  1. Maybe they are saving it for a later expansion. They will create a whole new set of races and classes and make them 'neutral' then you can play as neutrally as you would like. A new faction would be awesome anyway. Planets for the Alliance/Imperials to fight over. All kinds of nefarious plots. Yeah, neutrality has it's advantages....
  2. You're absolutely right! I had to go to work though.... I got this whole job thing going on. In response to the Fanboi assault: Fans of the game will support it and offer constructive feedback to the developers to make the game better. They are in for quite some time and will not quit until things are absolutely shown to be hopeless. Trolls (The OP) come to the boards to spread rumors based on no actual facts before threatening to rage quit. The funny part is they keep coming back so I would have to deduce that their threats are idle. Who helps the community more again?
  3. I'm quitting because my parents didn't love me as much as my computer does and I don't have a girlfriend and I never get my way. Sigh, this thread is a fail. Please move along, you only need to tell your guildmates you are quitting as they may depend on you. We do not need notice.
  4. There is no cause for a roll back. It's completely totally and utterly unnecessary. This is just the QQ of the Day.
  5. I only roll Republic on my server. Maybe they just don't PvP.
  6. This is not Star Trek, this is Star Wars. There are no transporters. You should consider yourself lucky you have a personal ship and also have a fleet pass you can use every 18 hours. This is a non-issue resulting from lazy player QQ.
  7. I'm still waiting for 'proof'; otherwise this entire thread is a troll.
  8. Thank goodness you are here and keeping track for us! We appreciate all your hard work! I know this is probably radical thinking, but perhaps (stay with me here) people are not logged on right now but still subscribing.... Crazy but possible, right?
  9. Me too! I don't play enough to get every nuance of the game down. Those that do, well they either need to stick with others of their kind of get over it. People have lives and this game is not a major part of it.
  10. The same way no one saw through George W. Bush's master plan! Anyway, my big question is wireless networking. Where is it and why doesn't it exist?
  11. Sawbones all the way. Melee healer with decent ranged attacks to fall back on if necessary. Instant AoE heal and you don't have to wear a dress! Edit: I forgot stealth!
  12. Well, don't be defeated so easily. I personally like the game and I provide feedback to the devs when I see something I like/agree with/dislike/want changed. Sometimes they listen and sometimes they don't. So far I see that they are indeed listening; it's undenyable from the posts they have placed so far. Most think they sit idly by and watch the boards blow up, but just because they don't act immediately and visibly, doesn't mean they don't act. Keep the faith!
  13. Just remember that if you leave and come back in 6-12 months and things are not to your expectations you don't get to complain again! If you stick around you get to try and influence change with feedback. Leave and you are cut off.... I never understand why nobody understands this....
  14. I'm still playing and I'm enjoying myself. Thanks for the input though; [sarcasm] it was well worded and very thoughtful. [/sarcasm]
  15. Don't get me wrong, I totally see your point, and it's probably the core reason for there being such a thing as an alt-hound / altoholic. It's very difficult to be satisfied with a character 100% of the time for a long period of time. Rift ran into problems by allowing a gratuitous amount of specs per character. In hindsight is really appeared to harm their replayability.
  16. Just a quick question to the OP: How often do you want to be allowed to do this per character? How much do you want it to cost? If they allow you to change the fundamental nature of your character then what incentive do you have to re-roll? Your AC determines your combat style as well as your power usage model (DPS/Ranged/Tank/Healer/etc.). Further, if you respec your AC, then your skill tree will need to be cleared every time, which means you don't ever have to settle on a spec, let alone an AC. I don't know, but it sort of sounds boring and borderline abusive to me.... I might support this if it was a one time thing per character at an extremely high price, but otherwise nope. You are going to be getting a dual spec option soon, you should probably be satisfied with that.
  17. Is that the new legacy race? I smell spoiler!!! Houseplant Scoundrel!
  18. I do not support the idea put forth by the OP. Advanced Class is your actual class. Everything 10> is training to get a basic feel for your role.
  19. As long as they keep away from Cybertech! Actually I use BioChem on my main and it is pretty OP. Slicing was ridiculous too and needed to get the axe around the edges. All in all though, I don't see too huge of a problem with the company identifying imbalances and rectifying (a.k.a. - Nerfing) them.
  20. I roll lightsided a lot for my imperial dudes. Some of the choices are just too evil, even for RP! Besides, I think it's interesting to play a lightsided OP who is patriotic, but no fully evil. Just report the guys and move on. You could really cheese them by quitting the group and leaving the FP. That would teach 'em!
  21. Good review. Didn't change my mind, but good none the less. I give it an 8.5/10. I don't agree with your take on instancing/space combat mini-game/skill similarity. Not going into detail, just don't agree. Thanks!
  22. Please provide a detailed list of said clothing and which vendor I can purchase this fabulous gear from.
  23. Entirely possible. I just know that those games (excepting BF3 which I have not played) do not cause my brand spanking new computer to overheat the way that SWTOR does. Look I love the game and I play it all the time. I'm not quitting or anything either. I just wanted to note that this is not some crazy thing. I have seen a pretty big jump in my heat while playing this game. If I have to optimize my equipment to play this game alone, then I see that as a problem. Every other game I have recently bought, I have loaded onto my new computer and they were all plug and play with no issues (older games needed some tweaking down) but this game is not running the same way and it is taxing my hardware more than anything else I have going right now. Should I have to spend hours optimizing my system? Maybe, but I don't think so. I'm not running some crazy custom system with all kinds of jury rigged parts and connectors. I'm not overclocking anything and I have a really good cooling system with a dedicated fan for my brand new video card. On top of that my computer resides on a window sill next to an outside window. It's 14 degrees out there and about 68 degrees or less inside. There is some issue with the system usage of this game and though I am not experienced enough with hardware to know exactly what it is, my computer can tell and it's busting it's butt to compensate.
