As a BH Merc who just healed a full clear of the new raid on hard mode in half Columi gear, Tionese weapons, and some pants from a 4 man and not only that but our guild was only the 10th or so in the world to full clear on hard mode. I topped the healing meters most of the fights over our OPS healer in full BIS gear head to toe...I say LEARN TO PLAY YOU SCRUBS. Its absolutely 100% a player skill issue, managing your heat takes fast thinking, sometimes 2-3 moves ahead in order to dominate, but you can dominate the healing, you just have to not be bad. the heat is tweaked just fine, if you cant handle it that doesnt mean anything is wrong with the game, the problem is you. Thats not meant to be rude and personal, just to make a point, Im living proof that BH healers can dominate, even while undergeared with the current heat costs. Leave it challenging, its just fine where it is.
  2. I wonder if other people are seeing similar trends, we had 4 tanks, were down to 1. We had 6 healers and were down to 4. A few of the people that canceled were my close friends and now it has me feeling down about the game. Our guild is shrinking and all day vent has been nothing but absolute misery, people just cannot believe that this company could possibly have the audacity to release new content while they havent fixed gamebreaking issues like ability lag, bugs, LFG, and custom UI. I can literally feel the ship sinking, and its making me sad, I had such high hope for this game for such a long long time, and now Im watching my guild vanish. I mean the developers didnt even put in a LFG, thats how lazy and incompetent they are, its the one perfect example of how bad they have failed. Im sitting here trying to run a hard mode right now, been typing LFG for 30 miserable minutes and getting more frustrated by the minute. Today I started thinking about Diablo 3 and Guild Wars 2.
  3. They are numbing to my brain, but I must have the Rakata piece so I go into misery mode and trudge through.

Give them a long time to add basic industry standard stuff like a custom UI, and a LFG system, and a combat log...They have guys right now getting paid to instead fix some minor bugs on your pets! Just the thought of it is frustrating, there is some guy at Bioware that is not working on something important, they have guys literally working on fluff while the community cries out.
  5. Sitting around without MMO basics such as a LFG or a combat log for a month will make some people start to feel a sense of boredom. Running Hutt Ball 20 times, and then only getting to do the much more enjoyable alderaan Warzone once in those 21 games can make even the most hardcore PVP guy start to get miserable. The ability lag not being fixed faster, and treated like the emergency it is will make some leave. The raid is literally in an alpha state and the fixes so far to it still havent taken care of some gamebreakers. Looking at the patch notes for 1.1, I do not see any new WZ's, or them making all WZ's IMP vs IMP like they should, or even the basic option to choose which WZ you want to run. I do not see bug fixes to gamebreaking raid bugs that make running the place miserable for even the most patient players. No LFG being added, no combat log being added, no mention of ability lag or abilities randomly just not happening. Basically its like you brought your car in so they could replace the broken engine, and they put new windshield wipers on it and gave it back to you with the engine still broke. They need to get to the real issues faster. A 3rd grader could understand that adding new fluff to something broken is going to frustrate the customers, thats a really bad move.
  6. its an ok game at best. The raid was released literally in alpha state, and the ability delay is so bad you would imagine a college kid programmed it. the two most important things in the game and there both busted. It has the potential to be good and heres to hoping that 1.1 fixes the two most glaring issues that plague this game.
  7. respecing for raid isnt the problem, the problem is that I like a particular specc for raid dps, for raid healing, for pvp healing, and for pvp dps. Doing any of the activities in any specc that isnt perfectly built for what Im doing is very frustrating.
  8. There is no logic in saying no... Thats the same as wishing for others to suffer, even if you dont want to use the feature, others being able to does not effect you negatively in any way, so it makes no sense.
  9. Dude, 1.1 is tuesday, if it fixes ability delay and ability missfire then thats 50% of my concern taken care of in one early patch. Nah, Ill stick it out for a bit, also Diablo 3 is coming soon, and so is Guild Wars 2. I would rather rake my eyes out with a spoon then play WOW again.
  10. When the huge bands of Imperial players are roaming Illum looking for blood next week, it sure would be nice if the 4 republic players would go there and let us kill them so the thousands of us can get our weekly done.
  11. And thats exactly the problem, it should not be so bad that people are thinking about leaving for a month. If thats not proof they messed up badly and need to fire some people on the raid design team and get some talented people in there that laugh at the pathetic guys who messed up basics like orbs floating around....If the next raid doesnt blow me away Im headed straight to guild wars 2.

I got a great idea, lets get programmers who are so poor at there job that they make each raid boss unable to reset themselves so that the players have to reset and clear trash after every attempt! That should bring the players in and make them want to pay for the game! My god I cannot believe how bad these designers failed...this is so sad.
  13. The last boss of the main raid has a mechanic that blows people up, you would think that someone getting payed to make sure these things (which are important) would atleast be playable. Again, theres no excuse for such a huge distaster of a bug on such important content.
  14. The engine, the software, the genre, or the hardware that the game is designed on do not matter. If you cannot make an orb float around a room without bugging out then why were you hired? Theres no excuse for this level of imcompetence. Also, i dont have to be kind, Im paying to waste hours on content that is supposed to be playable.
  15. Make sure you pass this along to the developers, let them know that designing a raid like there a monkey just pressing random buttons on there PC while they drool on themselves is not ok. You SHOULD be embarrased because what you have created is a big pile of crap. Its not ok to just act like everything is fine and fix it a month later. Stop wasting my time and money, either be able to design basic crap like an orb floating around or get fired like you deserve. Whoever was in charge of making the orbs on the SOA fight does not deserve to work in a world class design house.
  16. iPhone games could make a better raid. Heres our 4 hours of SOA attempts last night. -We get into our 16 man group and pull, invisible orbs wipes the raid when we are jumping down the second set of platforms. -Next attempt 2 or 3 of our raiders had the entire world and the other players magically disappear during the attempt, we quickly threw a mark over a raiders head for them to blindly follow. -More attempts where invisible orbs below a platform blow people up through the floor. -next few attempts the boss in the final phase was pulled into pyramids and his shield randomly decided not to break so we could not dps him. -More invisible orb deaths while we jump down platforms. -More attempts where the pyramids did not break the shield on the boss. -The melee sometimes just randomly cannot charge into SOA after his shield is broken. -The mindtrap would just randomly kill people. So at this point we decide to split into two 8 mans -Group 1 had the boss choose the main tank for the mindtrap target and that caused the fight to just randomly reset. the boss just disappeared. -Group 2 kills him and the two people who were in the mindtrap when the boss died could not loot the boss, they got glitched out of the fight and sent to there own phase, loot on the boss had there name on it but they could not get it. Theres no point in opening a ticket because it will take 2 weeks and then some untrained imbecile will copy paste a "thanks for letting us know about the issue" response and not even fix it! -Group 1 has the world and all players go invisible 2 more times and have to exit area. So a very simple boss thats very very easy to kill takes us 4 hours, literally the entire time and every single attempt was us fighting bugs. I didnt even mention yet how horrid the ability lag is in 16 mans, atleast EVERY SINGLE ATTEMPT 10+ abilities for our raiders just didnt go off, like the global happened but the ability did not. Thats over 100 abilities that just magically did not go off, my brother who makes flash games can do better than that. A 2 second cast takes over 4 to actually happen, the cast bars are broken. Overall the entire raid experience is BUSTED. Lastly I know that when people go to college for game design, one of there projects is to make a polygonal object bounce around in a 3-D space. You can buy tons of iPhone games where little orbs bounce around. Bioware is supposed to be a top 5 developers in the entire world and they cannot design some orbs that bounce around to not go invisible and randomly blow people up?!?! Not only that but that game is out for this long and the orbs arent fixed? This is purely incompetent of the developers, just flat out embarrasing. You should all go back to school and learn to make little basic orbs float around a room, or be fired and replaced with people that dont fail at game design basics 101. For dealing with this incompetently designed busted raid every member of my raid that wasted there time playing something that seems like a few high school kids made as a prank should be refunded there 15 bucks for next month.
  17. Now it mid traps our MT and the boss vanishes as the tank reapears at the top where the fight started. This is absolutely ridiculous!
  18. Why would you patch your game and not fix the SOA bugs! Stop everything your doing right now and fix this disaster! Get someone in there that makes iPHONE games because they can make orbs bounce around my screen without going invisible and bugging through walls! Your programmers should be embarrased, this is pathetic!!!!!!!!!!!! Im at the point of demanding a full refund, at the very least you should be offering a free month to anyone dealing with your raid that was programmed by a 12 year old kid that never finished 2nd grade. Over 4 hours wasted to bugs so far on the most important part of the game. bug after embarrasing bug, over and over every attempt. Stop, just STOP right now, and fix the raid tonight. Dont go home, you dont deserve sleep while Im paying for this.
  19. My raid yesterday went something like this on vent... "Oh thats cool my character is floating and I cannot use any abilities" "Oh thats cool my GCD goes but the ability isnt actually going off" "***!" (people randomly dying while buffing) "***!" (people randomly falling through the world to there death) "*** your invisible!" "*** the mobs are invisible!" And its just this for hours on end, I mean the raid bugs should be enough to put Biowares raid dev team on welfare. They arent good enough to program an iphone game let alone be working for a top 5 developer in the world! They should be going into work with there head held low and ashamed. To say they failed is the understatement of the year in gaming.
  20. -Its ok to use "story" as the selling point if the gameplay is smooth and bug free. -Its ok to use "story" as the selling point if the raid content isnt riddled with gamebreaking bugs. -Its ok to use "story" as the selling point if there are no memory leaks that destroy peoples gameplay experience. -Its ok to use "story" as the selling point if quests dont get stuck on pending for people upon release and they have to wait for up to 5 days to play again. -Its ok to use "story" as the selling point if the developers are not lazy and make sure the industry standard features like a combat log and a very basic LFG system are in the game and working properly. -Its ok to use "story" as the selling point if the abilities in the game do not missfire, as in the global CD happens but the ability never actually happens. This could go on forever, but the fact and the point is that this is a video game, not a movie. Sell the game on whatever idea you want, but ONLY AFTER the actual video game is up to par with its peers in the industry in terms of gameplay. Having a story is no excuse for the amount of bugs this game is riddled with.
  21. -General developer community knowledge base of online code has evolved leaps and bounds. -game engine technology has evolved leaps and bounds. -Just with every genre developers learn from there peers and game development continues to evolve at a very rapid pace. these are facts, not opinions. Now knowing these facts, and knowing that this game was built with more money and time than Blizz had waaaaaaaay back in the day when they made WOW (ancient times in terms of game development). Its should be EXPECTED that the raid content isnt loaded with showstopping gamebreaking, utterly ridiculous bugs. It should be EXPECTED that the gameplay is as smooth or MORE SMOOTH than a 7 year old game in the same genre. 1+1=2, its just all facts that, no matter how much of a Bioware fan you are, you have to face as facts.
  22. This thread misses the point ENTIRELY. How can you be so blind to the obvious? Did half of you even graduate the third grade?!?! People want it, if you dont want to use it then DONT USE IT!!!! Other paying customers do want one, and do want to use it. Put one in for the paying customers who want it, and let the wierd people that enjoy typing in "DPS LFG DUNGEON X!!" for hours on end because they think that qualifies as a "social experience" continue to do so. Threads like this do NOTHING but allow the developers to continue to be lazy, stop giving them excuses and try to use that little brain for 5 seconds. Stop making posts that influence the developer to REMOVE or NOT ADD basic features that other paying customers would like to use. Advocating for other customers to be miserable with a product is logically a broken idea, it literally makes no sense whatsoever.
  23. The boss has 10k health, I can see from the meter that dps 1 did 7k, and the tank did 2k, you can set your self to private but it wont take much to see that you only did 1k damage and are immediately kicked from my group if you are geared as well as the other dps doing 7k.
  24. On my server there is one or 2 republic players, and 20-30 empire players trying to help the war effort at any given time. If we just gang slaughtered the very very few republic players there are then it would take me 8 hours to get my weekly done. Sorry I want it to be done in 30 minutes or less. Its absolutely 100% the designers faults. It is Biowares JOB to make the play experience enjoyable, NOT THE PAYING CUSTOMERS! If they cant make an open world PVP area that I can go to and have fun doing my daily then its there fault. Again, it has nothing to do with a store owner getting robbed, theres no logic in that argument. Again, Bioware is getting payed, ITS THERE JOB to make it good.
