  1. Sooner rather than later would be preferable. Can't stand the current LFG system. Gimme Cross-Server.
  2. Why isn't Cross-Server LFG here already? Hurry it up people.
  3. This thread seems like one huge whine-fest. 1) They shouldn't have made companions gear dependent. 2) They should have had a better loot system in place long before launch. Go complain to the Dev's instead of trying to impose your will on other players.
  4. Gimme X-Server LFG and I'll be running Flash Points while the Anti's hole up in their Guilds or Ragequit.
  5. FPs shouldn't be your only avenue for socializing and guild recruiting, besides you'll still be able to manually create groups. Then all the Anti's can play together. Everyone wins. Yay.
  6. Thought I'd skip to the end of you rant and say there is nothing about the current dynamic of this game that I will miss when they implement X-Server LFG. Edit: Guilds being a absolutely 100% optional thing in a MMO? Hooooray.
  7. Give me Cross-Server LFG, so that I may never return to these forums, where I have met more unpleasant people in just a few weeks than I ever met running a single random dungeon group in WoW.
  8. Welcome Sister. Edit: I will say TouchBass, that given I've seen how rational and even tempered you can be, it makes me happy when people ragevomit at you. At least it's not just something I bring out in people. Heh.
  9. Exactly why I want X Server LFG. Guilds should be a completely optional tool in a massive toolbox. Edit: Well.. not exactly why... but a hell of a good reason to stay away from Guilds.
  10. Can't see how these compromises couldn't make everyone happy. Likewise, I still am having a impossible time seeing how socializing and community revolve solely around FPs, just not seeing it. Not trying to be argumentative per se, just don't see it.
  11. Agreed, the only thing less fun than spamming LFG for hours by yourself, is spamming LFG for hours while the other person(s) in your group get to go about their business and leave if it takes too long for them. Meh to that.
  12. Come join us in the Cross-Server LFG thread, help us discuss how the upcoming LFG mechanic could be improved over anything WoW had, and ways to make both sides happy! Anyone wishing to discuss it civilly is more than welcome!
  13. Understood! And absolutely agree. The following improvements have been suggested: 1) Cross or In Server option. 2) Auto/Random or Manual option. 3) Greatly improved loot system. 4) Cross Sever or Account-linked Friends/Ignore list. 5) Queuing for LFG taking your Friends/Ignore into account and given priority.
  14. To be honest, and I am absolutely NOT trolling when I say this, but I've met more unpleasant people here on the forums from the Anti-LFG camp, than I have ever met in years of using the WoW's RDF.
  15. Agreed that X-Server LFG is not the end all be all answer, but I'll certainly take it. That being said, I certainly agree with you that it could be improved in many ways to where it eases it's impact to those that do not enjoy it. There have been several ideas listed previously in this thread if you'd peruse them.
  16. I can understand your disbelief, but the only reason I even started posting on these forums was because for DAYS on end I spent hours spamming LFG with no results. I hardly speak, so it can't be based on the fact that I'm a jerk, and I've never "ninja'd" or needed for a companion. Hours and hours and hours. It has soured my experience immensely. If I thought server merges would be a guaranteed fix I'd be all for them, but to me it is simply the current LFG tool is inadequate and few people use it, and I don't think I'm on a small server (Vornskr). I'd deal with the occasional "jerk" or "ninja" in exchanged for a increased rate of grouping minus the headache. I also believe that "community" only exists within groups of fiends or in guilds, not server wide. Again I appreciate you at least being civil with your post. It makes it easier to discuss.
  17. It's all good, at least you posted your opinions and personal experiences in a non-confrontational way, which puts you in the top 2% of Anti-LFGers. I disagree with most of what you said, and hope that they implement a tool that is better than what WoW has, but acknowledge your concerns.
  18. Agree with a Friend/Ignore list tied to accounts. Disagree that LFG some how brings out the monstrous jerk in people.
  19. Thanks for your contribution to this discussion, but that is only your opinion. In my opinion, it encourages politeness, respect, and group cohesion.
  20. You're right, too bad Blizzard already got tons of my money
