  1. FAIL.... My god that is the most fail strat in the game. When I see people doing this in the WZ it makes me want to smash my keyboard. Yeah gimp your side even more by sending a player to stand around on the opposite side of the map and do nothing while the enemy force speeds over the fire and scores 6 points straight. Thanks. I don't hate Huttball, personally. Though as a sniper I feel pretty pointless, even topping the DPS boards. I'm just sick of people pretending that every class is equal in Hutball because it's complete nonsense.
  2. You take more time over all, and practice when you can. There is nothing stopping you from getting better, but yourself. That's different than an artifical, in game gap that cannot be surpassed regardless of how skilled you may or not be.
  3. This ^ Truth.... As I said in another thread....
  4. PvP should be about War. Winning the war for your faction. Taking and holding objectives, killing enemy players, and completing PvP missions. Not grinding for personal rewards. PvP progression should be based around faction vs faction rewards. Opening important strategic areas and advantages and holding them for your faction, unlocking valuable resources, which in turn allows your faction crafters to create better gear, which anyone in your faction can buy and use to help you in the future. Instead of grinding for stat advantages, you should want other players of your faction to acquire the best gear as well, so when you face the enemy you're better prepared as a faction. Bioware dropped the ball by starting the game with this stupid gear progression mentality in the first place. Now people are stuck in the box, thinking it's the only reason to play.
  5. Please don't trivialize PVP by making it all about gear. Thanks.
  6. No. But when there IS space in the game, I expect it to be good.
  7. LoL... Calling it "a small side game" as if that's good enough doesn't really make your point. Space in this game is something that some people might do while leveling their first couple characters, but the vast majority of players don't really bother with it at all. It's pointless, grindy, outdated, juvenile.... and bad. Calling it "a small side game" is not an excuse for systems in the game that most players do not enjoy. Do I play MMOs for space? Yes, when they have space in them I expect it to be worth playing. Features in the game should be good, or not be in at all. Just saying "well I didn't expect much".... does not give them a free pass to put any old trash in the game.
  8. It really feels like they based this game from only two sources.... KOTOR and WoW. Other than those two games, I don't see much being used from anywhere else. Which is a shame really, because SWG is only one MMO that they missed the boat with. Great ideas can come from many sources. They really should have looked into games like SWG, EQ2, LOTRO, EVE, and DAoC just to name a few.
  9. Just because you knew before hand that Space was bad isn't a very good excuse for having a bad system in the game.
  10. There's more to the OP than that. He makes some good points.
  11. That's more about Star Wars than anything else.
  12. This is how I would vote, if the objective scores did a better job of representing who did the most to take / hold objectrives, but as of now the objective scores seem pretty broken to me. Voidstar for example, you get objective points for camping a single door, no matter what happens on the other door.... but if you stay towards the middle running back and forth, you get nothing, no matter how many enemy players you stop from planting a bomb.
  13. This. I don't usually get many MVP votes, because I don't stand in one spot spamming my highest heal / DPS rotation the whole game. I do what needs to be done. I plant bombs on doors, get to objectives ASAP in order to stop the enemy from taking them, even if it means death because the healer is back in the hallway healing some guy who is nowhere near the objective. I don't camp one objective to get the most points, I move constantly, answering incoming calls, CC ball handlers, get back on defense, etc. etc. etc. This doesn't always lead to having the best stats on the leader board, or the most MVP votes... but it does lead to more wins, and that's what I care about.
  14. Your gear? Really I do agree with you some what, but there are certain classes that are over powered / under powered and people have a right to complain. Even if they end up wrong. If there is a perceived issue, it's Bioware's job to look into it. Not to cave to baseless QQ, but to do their own checking and come to their own conclusions. You can't just assume that all classes are balanced and be done with it. If Bioware looks into an issue brought up on the forums and makes a change, good. If they find nothing wrong and leave a class as is, that's good too. People who QQ about the change are no different that the complaints that brought the change in the first place. You admit that you're fully geared, so obviously you're going to have an easier time of it regardless of your class. You're most likely fighting under-geared players, so your opinion is going to be a bit, skewed.
  15. /agree with the OP. For one thing the entire Dirty Fighting / Lethality tree needs to be reworked so that Scoundrels / Operatives can create at least one viable ranged spec.
