As a healer sorcerer I can get the 2.5k crit medal with lightning storm so that logic doesn't make any sense at all. There is NO WAY I can crit for 2.5k on a single target with lightning storm, the single target crits are only ~1200 or so. No way I could even do it with guarded damage spillover. Frequently if I lightning storm a group or 4-5 people in voidstar I will get the 2.5k crit medal.

Well 37.99 is also well beyond the point where diminishing returns starts to affect crit % Its entirely possible that the amount of crit rating given to you by maxing him out is not even enough to budge it... but that's a VERY wild guess.

So everyone complains that the game is dying, the population is dropping, the servers are becoming ghost towns... And then they complain when Bioware has a sale on the game to try to get more new people to buy it. I see the logic! Maybe the problem with this game is not the game itself, but the people who play it

You need to max AND complete all conversations in order to get the bonuses. My guess is he still wants to speak with you privately.

Its a PLAGUE! It doesn't just "disappear" because someone wants it to. I think its a riot that the plague is dying off slowly. I kind of want to get a character sick with it and stay logged out for a month or so, and log in to get some people sick. Its like a real disease during flu season. You people need some imagination.

The system here is actually that the reward scales on the score. Once you get 8 medals, you stop getting rewards based on medals. The rest of the commendations you gain come from the score. You won 1-0 in one of the games. Therefore get 8 medals, and 1 "score" weighting on your rewards. The other game, you got 8 medals, and 6 "score" weighting on your rewards. The rewards are not about personal stats, they are about team stats. And your team was unable to cap more than 1 door. This is entirely possibly because you defended first and immediately got the first door ending the game... which is an inherent flaw in the new Voidstar design, but has nothing to do with bioware calculating the rewards incorrectly.

I noticed last night after buying some of the war hero and battlemaster patterns and crafting them until I got crits, that the non-crits that I intended to reverse engineer in order to recoup a portion of the materials... were not able to be REd. I assumed this was something that had implemented for these PvP gear pieces, no big deal. So I then proceeded to craft a handful of level 11 light armor chests pieces for my new rattataki jedi shadow until I got a crit. I made I think 11 or 12 of them and didn't get a crit, bad luck. Couldn't RE those either, and I know I used to be able to. What's the deal?

I play on Port Nowhere - its an interesting choice because the Empire and Republic are actually fairly evenly populated. Typically between 120-150 on empire side, and 90-100 republics on at peak hours most nights. The server is very very heavily PvP focused however, with minimal raiding guilds and PuGs going on for raids.

Warrior in WoW was far more simple... No matter which spec you chose in WoW as a warrior you only really had maybe 4 primary attacks, two gap closers, an interrupt, and maybe 3 situational abilities. Hot keys for consumables and cooldowns to be done with a macro. At level 30 killing mobs questing or pvping I already have twice the hot keys I did while doing end game heroic raids in WoW.

@thenightmare - why using an alt modifier key is bad - well let's assume that people who do use the alt modifier key run a WASD setup. Let's now assume that are decent players so they rebind their A and D to strafe left and right instead of turn left and right. You say you use alt 1 - 4. Can you explain how you plan on using alt 1 while strafing left? If your hands are in the WASD position you will need to swing your thumb over to alt from the space bar. Naturally you could then put your ring finger on 1 while your pointer finger is on D (making right strafe quite easy). But look at what happens when you move your ring finger over to A. Your hand is now in an extremely odd position. This is undesirable since it is not simple to use other keys that arn't GCD reliant e.g. taunts, buffs, changing directions, tab targetting etc. You may decide that when pressing the alt-1 key you will never jump and never strafe left but then I would say that sounds like an insufficient setup when you have such restrictions. First of all, i turn with my mouse, I will never use A or D to turn, so that alt 1+ a scenario is thrown out. Now strafe is Q... Hitting Q and 1 with my ring finger at the same time while pressing alt is very easy, same with Q or W and 1 or 2. I have small hands, I'm not a tall guy, and perhaps I have exceptionally short pinkies, but trying to contort my hand to hit ctl is tough especially if I am trying to ctl 5 or ctl 6. Taunts and interrupts and stuff that are off GCD I put on mouse 3 and 4 and **** mouse 3 and 4 etc... You can try to tell me it's not desirable or that I'm bad but the fact is there is no wrong way to do something (except clicking). Hell I played EQ 1 back in the day with the arrow keys and num pad since you could only macro 8 abilities and auto attack.

Can someone explain to me why alt modifier keys make someone bad? We don't all have giant hands that can reach to the ends of the keyboard without a thought. I personally use 1-6, m4 m5, shift m4 and m5, alt m4 and m5, alt 1-4, d, a, and ~. I'm definitely not bad.

Just throwing this out there as someone who frequently uses incendiary missile. Even though I'm pyro I often find it more beneficial to pvp with ion up for the boost in damage reduction. Since that doesn't apply a dot with flame burst, I rely on incendiary missile. Now if I'm not being hit this obviously isn't important, but honest if I'm guarding a healer and defending or attacking a door the chance of NOT being hit by someone or some splash is pretty much nil. Maybe this is the wrong attitude?

Chest dropped randomly for me doing the pirates of Taris quest off the infected pirate captain. That I know of there is no modable version of the boots.

I love our ship! It's triangular shape makes doing barrel rolls so much more fun. It just needs a paint job and some TLC.
