No you're missing then point. You don't have fleet issues and I occasionally DO have a little lag (not bad) but that doesn't mean the problem doesn't exist. I never said you guys aren't having problems, I'm just saying that this happens with every game and you guys are exaggerating the scope of the problem. Not everyone is having issues. In fact, we don't have any a numbers. And as I said,the forum doesn't represent much of the actual playbase. So yes, some fixes will be needed to help the game run better on different systems. But it doesn't mean the engine sucks. This is a common problem on games.

It runs fine on my system and for many other people as well. Its hilarious when a portion of a community act like they represent everyone. You do know that this forum doesn't even represent the actual playerbase. In case you are new to gaming, most players don't even post on a game's forum. lol

Minor amount my ***. I dropped from around 80 fps (on ULTRA) to 45-50 on BF3. That isn't minor at all.

Then that doesn't mean the engine sucks, it just means the game has the problem that every other game has.... Its not optimized for every single system setup out there. Most games release endless patches to fix issues like that. Back when I used an ATI card on my old system I constantly had issues like that with tons of games.

Fraps will lower my FPS but I can get you a screenshot (with my fps displayed) tonight when I pvp.

And you pretending problems are bigger than they are won't actually make them bigger. If the engine was the main problem here then everyone would have problems not just some people. The fact is that some people have problems on every game ever made. Its hard to make a game that will run well on every system. This is the same argument I had with people on Skyrim. A lot of people had issues running the game and said the engine is trash even though many of us play the game with no problems, including both mid and high end PCs. The fact is that we don't know exactly what the root of the problems are so blaming it entirely on an engine is just easier I guess. If you're not a programmer or game designer then you pretty much don't know what you're talking about anyway.

If loading time takes 15 minutes then you sir have a hardware or connection problem.

Do you play any other games? If you just want something to specifically run this game at a decent FPS then you could probably get one for even less than what I posted.

You can get a good one for around $600-750 that will play any current game on HIGH and even ULTRA settings. You don't have to spend thousands. I just sent a list of links to parts for someone else on here that will cost him about $750 for a good pc.

What? Everytime I look at the EU servers most of them have a "standard" or "Heavy" population. At least you aren't playingon one of the Light servers here in the US. They need to merge some servers. I have said this a million times. I have never seen a new MMO have over 120+ servers at launch. That is just insane.

Oh yeah, you need to pretty much upgrade everything. A dual core can run the game but you won't have a good FPS on that machine. You can either upgrade or wait for the low-res update like someone else suggested. I don't know how much that will help though. If you want a pc that can run most games well it will cost you around $600-700 for upgrades.

No I don't get ANY lag on illum most of the time. In fact the only place where my FPS does drop a bit is at the Fleet. Yes, we all have different setups and its hard to be sure a game is going to be optimized to play well on every machine. But that doesn't mean the engine sucks. If it was entirely the engine's fault then we would all have issues.

Yeah you can tell by the posts like, "This game is dead no matter what BW tries to do to fix it!" and "GW will be so much better than SWTOR!!" Yeah they do it because they want the game to get better...

I don't trust companies or people because everyone has motives. Secondly, it would be logical to compare to other engines if that is indeed the problem but this is all speculation. If all of us had lag then I would agree it is entirely the engine causing the problem.

You need a better card and more ram. What is your processor?

I bought an Alienware about 8 years ago and paid almost $4000 for it. It definitely wasn't worth the price. Since then I have built three high end PCs for a fraction of the price.

Less than 1k? No problem * GTX 580 or even a 560 ti would be good. But if you get the 560 be sure that it is the TI version. * 8gb ram * i7 processor or an i5 (make sure its quad core of at least 3.1 ghz) * 700 watt psu * A cheap compatible motherboard would cost you around $90-$150 I can find some good prices if you need help. Anyway with that setup you can play BF3 on Ultra and any other current game as well, with good FPS.

If you get 10 fps then your system sucks. The end. Tera isn't even out yet. WoW was a total lagfest at first. And no one plays Aion so what massive pvp battles are there?

I call bs unless your internet connection sucks. That setup isn't far below mine and I get ZERO performance issues even on Ilum and WZs. There is a slight fps drop occasionally but nothing bad like you guys are describing.
