  1. Cool opinion you have there. Maybe if you don't like it, you could try another class/faction story line? The ones I have tried so far have been pretty fun.
  2. How do you know? How so? How so? How so? That's your opinion.
  3. Core i5 2500K @ 4.1Ghz I run the game at 1080p with everything maxed out. I'm usually around 60-70 FPS in fleet pretty easily. I also have a beast of a machine though... Edit: To the dude above me, what do you use to cool your CPU? I can't seem to push above 4.1Ghz without generating a massive amount of heat...
  4. Bleh, please no. Transmog was just a really bad way of doing appearance slots. I'm all in favor of appearance slots, but transmog is just a bad solution to the customization issue.
  5. This 'server group' thing just sounds like a weird and (sorry...) stupid solution. Why are you reinventing the wheel here? If I want to buy or sell a rare item or group up with people or find a guild, I don't care in the slightest about people on other servers (as they are not my target audience for making a post) and it just seems really odd to do it this way. Server forums fix this problem. In fact, server forums have fixed this problem for years. Yeah, I can use the search function, but that doesn't really settle the issue for me, as you are still making it more difficult than it needs to be. Get it together Bioware! Whoever came up with this idea shouldn't be allowed to have ideas anymore... I'm all for creative solutions, but this is just a really crappy way to solve this. In 6 months we will probably end up with server forums after you get a bunch of complaints, so just do it now, save yourself the trouble down the road, and stop wasting everyone's time with bad ideas. =/ Edit: Some other users also make a good point in that most posts in these server group forums likely won't have a server tag on them. This just makes the problem worse. Please, just fix it, add the server specific forums and let us move on...
  6. Oztroja. My character's name is Yagudo. Anyone who used to play FFXI will likely get the reference.
  7. Oh man, you would LOVE the crafting in Final Fantasy XIV. No AFKing there. You just play a minigame! Granted its really boring, completely random, and not fun at all.... but.... uhh.... yeah!
  8. Well, it's not a 'MUST' because the game works as it is without it. It would be kind of cool to have 2 specs, although I'm not really all that concerned with it, to be honest.
  9. I doubt I will hit 50 the first month. Like you, I have a character in the early twenties, but I also have a bad habit of making alts. Lots of alts. And with different stories for them, I get the feeling that I will be making multiple characters. I'm sure I'll hit 50 within the first 3-4 months or so (figure that's an average of a half level per day, but later levels will likely take longer). But who knows. I enjoy leveling, I enjoy the story, and I'm cool with just playing through a couple of characters. =P
  10. I'd hope they never allow class switching. Advanced classes aren't like a talent spec or something, they are your full on class. You just happen to start as a simpler class. If switching classes is allowed, then people start doing a few things: 1. They pick whichever class is easier to level with, and then switch at 50 if needed. 2. There will likely be a mass exodus to whichever one of the two advanced classes happen to be the flavor of the month. 3. You begin to justify taking additional loot in groups on the chance that you may switch classes. 4. It turns the AC system from a way to ease you into a class to just another talent system, but with only 2 options per basic class. In other words, I'm not a fan of letting players switch. Advanced classes should remain as classes, where you pick one, and that's what you are. Or maybe they should just start characters out as an advanced class, but then you don't get any abilities associated with your AC until level 10 (thus preserving the system as it exists now, but eliminating the 'confusion' over what an AC is). E.G. You are a level 1 Sith Jugernaut, but you will only received Sith Warrior abilities and will remain completely identical to a Sith Marauder until level 10. TLDR: Advanced classes are classes and should remain as a permanent decision for players. Not ever player decision should be reversible.
  11. "This sounds like the perfect opportunity for violence!"
  12. Well, at least with dungeons only being done on the same server, it becomes easier to make a list of 'players to avoid'. Now if only we had some class forums to post that on... =P
