  1. full access isnt till october now (and is most likely gonna be 3.0). You really think they are going to be able to release another xpac a month or two later because that would be shocking. GSH got delayed. The other xpac that they havent talked about will end up delayed into next year as well. I know its just speculation, but it just seems like the more practical route they are going to take. They probably havent said anything yet because im sure people will freak out about it. Im not trolling either, Ill still be here playing
  2. My guess is that F2p players can only have so many strongholds active. Subs probably dont have anything to worry about with that. Similar to how many characters F2P can access
  3. me and my guiild usually call it Orbital Tickle
  4. Im no doomsayer, I love this game and will be playin it with my guild till it shuts down. I have a feeling though with 2.9 being early access for GSH that 3.0 will be full access to GSH in October. I think this other expansion that they havent said anything about yet is most likely not coming out this year and will get pushed to another early access in probably february. I dont have any source, just speculating based off of how they have been releasing stuff. I just dont see two XPACs releasing that close together.
  5. might wanna invest in some sarcasm sensors. cheap on the CM
  6. As someone who has returned from a year+ being gone (I left just when GW2 came out), I can say this game has improved greatly. Yeah there are still some things that are bothersome but overall this game is fun. I enjoy it much more than GW2, that game is gorgeous but its boring, story sucks and auto attack makes combat dull. Ive played a few mmos since I left and after returning to this game I think its the best on the market. I was also someone who was angry with the game when I left, thought Id never return. Now Im back and yeah the fanboy goggles arent on anymore but I have flirted with other games on the market and returned to this one skeptical but pleasantly surprised. Im ready to settle down with SWTOR now, I just wish I had the first time around because now I have to catch up
  7. Sorry but if you dont remember the difficulty modes, you werent clearing content in any kind of HC raiding/ progression guild. Sounds to me like you did them a few times and called it quits
  8. don't diminishing returns take effect at a certain point with main stat? If so that would make them pretty optional
  9. haven't they always been broken since the newer missions are near impossible with Grade 7 armor.
  10. Collections doesn't seem very useful to me. I have like nothing in it lol
  11. Just curious, do you have a naga mouse by chance? I used to feel the same just because of all the abilities I have had to manage in mmos. I got the Naga and it makes such a huge difference. The muscle memory comes quick and its so much simpler to flow through rotations and manage your abilities.
  12. I think this is great news for anyone that enjoys this game. Im also looking forward to a new Battlefront.
  13. I dunno. Madden sales are still ridiculous every year and people still love it. I stopped playing just cause I got burnt out on sports games and would rather play mmos now but Madden was always top notch in my book.
  14. I used to think like this with WoW. I came to the game late and disliked how I couldn't run the old content anymore cause no one did them. Then I started playing DCUO cause im a big DC fan and the combat was great. They have never raised the level cap in that game, just done a gear increase with new content. At first I thought it was great but eventually it just turned into a giant grind. Sure they made it easier as you went along but it pretty much ruined making an alt. Sure older content remained useful to do but it just became boring having to play through that content for the umpteenth time. I think Level cap increases are a better choice for this game. It gives them the chance to add a large amount of story which is this games bread and butter. It also has been the best way to bridge the gap for new or returning players. If they do this and expand with new content like they are with GS I think the game will just keep getting better. I am kind of curious if they are going to do two DLCs a year like this year with one being a progression expac and one adding new elements and game design. I think that's pretty solid.
  15. also I have a friend who was a main tank as well in our raid group that would be highly interested in joining if we can find a guild with a similar play time.
  16. Hows it going folks, I used to be pretty hardcore in this game, then GW2 came out and tricked me into thinking it was awesome lol. (i kid its not bad, just not for me) I ended up getting a job and took a long break from mmo gaming. Well I just returned to SWTOR and love all thats been added. I feel like theres much more to do. EC HM was the last content I was working on btw. So now that im returning I think its time I find a new guild. I actually ran my own guild before so my experience is pretty solid. Im drama free and just lookin for a fun casual progression guild. Life outside the game is pretty busy for me so I can no longer play this game at a hardcore level like I did. I like to play weekdays and nights. Im really looking for a guild that runs content between 830pm and 11pm pacific time. The reason being is I spend time with my family after work a lot and thats the main time I can be reliable. I have a marauder named Demmin and am currently running him through the last xpac. Hopefully I can find a chill group to run with.
  17. OP is right. You guys obviously dont understand how F2P models are more beneficial for the game. A lot of AAA mmos that offer a f2p version have been able to release content much quicker after the transition.
  18. OP, this is a good thing. F2P versions arent "taboo" anymore, they are practically expected if you want your mmo to succeed. Things are looking up
  19. I like how you say "you" there considering the fact that if you are posting here then your account is active so they have "used you" as well.
  20. All those games have had more success after offering a F2P model than they did prior. Do some research
  21. All of those MMOs have released expansions, dlc, content packs after converting and reported a much more profitable return after the change. Thats not failure, thats adapting to be successful. Nor is it being on life support. Wouldnt a failed mmo be one that was shut down prematurely? Those games still thrive and have healthy communities or do you believe there is a standard goal all mmos need to reach to be deemed successful? Seems like you just think the term "F2P" is taboo. It was 5 years ago, now its the preferred business model. Too many people got bad views of F2P because of all the old korean grind games that were very poor quality. Now games release as F2P and are very popular. Look at games like LoL and the upcoming marvel universe online. F2P games, LoL is one of the most popular games out there and MUO is a high quality game with a lot of promise. Sub only games cant compete.
  22. I didnt say they were the same, they are both F2P versions of the game. SWTOR's version just offers more, which makes it better. It doesnt offer the whole game though. Very few people play an mmo just to level, dont kid yourself
  23. you arent offering a reason as to why it is. Furthermore, how many mmos out there dont offer this now. very very few. If you are an MMO gamer, it is time to expect that this business model is the the standard.
