  1. ^ what he said. Bugs like this go overlooked. I'm still trying to get them to fix weapons with effects that disappear during combat.
  2. TLDR: The Tythian Lightsaber Pike's Blade length changes on use of certain abilities. To replicate bug: Equip the Tythian Lightsaber Pike. With the weapon drawn the blade length should be (and starts as) that of a shoto lightsaber. When an ability is used that causes the lightsaber to disappear/leave your hands for a time, (I.E. Overload, Voltaic slash, looting with weapon drawn) the blade length changes to that of a normal lightsaber. The length returns to that of a shoto when the weapon is put away and re-drawn. Please fix this weapon's blade, as it is a platinum rarity item that a lot of people payed a lot of money to get out of crates, and others worked hard to loot. (Similar bugs exist on other rare weapons with effects all the way back to the first cartel packs and gree weapons, and fixing those would be really appreciated too. You have something screwy with the code about weapon effects and spawning/spawning the weapon in the character's hands. You've also never officially acknowledged this issue.)
  3. Hate to break it to you, but those positions are client side. you can see one positions, and your friend sees another.
  4. Hello! Kintosi from <The Jedi Conclave> here. We just bought ourselves a new stronghold, and would really like to get a Yavin Combat Arena to use on a starship hook. The availability of these decos is pretty sparse, so we are asking if we could pay someone (Cost of donation + bonus credits) to briefly join our guild and donate the decoration. I could also donate a First Grand Statue of Mandalore to a guild in return for the help. It would be much appreciated!

  6. I bought a flagship for myself. Does that count?
  7. The thread isn't mine, and the question was not answered. The names "Phoenix Ascendant" and "Fang of the Krayt" are certainly not against the EULA or ToS.
  8. So, you're saying that "Phoenix Ascendant" "The Phoenix Ascendant" and "Fang of the Krayt" are not okay, when "lollipop" is? Yes, I don't think so. There is a bug somewhere.
  9. I recently purchased a valor class cruiser stronghold. In attempting to name it, everything I choose lists as Unavailable. These names are not, in fact, taken, leading me to believe the glitch effecting guild names.
  10. There is some other glitch here as well. Lots of names read as 'unavailable' when they are in fact, available. This applies to naming Guildships as well.
  11. Anyone else like the idea..? Seems like a simple change and cool improvement.
  12. I like that idea as well, but i wanted to keep it simple for the moment.
  13. Check out ICON. Used to run with them. Good group for the most part.
  14. As many of us know, the Imperial Agent and Republic Trooper often use a blaster pistol in story cutscenes rather than their primary weapon. These pistols, however, are not actually equipped and don't show outside of cutscenes. I for one would like to see a toggle option similar to 'hide helmet' or 'show darkside corruption' that would allow troopers and agent to display or hide the pistol at will. While this an entirely cosmetic change, it would be an interesting ability for role-players and those who want to look extra well-armed. Hopefully this wouldn't be too difficult to code. TLDR: - Add a toggle that allows Agents and Troopers to show/hide their pistol used in cutscenes outside of said cutscenes.
  15. A bit of additional advice. Consider making a private guild, and creating a stronghold with it. That way, you only need 1 library in your collection and then can donate them for 25k each. This lets you create spectacular libraries and other sic rooms at a fraction of the cost. Have a look at my GSH if you like. I created a huge library there. Screenshot doesn't do it justice. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=880218&page=0
  16. There is a similar item that can be made by crafting. http://tor-decorating.com/ancient-library-archive/
  17. Hey man. It really all comes down to what you consider a good FPS. To put it in perspective, I usually end up with around ~30 FPS during intense gameplay or near large groups. Some people demand higher, but I survive on it. This game is incredibly poorly optimized. Don't believe me? Turn off your UI (Ctrl + U) and watch your FPS spike. The UI alone kills your FPS. Anyway, light and shadows in this game engine are extremely hard on your system. My rig is as follows: AMD FX8350 4.0ghz 8core processor NVIDIA GeForce 670 16 gab ram Corsair 220gb Solid state hard drive with the game and OS Win 10 With that I can get ~30 FPS on a normal day with dynamic shadows on at the lowest map resolution. I also knock down grass and trees to ~50% for good measure. From what I have heard and seen, processor is more important than Graphics card for this game. That's just how the game engine works. And even with that their code is pretty bad at using your hardware to its optimum. The game one accesses 2 CPU cores even if you have more. (No hyper threading either.) Hope that helps.
  18. Thanks for the replies! The Sith room is just semi-blocked by some library computers that hide the doors. You have to platform over some crates and slip behind them datacron-style to get in.
  19. Unfortunately he's right, mate. I'm sitting on an Nvidia 670, SSD, 16 GB ram, and an AMD FX8350 Octo-core processor and I still have issues, especially with the latest patches. It seems like shadows and lighting cause the most issues for my PC, causing a stutter effect when panning the camera near particularly detailed effects. (I.E star fortress Skytrooper Praetorian room or Rishi arena WZ). This is on my PC that runs the new Battlefront on maximum settings on my 27" HD monitor at like 120fps or something rediculous. A long time ago (in a galaxy far... Wait. No.) I found a thread that described how to change a file to allow multi-core rendering in SWTOR. It did seem to work, but wasn't a huge improvement. The game only uses 2 cores by default and required some technical knowledge to find and edit a settings file to allow it to use all 8 of my cores. So yea, grab an SSD for a bit faster of a load. That's all you can do.
  20. This is the stronghold of our guild, the Alliance Reconnaissance and Covert Operations Division or R C O D. I know it is only Coruscant, but a lot of time, care, effort, design, and over 10 million credits in donated decorations went into this themed stronghold. We have a massive Jedi library, a combat training room, a medical ward, common rooms, and even a hidden (sort of) Sith Sanctum. You can check it out HERE on TOR Decorating. Please let us know what you think! - Weaponmaster Kintosi
  21. *Watches the value of old weapons like the Ziost Guardian saber plummet* Well, hopefully all weapons get a slot like all armor gets dyes.
  22. You're right of course. Typing from memory at work.
  23. Dogfighting t1: Primary: Ion Primary: Quads Secondary: conc or cluster (preference) Shield: Directional Engines: Retro or Barrel roll (preference) Freq capacitor Large shields Turning thrusters Recharge capacitor Strategy: Ion through shields, swap to quads and lock missiles. High burst with survivability. Go evasive and use directional shields to the front when jousting. Piercing T2: Primary: HLC Secondary: EMP w/ engine ability disable Secondary: Proton Torp Shield: Directional Engine: roll Range capacitor Munitions cap extender Large shields Heavy armor Strategy: everything you have pierces shields to an extent, bypassing most of the HP ships have. Lock EMP and fire. If they use and an engine ability, swap to Protorps and they can't evade that one. If it hits, EMP disables their engine ability. Same result. HLC piercing to finish them off. This is particularly effective at mid range and against bombers and strikes. Still works on scouts and GSs too. Distortion field can throw off your rhythm, though.
