  1. I guess I don't understand the point you're trying to make. You use the same strategy to kill a guarded healer in 8s as in arena. There are advantages and disadvantages to tank stance and guard in PvP and while I admit, it's a pain to deal with sometimes, it's part of the game.
  2. Most of the problems are due to laggy character models in Huttball. Whomever is closest to the center of the circle will catch the ball.

    Boo hoo!

Hmmm that gives me an idea. Gunslingers are drastically underpowered and need IMMEDIATE buffs.
  4. I don't even know where to begin when complaining about PvP gearing in this game.
  5. Just what I wanted to read with an hour left on my crappy Saturday shift.
  6. Funny because that's the only true competitive game play in SWTOR.
  7. Lol, it took people this long to realize that? There is a massive list of things BW assured us about pre-release that never made it into the game. People don't realize that BW lost literally millions on this game and the remaining budget is miniscule. The layoffs alone will limit the new content for this game--forever. They will continue to give us as little as possible while asking as much as possible from us. But, I think there are multiple conversations going on in this thread. People like you are observing the bigger picture...and I completely agree with you on most points. Others are simply crying that they can't get their cosmetics and threatening to unsub if they don't get what they want.
  8. Breaking up the classes into force-user and non-force-user is pretty stupid. In those terms, I witness equality. This discussion should be in terms of AC.
  9. So when I'm in a 4-man premade and everyone experiences the lag-spikes at the exact same time, we all just have crappy rigs? You obviously haven't experienced what I'm talking about and I don't have any evidence (videos, screens, etc.) so this discussion is pointless for me to participate in. It astounds me that you don't think there are server-side issues with this game.
  10. I like that. We like F2P players because they make our Pay-to-Play experience better. That would work here, too. As a PvPer, the more people who participate, the better. That doesn't really fix stale content, though. The novelty of a new WZ doesn't last long, especially when it's mediocre entertainment-wise. When will we get Ilum back?
  11. I'm pretty sure this was the intended result of allowing Cartel Market perks to be traded (sorry, don't have a source for this).
  12. Lol, I didn't know this. I wish I would've saved one of BW's "WHITE CRYSTALS WILL NEVER AGAIN BE IN THE GAME SO SPEND 2.5 MIL ON THEM" posts.
  13. Posted in "Life day items on cartel market insulting"
  14. My issue is the fact that they keep taking things away from PvPers instead of adding more. Where is the XP and credit gain from WZs originally designed to enable PvP leveling? Where are the other gear sets for sub-50 PvPers? Where's Ilum? Where are Centurion, Champion, and Battlemaster sets? I think people lose track of all the things that they've taken away from us and say "OOOOOO a new WZ! Shiny!" There's no progression for end-game PvP. They've now taken the last-remaining rank requirements off of the gear, effectively making the 50 PvP model entirely based on commendation gain through WZs. Why not keep all the armor sets in with progression similar to WAR? A different piece unlocked for each valor rank. EDIT: Referencing WAR just made me start thinking about it more. The PvP was so dynamic in that game. Granted, it wasn't DAOC, but it had a lot going for it. I really liked how the scenarios rotated based on where the current RvR conflict was at the time.
  15. Believe me, I am as big a EA/BW hater as anyone, but I think you're misguided in this instance. The devs deemed that 50 slots was optimally stable for each player during development. They saw that people wanted more, so they offered it as an extra because they knew not everyone would cough up the extra money for it. This way, the people who really want it get it, but not enough people utilize it to create stability issues. Additionally, what do you think the monthly allotted CCs for subscribers are meant for? Extras like this.
  16. I returned to the game and faced the same choice that the article's author discusses: resub or don't play. I enjoy the game enough, so I resubbed. Anyone who thinks that this F2P model is anything other than ludicrous is kidding themselves, though. That article is outdated and too riddled with sarcastic, scathing opinions to be of any real value, though.
  17. People don't realize that the cap was 50 prior to the expanded option being available.
  18. I wish OP would have presented this issue better, but to be honest, he shouldn't have to. If you haven't experienced any of the blatant instability issues, you're 1. extremely lucky, 2. unobservant, or 3. not correctly understanding what you're experiencing. The best ways to see these problems firsthand: PvE: spend an extended amount of time fighting on Alderaan. Alderaan is a very unstable planet server-side. You will eventually find mobs that aren't where they appear to be, resulting in the error messages others have posted as well as inexplicable FPS jumps in certain places. PvP: play one Huttball WZ. The worst character model location discrepancies in any game I've ever played as well as random, inexplicable lag spikes. The lag spikes are worse now than they have ever been.
  19. How has this not been blatantly obvious before now? Ask anyone who was active on the closed beta forums how much BW listens to the community... Basically, we told you so.
  20. They're upset only because they're holiday items. If the new items were just new appearance items, a new speeder, and a new random holo that weren't "Life Day" themed, they wouldn't be complaining. I mean...sorry that they didn't do a Christmas live event. Sucks if you wanted one. But unsubbing...even being "offended" by what they did is just asinine.
  21. The only valid argument I've seen is that it kind of screws crafters over. And it does.
  22. I seriously can't believe all the people claiming they're cancelling because of an addition that has 0 effect on actual game play. MMOers, man....just wow.
  23. Returning players will tell you that the server stability is worse now than it was in earlier stages of release.
