  1. I completed the Hyde mission for 340 artifact gear but Zeek only offers 340 artifact enhancements (purple) for sale, no armorings, mods, hilts or barrels. I previously completed the 336 prototype mission on the same character and those are listed. I selected to show all in the dropdowns.
  2. You should be using Loadouts to change your style, only visiting the Combat Styles pages when you want to set up a new style or discipline, or perhaps change some of the choices. 1. Set up combat style #1, with toolbars and appearance. 2. Go to Loadouts and create a new loadout, you will have 1 by default and it will have all the setting from step 1. Initially the new loadout wil be just a copy, with whatever new name you gave it. 3. Set up combat style #2, and all changes made will go to the new Loadout and not affect the original. 4. Switch loadouts whenever you like and it will set up everything automatically. (It does help to buy the Legacy perk to respec anywhere)
  3. Indeed - I know this is a necro, but these weapons are broken even worse since 7.0.1, disappearing in regular play not involving cutscenes. These are expensive CM items, and a large part of what makes them unique is the holster. Sure it is not a show-stopping bug but when you are charging a lot for these and they don't work correctly they should be fixed.
  4. That would allow you to get Legend rank, however the achievement specifically calls out reaching Legend during the event.
  5. I have a gunslinger with 2 Anarchy pistols equipped in outfitter and Vette with 2 Rascal's Way pistols equipped. Previously when using holstered weapons in main and off hand the holster would fail to show on one of them after a cut scene, on the character and companion. The fix for the character was to unequip/equip them and for companions it was to re-summon or mount/unmount. Now they seem to break whenever I switch maps. I can switch outfits to fix them on my character and if I mount/unmount they briefly appear on my companion until she performs an action which makes her draw the weapons when the holsters disappear again.

  9. Well the sorcerer combat style can only do heal or dps. When set to a dps discipline you would have some heal ability, but not as much as if you set the heal discipline. If you wanted the ability to sometimes tank then you would need a second style (assassin or juggernaut or even shadow or guardian if you lean to the light side), and to set the tank discipline on that style. But to choose a second style you must first finish your origin story, then as a subscriber you would have the option to choose one. You would set up each combat style with a discipline and save each in its own layout, then you would switch layouts to change and not the combat style page unless you wanted to alter something in your ability choices.

  11. Any more info on this or a ETA for a fix? I am actively avoiding activities which would tick over into the next rank on the reward track, which is pretty much anything in the game. So I am playing a lot less. Normally by this time in the week I would have most, if not all, of the GS weeklies done and probably a few characters reaching their 100k on conquest while doing GS. Not this week since I want to be assured that I will get all the correct rewards for GS. But unless I avoid playing completely, then sooner or later I will hit the next rank, which happens to be 53 - which should reward 200cc in the subscriber track.

The main problem with shared tagging in this game now is that the game was not designed with it in place, so many missions have been created with mechanics that assume that it is single tagging (very likely done in diferent ways over the years). Simply turning it on a global level is not enough, the mechanics of all these various missions would also need to be updated. This is just another aspect of 7.0, when you change so many systems at once, a lot of which have been there since pre-launch, then you have to expect problems, and I am not sure that the team in its current configuration has the bandwidth to fix them all.
  13. There is a bug with the Balmorra bonus series and that NPC, and one of my toons is in the same position. There is a workaround, but only when the bonus series is a Conquest objective (not this week). When that is available you can grant mission from the entry in the Conquest object list and it will give you a mission to talk to that NPC and from there it works normally, However this feeds directly to the OP's complaint about not being able to run things in order as you come to them, and not behind some arbitrary content selection abiut what is available in a given week.
  14. Eternal Championship in a group has been bugged for a while now. Perhaps this thread will help, as one of the posts describes a workaround.
  15. I hope so also as it would make it easier to use. In the absense of that I had expected to just ignore it. However since I am a filthy casual who does not do Ops and so will not be allowed to mod my gear as I see fit (at least until some unspecified time in the 7.x cycle when apparently I will be allowed to play like the big boys/girls), then I will be forced to use it if I want both the look of my current weapons and the improved stats of whatever gear I am allowed to get.

I was considering Force Stasis as the stun equivalent (mine says 4 sec, was it not always?) - sure as channeled it is different to the instant stuns of others, but it still should be a given, not one of the ability choices. I will have to check out your point on Mercenary, but it is possible. In any case we will see what is in store for that class when its time comes on PTS. I mentioned the interrupt and stun break because they were absent from the Guardian during the first round of testing on PTS and there was some comment on changes to that aspect of the game, however you are correct in that both are present on the Sentinel as we now see it. I suppose my comments would have been better placed in a general feedback thread rather than this Sentinel focused one.
  17. One feature that has been in this game from the start is that all classes have a 4 second stun, an interrupt and a stun breaker. I bind these to the same keys on all my characters - I have at least one of every class. While not all are used in every fight, content has been designed from the start assuming that all classes have these abilities. None of these should be part of any ability pruning. I would go further and say that no ability pruning is needed at all. For me fewer abilities means less fun. My character will have fewer options in any given fight and is likely to be more fragile with a reduction in defensives. This does not improve the game, it makes it worse. This is a 10 year old game. It will not attract large numbers of new players no matter what you do. Resources would be better spent on improving the game for the existing player base instead of chasing some mythical market of players who are apparently discouraged from playing MMOs in general and this one in particular because they are too complicated. Dumbing down the game will just alienate a portion of your existing player base and will be unlikely to attract enough new players to compensate, let alone grow the game.
  18. What I expected from these new mechanics: 1. The combination of Advanced Class and Discipline would be rebranded as Combat Style and characters would be able to choose between any appropriate Combat Style (tech to tech, force to force with alignment restrictions) and be able to play through their class story with different options than previously. 2. Characters would be able to change between Combat Styles and Loadouts would be a way to manage the various toolbar and keybind settings to make switching less painful. Given that we have only one class to test right now all that choosing and switching styles remains to be seen, so judgment reserved on that. Though given that I have a bunch of alts with various advanced class and disciplines right now I do not expect to making much use of the increased choice. I did not expect that Loadouts would involve being forced into making choices between existing abilities so no matter what my characters will be affected and will be less flexible due to having fewer options available during a fight. In the sense that it is a Jedi with a single lightsaber then yes, but a watered down version. Leaving aside the missing baseline abilities like my interrupt (Force Kick) and stun-break (Resolute) etc., I really do not like having to choose between abilities that I have full access to on live. So yes, choosing one ability means losing two others so they are now missing from my combat rotation. It definitely felt weaker, lack of defensives and a severely underpowered companion will do that though. Not as much as live where I have full access to all my abilities. Defense - A Focus - A

  20. Thanks for the fixes. The patch notes do not mention Daily PO: complete Rishi [Daily] missions which lists Section X dailies in its requirements - and does not complete for either Rishi or Section X dailies, so I am wondering if it will be fixed this time around.
  21. Priority Objective - one of the new dailiy or weekly missions that are part of Galactic Seasons. They use the PO abbreviation in the mission names.
  22. Yes - lost another 3 points over this one. I am sure that this and similar non-updating issues will be fixed, but how many points will we lose before that happens?
  23. I agree that there should be a way that each player can complete these with their preferred playstyle. More options by itself is not necessarily the way to go, since that would put players even more at the mercy of the RNG gods. Increasing the number of rerolls would probably help, since that would likely help everyone. A player looking for GSF and getting 2 of the kill bugs tasks would likely not be pleased to have their one reroll throw up kill different mobs tasks. I like the suggestion I saw earlier in the thread of simply letting us pick 2 from a list that would guarantee at least 2 from WZ, GSF, solo PvE etc. which should allow players to complete these as they like. If you enjoy more than one playstyle then more power to you, you would have a wider choice to choose from. Today initially I got Black Hole dailies and GSF. I completed the BH stuff netting 3 points and a nice chunk of renown and GC. Then I rerolled the GSF since I don't play that system and got unranked WZ instead, which I also don't play - so that's 3 points down on the day. Now there are more than enough points available in the season, especially for subs that making 800 should not be an issue even just doing dailies and avoiding the weeklies, none of which seem to be solo PvE friendly, but it is disappointing to miss those points particularly as I have free time available today that I might not have on another day. There is also the option to use CC and later on there will be the option to use credits to catch up, but I will see how I am doing coming to the end of the season before I go that route.
  24. Claiming from collections produced the same Ornate Kubaz Box as the original claim. I had no difficulties using that on a lowbie character that has never done KotFE. Once opened it produces a Strange Holocommunicator, which if used will call Altuur and immediately add him as a companion. On a character that has done KotFE Chapter 9, opening the Box will also grant an alert in the companion window. That is a short 'convo' where he introduces gimself and you get the option to add him as a companion. He is Kubaz so it is the usual Kubaz gibberish where you get to read a translation. I see no reason why a lowbie would not be able to open the original version of the Box also, but that is not the sequence I did so I can't say for sure - maybe try it and post the results?
