Absolutely this needs joystick/controller support. Keyboard politing in this format stinks. I would absolutely love starfighter if I could pilot the way we did for the XWing and Tie Fighter series.

Agreed. Courtesy goes a long way. I didn't know we could report people for tos violations in the general chat. I'll be vigilant in making reports, now that I know.

Perhaps people want to enjoy the storyline for their character, and don't like to have everyone in the group yelling about "SPACEBAR!!!" I've grouped with some folks that were just fine. I've grouped with others that were total jackwagons. Usually, I choose to solo unless I'm almost finished on a planet.

I'm a mostly solo, PvE player also. Personally, I'll keep paying for the subscription just to keep all options open.

Yeah, as someone who loves this game, and truly appreciates the work that the builders put into the content, I'm 100% in agreement with you. I am not enjoying the power gamers jumping on chests and such while I'm fighting the monsters guarding them. Speaking of which, perhaps Bioware could look into not enabling the objects until the monsters are cleared? That would solve much of the "ninja" problem. OP, for your enjoyment, I give you my solemn vow to watch every second of every cutscene that I paid for. I actually like them also.

You are by far, not alone. They should have left at least some of the servers.

No, I don't like it. I love the game though, loved it much more in a small population server.

So, I did a bit of looking under the character transfer FAQ and found this for anyone interested: I didn't remember specifiically, but I did not believe that I had a choice of where to send my characters. I was right. It was chosen for me. So, my characters are stuck, for now. Any that I create in the future will be on a RP server.

It's no big deal. I fully expected some of it. I did not expect it to be as bad as it is. What was great about NWN is that the players owned the servers. I've banned no small number of people from mine. Thanks.

Folks, my question was answered. Those of you who actually answered the question, thank you. I didn't see that there were RP servers, but I'll see about transferring characters to those servers. I'm sure I'll do much better standing around for 10 seconds, applying my buffs and such there. Lord forbid I actually use things provided in the game, like buffing abilities, stims, and such. I don't know what I was thinking there.. Lord help us all if I were to actually try to rearrange my quickbar before a battle to make things flow better in combat. That might crash the game for all the NASCAR players. How rude of me. The trolls, well, you're quite obviously the kinds of players who create the situation that brings me to create this thread. I fully understand MMORPG there smart guy, but thanks. As far as I have seen, servers in this game are only broken down into PVP, or PVE. I haven't seen an RP section, or Story section to choose from, which I would gladly do. That was a great part of NWN. Well, that and the servers were player owned.

That's unfortunate, but I"m glad it's not just me. Last night it seemed like there was a guild run or something of some thirty players grouped together and they were all going in a circle, or a chosen pattern so it was impossible to get the "destroy 4 weapons caches" done. I had to be a "jerk" myself and battle loot someone else just to complete the silly quest. Heck, I was trying to fight one baddy to get his blaster, I was not grouped with anyone, and other people jumped into the fight. I sent a tell to one of them that I would like to do my own fights, and they reply "just trying to help you kill him faster." WTH?? ARRRRRGHH!!!! That's the point, I want the challenge, not a doggone easy gimme. Let me enjoy my game.

To get rid of the annoying "cyour character is now eligible for a free transfer" messages, and I thought characters were going to get rewards, I transferred all of my characters from Keetael to Jedi Somthingorother.. to find that any location I visit is filled with other players, and it's literally impossible to explore a world without having some moron run or fly past in a speeder to battle loot the area I just spent several minutes clearing of spawns. This is especially annoying in areas like Blackhole on Corellia where I'm trying to get my dailies in. Honestly, I'm not a sociable player. I don't want to team up with a bunch of power gamers who like to blow through the baddies and get the boss beaten in record time. I like to enjoy the content of the doggone game. I like to think of it as reading a book, with pictures. Well, enough of my complaining. Can I get my characters back on the Dead server where I was quite happy?

I don't mind the legacy system. Kind of like it actually. It gives you something to work towards, other than just level grinding.
