  1. *umbrella up!* Yeah. Some of those points are really bad. Really, really bad.
  2. Corso needs to be set on fire. you are my friend.
  3. A Jedi Shadow can tank and Stealth and a Smuggler Scoundrel can heal and stealth.
  4. Why would someone be for re-spec and against dual spec? It's the same thing really, one just saves you time and credits.
  5. (from another thread) Agreed, with the way things currently are, you won't run into a bad player because of dual specialization. However, I am willing to bet that a vast majority of those bad players will be bad players with one spec or two, and even if that is not the case, I am willing to run into a bad player now and then, to let people have the freedom to play whatever they find is fun without tedious grinding of the same class over again.
  6. It DOES have consequences though. If I spec to a tank spec and dont know what I'm doing, word is going to get around that I dont know what I'm doing, and I won't be invited to groups anymore. The community DOES police things like that. As to your last bit. Kinetic Combat and Infiltration have a lot of the same abilities, making me relatively familiar with how both work (But certainly one would need to practice and study before making the switch though) But the two different abilities ARE NEEDED to play it efficiently. There is enough of a difference to make switching specs necessary, but NOT enough of a difference to justify me playing all of the same content again. But this is just a matter of opinion, not fact. The fact is, dual specialization and how much it is needed is a matter of opinion. It isn't necessary, and therefore if you don't want it, don't use it. But the game will NOT be worse off for it.
  7. You CAN'T use the "people are lazy" argument here and hope to make sense, because again, you are calling out the faults of people and assigning them to the system of Dual Specialization. That's like saying (to use an extreme example) that no one should be able to drive cars because some idiot got into an accident and killed someone. And I DID level my class from level one. I played my Shadow from 1 to 50. Just like you did your class. I think it is within my right to try another class within the Shadow AC without having to play the exact same class, with the exact same story again. If you are speaking of dual Advanced Classes, I am against that. Because Sage and Shadow are VERY different game play experiences. But Infiltration and Kinetic Combat are NOT unique. They are nearly the same thing with 2 different abilities, and a slightly tweaked rotation.
  8. Again. It's the players fault for not doing the research. It's not the fault of the dual spec system. If I have multiple specializations, it is on ME to learn how to play them correctly. If I don't, I expect to be removed from the group. Don't get rid of a perfectly good system because an idiot gets a hold of it. There will always be stupid people. Don't punish ME because they aren't capable of playing a second specialization properly.
  9. I'm glad this topic keeps coming up. I'm also glad that we are getting dual specialization, because it hurts nothing at all. If you play with someone that doesn't know their stuff, it's not because of dual spec, it's because that person doesn't know how to play. Dual spec does not hurt diversity, it creates more healers and tanks, which makes the DPS/Healer/Tank ratio more balanced. Y'know, more diverse. If you really hate dual spec, don't use it. No skin off anyone's back. Or you can quit. I won't mind if you do, really.
  10. Gaming is a hobby. If your hobby is no longer fun, get a hobby that is more fun for you. Or at least pick another game. Meanwhile myself and 99% of the other Europeans will get over it and realize we have things we can do outside of the game, and beyond a casual "thats not cool" we will do nothing, and be quite fine with it, because we realize we are playing a game that is based around a US time schedule. If you don't like it, don't play. But you're really just making yourself look silly, mate.
  11. I play an Alzheimers patient. But seriously, I use 1-7 keys, modified with shift and alt. 21 keybindings, thats all I need for 99.9% of fights as a Shadow Tank/Infiltrator. I have 8- = bound as well, but those are things I dont use often at all (huttball, vanish, mount etc) and I really dont use much of those 21 bindings either, and I am pretty damn good.
  12. You make some good points, but number 11 makes absolutely no sense at all. It's a bonus quest. With absolutely no story tie in whatsoever, if your consular wouldn't do it, don't do it.
  13. You realize that EA/Bioware aren't really making a lot of money at all on the transaction. The things are dirt cheap and the cost pretty much just covers shipping. The real reward for them is less time trying to recover hacked accounts.
