we are much better, but still not in line for dps in progression raiding.
  3. I was going to say this as well. It seems that every new content expansion will see a requisite cartel market push for vanity items. This game has been sliding down the slope ever since the idea of the cartel market came about. Just like STO and every other game model that uses a cash shop to support the game and not a monthly fee, eventually, in order to compete, you will need to buy CM items.
  4. Agreed. Artifice has been dead since the day the CM went live. End-game quality crystals with a level restriction 40 levels below the ones artifice can craft of the same quality basically ended our only real source of income, and it only got worse with the collections unlocks. Yeah, there are hilts... but again, we can only craft the same ones that everyone can get with the end-game gear grind, and not the pvp ones. I, like you, really try to enjoy this game. EAware is making it hard to do that. I have subscribed since day one, and my current sub expires on 4-5, the day after ESO's full launch. I want to play both, but if SWTOR can't make up some ground by that time (almost 2 months) and show us that this game is more than the cash cow we are seeing now, I'll probably not be renewing. It's sad really. They made such a big deal about using this game engine, yet what has it brought us? I don't see any of the features they were hooting about back in the early press releases (like live updates/downtime-less maintenance, automagic optimization of assets, etc.) were ever realized in the way they thought it would. Bottom line, they took an alpha engine, made it a WoW clone, added in some story-line elements with fancy voiceovers, slapped Star Wars on the front and here we are today.
  5. They just need to remove the restrictions on warzones and flashpoints, period. Increasing the playerbase that is able to do this things can only help.
  6. It was entertaining to play.... so I can't imagine it would be any less watching, perhaps even more entertaining, since Boques' commentary is exceptional. If I wouldn't have to compete with instruction lag, I'd watch the stream while playing it. 3 manning with a healer is no problem, given this game's fetish with OP heals and endless mana pools.. 8 manning with no healers or pure dps classes is a totally different story. As it was, we one-shot every boss except the tanks. How many pugs can say that even if they aren't 8 guardians?
  7. For SM stuff I am fine with the "tactical" aspect of it. Anything to make queue times go down is a plus for me. If the elitists want to maintain the proper Tank/Heal/DPS scheme in a flashpoint, then they need to queue more often on their tanks and heals instead of going off and leveling a FTM class.
  8. That's probably the best looking part of the fleet. I would love to see the rest of the Republic fleet get a makeover like that (in the next expansion?). The addition of the blue lights makes it seem not so "Huttish yellow" and dull.
  9. 2-manned with a healer... not really that special, to be honest, especially with only 1 target to heal. Now if it was 2-man w/o a healer, I'd be impressed.
  10. Yeah, the build was actually very impressive, plus the 2-piece pvp set bonus heal on Guardian Leap. I'm pretty sure I would've survived the falling phase if I had my desktop and wasn't on my laptop too... we shall see next week!

  14. This. If all you want to do is kill people, then don't enter warzones. They have been objective based since before launch. Go to outlaws den or something.
  15. Dual spec? No. Legacy Field Respec is good enough. I'd rather spend a few cartel coins than have to pay a million credits or something insane to unlock dual spec. X-server stuff is tricky. As soon as you do it, you're going to get PvE server carebears who complain about having to go up against PvP server players. Nor do I want to have a laggy tank from Europe in a HM Flashpoint because the X-server queue system stuck me with him.
  16. Never. Chances are, someone attacked or you tried to CC someone with a DoT on him and your first CC broke. OR You tried to sleep dart a second target. You can only out of combat "sleep" 1 target at a time, trying to cast it on another releases the 1st target. The only other possibility, since you didn't say what your second CC ability you used was, is, like other classes, the Focus tree has a talent which allows Zealous Leap to be used while immobilized. This is no different than Force Speed or other soft CC break abilities.
  17. I still think you'll do better either full Defense or full Vig/Focus. Vig relies on refreshing master strike, and Plasma Brand is 1 of 2 abilities that does it. That said, Focus is and will be the better of the 2 specs for DPS in pvp. You don't sacrifice much survivability, and the Force Sweep hits harder than anything you can dish out with Vig, especially until we get the MS root. On top of that, Force Exhaustion hits harder than Plasma Brand with the crush at the end. *Yes, Plasma Brand's DoT does a little more damage, but the length is so long that it normally gets cleansed off before it does anywhere close to the damage that Force Exhaustion does. With Defense, Guardianship is important for team damage reduction, and you should be spamming Challenging Call whenever it is up in any spec. Likewise, Guardian Slash is so superior to anything in Vig right now that it just really doesn't make sense to not get it if you are going up the Defense tree.   19. For the Guardians Favor, I think it needs to be a flat 5% increase to all damage and heals to both the Guardian and the target. No threat reduction, no damage reduction. That solves its OP issue. Then in the skill tree (thinking tier 3 Vig) they could include a talent to increase speed by 15% while GF is active. It could be with the Shien talent and require Shien form. This really is the BEST suggestion I have heard. We can make it help dps, utility, and anti-kiting all in 1 change. That hits 3 of the 4 biggest issues we have right now with Vig, the last being Plasma Brand. It also throws Focus spec the utility and slight dps increase as well.
  20. Why are we giving a Shadow even more raid/group utility? They already have so much it isn't even funny. Not to mention that you'll drop Guardian tanks from pvp in favor of Shadow tanks and dps in tank gear who provide the extra 3% and basically eliminate the purpose of giving dps Guardians this ability in the first place, which is to boost our utility and dps to be closer to the other dps classes. This is the Guardian forum, we're not looking to discuss Shadows here. If you want to talk about that, take it to that forum.
  21. I agree, it needs to be a damage/heal buff, not the other form. I also think that Shadows/Assassins are doing just fine and don't need this. I can see this being really abused to make it a FOTM class for specs that already dominate. DPS spec in tank gear works for Shadows/Assassins because of the way their trees are setup. I don't think that boosting their damage output anymore is a wise idea. On top of that, they already do have utility in both pve and pvp.
  22. This is something we should look into, and perhaps ask for in our questions - it affects both focus and vig specs. The 5% damage buff would help bring our numbers up slightly so that the RNG and Focused Defense cost changes are really all we'd need to bring us in line with other dps. The 5% buff to heals/dps would give us raid and pvp utility, something we sorely lack, and finally give people a reason to bring a Guardian. My only fear is that they will say no, simply because of Focus, but we all know that if we can get Vig/Veng up to par, Focus will have a day of reckoning.
